It was getting desperate and since MrsMCJnr suggestion came in last and I was being lazy I just went for that - hope that is ok.

So

I often think of J and his wolf, Simpson. Does he still like it

simpson · 06/09/2011 22:16

lol LaT -Grin

He still has his wolf, its still one of his favourite toys although now its generally a "baddie" that his power rangers have to defeat Grin

One of his favourite expressions is when people (ie M) "cry wolf" Grin

He did well at the toy shop Shock He came back with the play mobil police car and 2 power ranger figures and he choice a peppa pig figure for M

He is back to school tomorrow, he can't wait!!

latrucha · 07/09/2011 13:43

Aw Simpson. What a nice boy. Hope he enjoys school today.

simpson · 08/09/2011 09:20

M has got her settling in session at nursery school this morning.

She looks sooo cut in her uniform.

The only problem is that she does not start "officially" till 20th so think we are going to have temper tantrums every morning till then as I expect her to really enjoy it

Anyone know the cheapest place to get a maxi scooter???

J's scooter (think JKS bought the same one) has finally given up (it has done well for £3.50, lasted 2yrs)

My parents are going to go halves on a maxi for him but need it as cheap as poss....

JKSLtd · 08/09/2011 20:31

I don't know Simps but let me know when you find somewhere. Think they probably will be worth the money though, should last quite a while.

simpson · 08/09/2011 20:43

am also thinking hen it can be passed onto M too. Cheapest I have found so far is £89

latrucha · 08/09/2011 22:01

Smile Simpson - I am your scooter friend.

in Jojo Maman Bebe for £93
code HZ92 gives 15% off making it £79.05 (free del)

Not bad. You could wait for one of their 20% codes

simpson · 08/09/2011 22:17

LaT - I think I love you!!! Grin Grin

Have just ordered it!!!

My dad will give me £60 and J got £15 fo his birthday so its cost me £4!!! Grin

He is going to be soooo pleased!!!

Got M's from there too with a 20% discount so have done rather well Grin

simpson · 08/09/2011 22:33

LaT - you have made 2 people very happy as my friend has ordered one too Grin

latrucha · 09/09/2011 11:34
Smile

Kids have decided to wake up int he night again. One decent night's sleep in two weeks. Am fed up and at that 'crazy' point of tiredness. It's not that I'm that nice to them when I go in. Essentially I tell them to get back to sleep and leave.

It's going to be a long afternoon.
Sigh.

JKSLtd · 09/09/2011 18:00

LaT - i can recommend the pillow-over-the-head approach Grin

And thanks from me for the that tip too, i will look into it maybe as a Christmas present, or maybe to put away for May for birthday, he still uses his micro scooter, not sure when they need to change?

latrucha · 09/09/2011 21:47

Grrr. I war trying it. DH helpfully roused me from my heavy sleep the last two nights to let me know S was crying.

He won't be doing that again.

We are however resigned to being up and jolly at six am from now on. Hmm

simpson · 09/09/2011 21:51

J is an early bird too, but luckily he is old enough to come downstairs and amuse himself etc.

His job in the morning is to put the cats out. Luckily he can tell the time and he is not allowed downstairs till 7am now as I have caught him trying to nseak down at 6am before Shock

M is like me she likes her bed Grin

simpson · 09/09/2011 21:54

JKS - maxi scooter is from 6 I think.

J has quite a few friends who still use the smaller one though although they are quite petite. J uses M's too although won't do it near the school gates in case any of his mates see as its pink Grin

simpson · 09/09/2011 21:55

The friends are petite not the scooter iyswim Grin

JKSLtd · 09/09/2011 21:58

6 am is my line in the sand, before that i'm pissed off, grumpy, it's night-time etc. once 6 arrives (atm) i resign myself to daytime and get up and am not too grumpy.

We've recently moved towards 6.30 which is nice and civilised :)

simpson · 09/09/2011 22:00

and just think, fast forward 10yrs and we won't be able to get them out of bed Hmm Grin

latrucha · 10/09/2011 09:52

Yup. I'm looking forward to that bit. I have plans Grin

quarter to six today. sigh.

simpson · 10/09/2011 20:25

JKS - how did London Zoo go???

Was it an MN meet-up as there was one on there today.

Gutted, got a text yesterday at about 4pmish (in the middle of M's dance class) from a friend who said she had got free tickets to go and see Dolly parton live at the O2 for that day (ie yesterday) and could not get a babysitter Sad

LaT - eek at h early start....

simpson · 10/09/2011 20:27

the Blush keyboard is pants Sad

JKSLtd · 11/09/2011 09:29

The zoo was good, exhausting and mostly the boys like stuff that isn't live animals, hey ho.
I didn't go as part of an MN meetup, it was a SN kids day so maybe the meetup was to do with that too? We just went as us but there were lots of groups around. Gutted to think there may have been loads of MNers and I didn't spot them!

simpson · 11/09/2011 11:27

Ah that explains it then as they do all have kids with SN.

Glad you had a good day Grin

J is getting very impatient waiting for his scooter, have explained that there is not post on a sunday Hmm but it does not seem to have sunk in

latrucha · 14/09/2011 19:20

Did it come yet, Simpson?

Can I ask when your little ones go to bed and when they get up. In our house, bedtime is between 6.30 and 7.30 depending on the day. Recently we rarely make it past 7 and yesterday I put them to bed at 6 and they went out like lights. They woke up flipping early, but they do that anyway.

simpson · 14/09/2011 22:29

yes its here Grin

I had a go on it and nearly broke my neck Blush then M took it off me and zipped about Blush Grin

TBH if I had seen this one first I would have got it for M as when you lower the handle bar to the lowest setting its the same size as the mini micro Hmm although the footstep bit is much bigger, and it weighs a ton!!!

M goes to bed at 6.30 and is up around 8am (she likes her bed like me Grin)

J now goes up to his room at around 7.30ish but has been known to still be reading at 8.30 and he was up at 6.30am this morning
