Oh god, 5 heel pricks? That is not good.

She's been sleeping since she got home and had a feed. Content as you like. And probably preparing another epic nappy for me. Bless her. At least I have learnt that you always need a spare set of clothes.

CurlyCasper · 04/03/2011 13:42

yup, can feel for you on that one too.'Squeaks seemed to be riddled with heel and hand holes in the first week. not fun.

Teach her to do those poo routines on her dad. i sent SFf to do a poo nappy in supermarket other day. He came back with a half naked baby, both of them covered in piss. How i laughed.

fanny, i've just realised i don't have a swimsuit that fits. Must address that situaton. Though board shorts deffo more appealing to me.

Sorry for all the sickiness. Squeaks still under weather, but has also learned to do fake coughs. Minx.

SilverSky · 04/03/2011 13:42

muse

fp ditto here, HI suggested Mother visiting couple of days a month to help. She said "I'll come for a week". I thought "so help me God" and so far it's been fine. So far.

Any tips wrt MBs dry thumb? Why's it dry? Cos he sucks it! Could I put Lasinoh nipple stuff on it? It's ok for baybees to be bf'ed with it on so what's the difference?

SilverSky · 04/03/2011 14:39

muse forgot to say when MB had his breathing (or lack of) episode at two weeks old I had similar ishoo with collecting urine sample. Took three attempts and everything getting covered. In the end he was starkers. Then the canula! Horrible!!

caspy about time the menfolk got peed on!!!

AlpinePony · 04/03/2011 17:03

After Bear did a Linda Blair in my office narrowly missing my laptop I relented and booked an emergency doc appt. Doc thinks is "virus" ans has prescribed anti-biotics and suppository paracetamol. There are no words to describe the fury I felt towards jb having fed baby a HUGE bottle when I said small and regular only and then for him bringing him in to my office. He's working a night shift tonight. Tosser.

Medee · 04/03/2011 17:48

what a nightmare, Muse!

SilverSky · 04/03/2011 17:50

alps revenge tmw is in order.

MB also been off colour. Very teary. Lotsof screaming. Bit hot. Dose of calpol and a poo and normal service has resumed. Wonder if due to recent vaccs?

Cosmosis · 04/03/2011 18:22

I am off on a hendo tomorrow. AIBU to wish that, if I am having to spend and entire day and evening without Artie, I'd rather use it with some lovely sleep Grin

He's 6 months tomorrow, how did that happen Shock

Cosmosis · 04/03/2011 18:23

silv could be vacs fo sho, they definitely mess with their minds. OTOH there are bugs aplenty going round it seems.

CurlyCasper · 04/03/2011 18:37

mine's got a bug that involves body snatching. little miss independent has been inhabited by velcro baby. Very strange.

Hasn't stopped her starting to get bum in the air properly for crawling. Nearly there

got bored of the whining and just went off and had a deep bath with her. She loved kicking like mad while lying on my belly. Was fun, and hopefully exhausting.

CurlyCasper · 04/03/2011 18:37

silv sometimes a good poo makes us all feel happier!

PerfectDromedary · 04/03/2011 22:06

Oh, Muse. Poonami story am hilarious though.

Sorry for all those with poorly babies - is horrid. Berwhale is mostly a laid back, chilled out little lamb, until we have the feeding struggle. I'm now topping up with formula and using bottles but expressing breast milk and working on his latch: so far, it's an ok compromise. And we'll see how it all goes.

OkieCokie · 04/03/2011 22:20

Muse you have made me laugh at your misfortune. You will get used to being covered in piss, shit and vom!

drom if latch is really bad have they check for tongue tie? There have been cases around these parts where it has not been detected for weeks and clearly affected latch.

I am flying solo again tomorrow with the 2 kids and husband having a "day off". Would love to do a FP and check myself into rehab five star hotel.

What is the plan for Alpy's visit?

Muser · 04/03/2011 22:37

I have had wine and curry and chocolate so all is good now. And American Idol is on until 12.30am so this cluster feeding session is just dandy.

Drom I'm glad you've got something working for you. Hope you get it all sorted in a way that makes you happy, whatever that is.

AlpinePony · 05/03/2011 06:55

hokiecokie I'm driving down from Wales on the Weds morning and will be over-nighting in Welling (and know my way up to and around New Cross-ish) which I hope will make it easy for visiting the sarf-lahndahn posse. I take it you're not in the congestion zone? That shit's all greek to me. :( When visiting I used to park at Putney by the river and drive on the tube... I'd probably have to park in Weybridge these days.

drom Very glad to hear things are all happy in your household.

I managed to get another 2.5 tiny bottles down Bear last night and one at midnight and another at 5am - he has produced another enormopoo up his back and covering his triceps! Shock :( But right now is in his walker handling the controls with manly enthusiasm. i.e., whacking the fucking out of them and squealing. n.b., JB doesn't squeal at the wheel - that's more of a passenger seat activity! Wink

I was so stressed last night I ate a hazelnut chocolate bar approximately the size of my sofa. Emotional eating anyone? Blush Nuts is helfy and everyfink tho right?

CUNextTuesday · 05/03/2011 07:43

Park in putney and we'll go out in putney! I live near there . No C charge :-) Not next wednesday though right? I've forgotten what days you said

OP posts:
AlpinePony · 05/03/2011 08:00

Weds 30th I think it is. I'm pretty open to suggestion as long as it's south of the river and preferably with parking. I'd rather not try and get a buggy on the 5:30 from London Bridge. :( I know your end of the woods cunty as I lived there for a while. (Yes, I've lived everywhere, got around etc., etc.)

CUNextTuesday · 05/03/2011 08:11

Do you want to come to mine? Loads of parking.

OP posts:
AlpinePony · 05/03/2011 08:12

Would be easiest for me, because then can jump on south circular or M25.

CUNextTuesday · 05/03/2011 08:14

M25 then M3 or A3 is easiest

OP posts:
CUNextTuesday · 05/03/2011 08:16

All back to mine then. Posse, are we all cool?

OP posts:
AlpinePony · 05/03/2011 08:49

I really don't mind, but if it's possible I would prefer it at someone's house. It's going to take me approx. 4-5 hours to drive down to London and I'd prefer to veg out in someone's house rather than have to sit up straight in a cafe.

CurlyCasper · 05/03/2011 10:06

wales you say? Are you likely to need a cuppa anywhere near me? Maybe easier to fb.

OkieCokie · 05/03/2011 12:32

Sounds like a grand plan. ALthough somewhere in my head I had an evening soiree but daytime gin drinking is also fine.

SilverSky · 05/03/2011 14:50

Is it me hormones but does anyone else get a lump in their throat when they hear about the Soldier and his dog dying and being flown home together? Blimming gets me everytime.

MB refusing to nap in cot. Fuck-a-Rama.
