As so many of us are not coming and I am a bit of a control freak and getting a bit anxious that we have no definite plans I thought I'd start a separate thread to discuss the meet up!!

mapletrees if we are catching the train together I'd like to book a ticket asap.

What time are we thinking of meeting? How long/which bus etc will we need to get to the pub?

Woo hoo! I'm on my way to the train station now so looks like we will have a full quota on the meetup front!

Just sitting down with a choc hobnob and a Brew. Baby in bed, stuff put away and got to give ds1 a kiss goodnight Grin. Thank you ladies for a lovely day, was great to meet you all. Thank you especially to saoirse86 for hosting us and mapletrees for your lovely company for the journey!

Was really great to meet you all today. Was nice to put faces to the names and meet your lovelly LOs. They were all on good form. Smile

Good to know you got home alright cinnamon. Thanks for driving today - it made everything easy and stress-free for me Grin.

Thanks again saoirse for organising things. I think the pub worked really well as a venue and the food was just right..

Took a while to get Louis to bed after we got home, but he seems to be settling now. Think I've worked out one of the things keeping him up - he graced us with his first ever solid poo (must have been all that parsnip and fig I was shovelling into him) Grin. I was making some food a little while ago, and all I could hear from the other room was Louis giggling and "dadda missed you this evening, yes he did, he missed you". Aww

JodeyBogeyPicker · 24/02/2011 22:02

Bless Mappletrees, very cute.

JessemyParkson · 24/02/2011 22:53

Yet another big thanks from me, Mary and DS. (A big smacker goes to DS too for being so well behaved too :o )

It was lovely meeting you all, and the drive home was, well, nearly as noisy as the drive up! lol

I hope frigg made it home safely - what chats we managed were thoroughly enjoyed!

DH scooped Mary up as soon as I got home, but she was quite hungry, and tired, so was not in the mood for Daddy's catchphrase of "She's not naughty, she's a Mary" (don't ask!)

My turn to hit the sack! Night all x

JessemyParkson · 24/02/2011 22:55

Aha! There you are frigg

Glad to see you're home safe :o

Was that Ergo the sling which comix was showing you?

FriggFRIGG · 24/02/2011 23:25

yes it was,it's amazing ....my finger is hoovering over the 'buy it now' button

your DS is absolutely lovely BTW Grin

mapletrees · 25/02/2011 09:20

I meant to say jessie, you DS was a star all day Smile

frigg I'll race you to the ebay ergos Grin

JessemyParkson · 25/02/2011 09:55

Aw thank you everybody :)

comixminx · 25/02/2011 10:10

Thudding or fourthing the praise for your DS, park!

I was going to link to the eBay shop where I bought the ergo from, but they don't seem to have it in stock any more - then again there are loads of other people selling them for ok prices. Good luck with them, folks! As I said I've been really pleased with it. DP had a little more trouble with it - needed a lot more adjustment to the shoulder straps before it was comfortable for him. Works well for him top now, though.

saoirse86 · 25/02/2011 11:07

I have just been looking at ergos too Blush comix if you ever need another job, I'm sure ergobaby will have you as a rep! Grin

I'm glad you got home eventually jessemy and frigg ! If you PM me your address I can arrange to post the rocker. I think I have a box it will fit into.

If we were to do this again and the northerners couldn't make it again, maybe we should do it further south so it's more central for those who could make it.

FriggFRIGG · 25/02/2011 12:09

yes i was thinking of a more southern meet,so that maybe mammyg and mellymooks could come,as theyre more south...

and i have WON the race to the ergos!

mwhahahahahahahah!!
picked up a 2nd hand one from ebayGrin

be carefull though as there are some fakes flying about on ebay, and ive no idea how tio tell! but they're made in china and are'nt safe, best to buy 2nd hand from a 'person' rather than a shop,or brand new direct from an approved shop IMO!Grin

saoirse86 · 25/02/2011 12:39

Thanks for the tip on the ergos frigg !

mammG is in ireland so I think anywhere would be difficult for her, unless of course we all descended on her for a couple of days. How do you think she'd feel about 10 mums and babies in her spare room? Hmm

cinnamongreyhound · 25/02/2011 13:34

Agree about your ds JessemyParkson, he was so good and lovely with Mary. Not to mention the most gorgeous eyes I think I ever seen on a little boy! Ds1 had missed me and apparently said 'it's Mummy' every time the door bell rang.

So cute Mapletrees :)

JessemyParkson · 25/02/2011 17:10

Oh saoirse that'd be fantastic if you could. I could send you some money towards the postage too x

All this praise for DS is making me Blush :) And I totally agree cinnamon, he does have lovely eyes! They're the same shape & colour as mine, and as for the lashes, that's the Italian heritage from my mother (her father was Italian). Both of my brothers and now DS have the most stunning, thick and long eyelashes. Mine are long, but not thick, so I need mascara (when I can be bothered!). If I could swap eyelashes with any of my boys I would!

If we wanted to meet again, I would gladly host next time Wink

JessemyParkson · 25/02/2011 17:12

PS Mary is smitten with DS - he's making her laugh right now, but driving me up the wall during the process. It's worth it though for those giggles :o
