As so many of us are not coming and I am a bit of a control freak and getting a bit anxious that we have no definite plans I thought I'd start a separate thread to discuss the meet up!!

mapletrees if we are catching the train together I'd like to book a ticket asap.

What time are we thinking of meeting? How long/which bus etc will we need to get to the pub?

yeahy! im soooo exited now!!!!

just let me know when we think we'll be leaving, and i'll book the tickets! Grin

JessemyParkson · 15/02/2011 10:47

Er! What time do you think?!

How long do we have the pub till?

cinnamongreyhound · 15/02/2011 12:16

Think it opens to the public at 5.30 but not 100% sure!

OP posts:
FriggFRIGG · 15/02/2011 12:17

okay then are we thinkingroughly 12 till about 5:30?!

cinnamongreyhound · 15/02/2011 13:09

I don't know though if that means we have to leave then or not. I was thinking about leaving around 5 then as I will have about 2hrs to get Mapletrees home and then another 45mins-1hr after that (assuming no traffic) but I haven't discussed it with Mapletrees yet and as she is depending on me I don't want to assume! Perhaps wait for Saoirse86 and she can tell you what the deal is with the pub.

mapletrees is just very grateful for the lift, and happy to leave whenever Grin. The only thing with leaving at 5 is will we get stuck in horrendous rush-hour traffic leaving Brum? Maybe saoirse or jody can advise?

comixminx · 15/02/2011 13:49

I was thinking of leaving a little bit before 5 cos there's a good off-peak train back to Oxford at about four thirty.

JessemyParkson · 15/02/2011 14:10

good point re traffic.

Frigg Would you be happy leaving about 4.30?

FriggFRIGG · 15/02/2011 15:37

Yes that would be fine by me,i am also just grateful for the lift!Grin
so what time do you think we'd be back in swindon?
should i risk the
17:59 train or get the 18:59 and wait around a bit? Confused

JessemyParkson · 15/02/2011 15:46

I'd get the later train - 17.59 you'll get all the yuppies commuting folk going home at the w/end Wink

We can always park up and wander for a coffee or something if we're that early :)

JessemyParkson · 15/02/2011 15:52

Quick question, are you bringing your other LO?

I was planning on bringing DS, he can squash in between the babies, but if you want to bring your DC1, then I'll kick him off to my brother's for the day :o

FriggFRIGG · 15/02/2011 15:57

no DD's at grandpa's for the day Grin!!!

so it's just me and Arlo!

im soo excited!!!

FriggFRIGG · 15/02/2011 15:58

errr,it is the 24th of this month right?!

JessemyParkson · 15/02/2011 16:23

cinnamongreyhound · 15/02/2011 16:31

It's next Thursday! So we're going for arriving at 12ish and leaving at 4.30 then?

OP posts:
FriggFRIGG · 15/02/2011 17:01

im all booked!!Grin

JessemyParkson · 15/02/2011 17:19

Yay!

JodeyBogeyPicker · 15/02/2011 19:24

Woop woop!!! 12-4:30 great with me and yes, traffic can be very shitty getting out of town from about 4:30/5 ish.

cinnamongreyhound · 15/02/2011 19:35

Is everyone else leaving their older dc at home? Dh is off work so can leave ds1 at home but he is a mummys boy and will want to come with me. I'll say no he has to stay with daddy if he's going to be the only older one a he'll be bored!

OP posts:
saoirse86 · 15/02/2011 20:04

I was going to say that the pub opens at 5 but as it's thursday there'll approximately 8 customers all night and we certainly wouldn't need to leave early, but looks like that's sorted.

I have no older DC to bring but if jessemy is bringing hers then he won't be alone. We can get the giant jenga out and let them hurt themselves play with it! Grin Or we could play with it! Grin Grin

saoirse86 · 15/02/2011 20:05

That last bit was to cinnamon btw, or to anyone else who has another DC!

JessemyParkson · 15/02/2011 22:29

Yep, DS is coming whether he likes it or not. He's usually up for anything though, so should be good fun!

cinnamon how old is your eldest? DS is 7 :)

FriggFRIGG · 15/02/2011 22:42

JessemyParkson · 15/02/2011 22:58
