As so many of us are not coming and I am a bit of a control freak and getting a bit anxious that we have no definite plans I thought I'd start a separate thread to discuss the meet up!!

mapletrees if we are catching the train together I'd like to book a ticket asap.

What time are we thinking of meeting? How long/which bus etc will we need to get to the pub?

it was just one part of the last episode...T'was ^brilliant....Grin GrinGrin

He'll be 4 in April but he plays happily with my minded children who are 6, 7 and 8. Will see on the day I think as he's just started to understand time and constantly asks how far away things are/ how long it will take!

Aw bless! DS kind-of knows time, but can't quite relate that to distance/travel time lol

cinnamongreyhound · 17/02/2011 09:24

What did you want to do about a car seat mapletrees? I have two car seats that can turn to be rear facing (one for Luke and one for minded children) but they are permenantly in the car. You are welcome to use it but I know a lot of people like to use the car seats as they can carry their babies into places and just set them down still inside. Will need to take one of my seats out if you want to bring your own so let me know. Will pm you in a couple of days if you don't spot this.

Have spotted you cinnamon.. I'm not too bothered - it would be nice to be able to take in his car seat, but it depends on how much of a hassle it is for you to take one of yours out and put it back in again after. I can always bring his little chair (that folds down flat) so he can have somewhere to sit that's not on me for a bit..

Also everyone, I was thinking it might be nice for those of us coming in cars to bring some blankets so the LOs can have somewhere to roll around on..

cinnamongreyhound · 17/02/2011 11:04

No hassle at all just wanted to be prepared! Will take mine out. Was planning to bring Luke's bouncy chair but am happy to bring a blanket.

maple I'd thought I'd bring a couple of things as I've got plenty of room in the car.

comixminx · 17/02/2011 16:23

I'm going to bring my old lady shopping trolley Grin so I can bring something too.

FriggFRIGG · 17/02/2011 18:37

i was thinking of bringing a bouncy chair/bumbo/playmat...but if someone who isnt going on the train is bringing an extra/doesnt mind Arlo having a sit for a bit, then i wont bother

let me know!Grin

1 WEEK TODAY!!!

mapletrees · 17/02/2011 19:22

Frigg I'll bring Louis' bouncy chair and a mat and Arlo is welcome to share both Grin

FriggFRIGG · 17/02/2011 19:39

THANKYOU! Grin

JessemyParkson · 18/02/2011 09:12

Yep, I've got a couple of crawl-rugs and bouncy chairs too :)

JodeyBogeyPicker · 18/02/2011 12:43

I'll bring Harlyns playmat and an extra blanket as well as his bouncer. I'll also bring his bumbo for anyone to use as he doesn't like being in it. Less than a week to go now x

saoirse86 · 18/02/2011 12:52

I was thinking of bringing Orlaith's walker but there's sloped paving in the garden. It depends whether I feel like a trip to A&E! Hmm

Maybe just a playmat, blanket and bumbo for me too then! Arlo can sit in Orlaith's things too but only if he doesn't a bit of dribble being on them already! Grin

JessemyParkson · 18/02/2011 12:57

Ooh goody, bumbos!

I was sneakily hoping there might be one or two there, as I'd like to try Mary in one, if that's ok?

FriggFRIGG · 18/02/2011 13:14

ohh goddy Arlo will have plent of places to slump sit.Grin
thanks everyone!

im very excited!!! hehe!

saoirse86 · 18/02/2011 13:31

Of course jessemy there's no poiny in spending all that money on one in case she doesn't like it.

saoirse86 · 18/02/2011 13:35

*point

JessemyParkson · 18/02/2011 14:01

thanks saoirse :)

saoirse86 · 20/02/2011 14:03

I was thinking, shall we just check we all know eachother's names so we save having that conversation on thursday?

I think it's:
saoirse Saoirse and Orlaith (pronounced sersha and orla)
Jodey Jodey and Harlyn
cinnamon Claire, James and baby Luke
frigg Louise and Arlo
jessemy Jessie and Mary (what your other DC's name?)
comix Jenni and Aphra
maple Louis and I feel like your name's Jane. Is that right? Where did I get that from? Hmm
And my sister is Aswalia and her DD is Imara

Have I got that all right?

What's your friend's name jodey ?

comixminx · 20/02/2011 17:33

You've got me right, Saoirse - and thanks for the reminder on the pronounciation too, cos that discussion was a while ago now! Good idea to refresh our minds on names generally.

How about appearances, not that it will be like spotting each other across a crowded train station or anything? I've got shoulder-length mid-brown hair, and am fairly short (5' 2"); will be wearing trousers & boots rather than anything more girly! And my old lady shopping trolley will give me away Grin.

saoirse86 · 20/02/2011 21:02

I have longish very dark hair but it's always tied up away from grabby hands! And I'm 5'3" if I stand up very tall! Grin

My looky likey will give me away.

mapletrees · 20/02/2011 21:06

Yep, you're right with me too - you prob got it from the calender thing. You'll know me as I'll be with the cutest baby in the world (well I would say that wouldn't I?) Wink

cinnamongreyhound · 20/02/2011 21:08

Think I will leave James at home as dss is here and he will have more fun with him and daddy at home than with me, plus it will be easier for me to chat. Funny that you put baby before Luke and no other baby, that what he's called all the time hope it wears off soon Wink

I have the worst haircut of my life, bloody hairdresser Angry am 5'5" sounds like I might be tall for once in my life! I never weear dresses or shirts so will be definately be trousers and boots for me too and I will be in a red picasso (typical childminders car!).

OP posts:
mapletrees · 20/02/2011 21:09

Wow, for possibly the first time ever my 5'4" might make me tall...
