Yay, although I feel sorry for the others having to listen to me moan for a few months!

Question, others that have had more than one pregnancy, is it normal to put on weight more with this one? I have definitely put on my tummy already and it's only a month. hmm maybe I have just eaten too much.

BoffinMum · 02/02/2011 21:12

Yes BB, I got fatter quicker with each one and also put on weight more dramatically too.

BabyBolat · 02/02/2011 21:15

Oh christ, so that pizza I had for dinner is literally coming back to bite me on the bum. Bugger.

BabyBolat · 02/02/2011 21:29

I just sneaked a peak at my antenatal thread - I just couldn't bring myself to type a word, so I am staying put on here. Grin.

AuldAlliance · 02/02/2011 21:30

OOOOOOOHHHHHHH!!! YEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSS!!

Excellent news all round.

Too pissed tired to post much, but am pleased for all and sundry.

For light relief, I am off to post a pic on profile of A in pan on cooker. I know it's months late, and not on FB, but what the hell.

Ah Auld, he's so cute and DS1 is also super cute.

AuldAlliance · 02/02/2011 21:36

Thanks, BB. Have now posted shameful pic of child being boiled.

FWIW: conversation on way to school with DS1 yesterday...

DS1: If my teacher was absent, and we had to go into anothe teacher's class, I'd like to go into X teacher's class.

Me: Oh, why?

DS1: because Morgane is in his class.

Me: Oh, I thought you didn't like her much.

DS1: Well, I do and I don't.

Me: hmmm....

DS1: I like her cos she's fun. I don't like her because in the playground, she sticks her finger in her bum and then tells everyone it stinks.

Me: Shock Hmm Confused That's not a very nice thing to do.

DS1: No, and do you know what? I didn't want to smell it, but she made me. And it did stink.

BB Grin yaaaaaaaaaaaay!

And hurrah to being able to ignore scary antenatal threads - I haven't bothered with the July one.

I'm definitely bigger more quickly this time around. And felt the baby move much earlier at 13 (!!!) weeks - and DH felt the baby move this week at 16 weeks Shock which is a bit scary - it is a right little feisty kickboxer. I'm sure it's another boy Grin

PuzzleRocks · 02/02/2011 22:03

Auld that made me roar with laughter and gag a little bit too.

I just got confused because I was sure I posted in excitement about Bebe's news but it appears it was on the other thread which I didn't know of. How did I manage that?

BB congratulations my love. Fabulous news. I am raising a glass right now. And feeling a bit jealous because I'm not on the list. Don't want another baby but I like being on lists. Harrumph!

AuldAlliance · 02/02/2011 22:18

I had to translate it, the poor lad said the key bits in French, as he wouldn't know how to say 'bum" and "stinks" in English. One of the weird things about his bilngualism is that I am almost his only model, and since I don't say things like that to him, his English is terribly adult. Grin

Since he told me, I have passed Morgane's mother in the street twice and grinned involuntarily and gleefully.

Ooh the kicking and moving is something to look forward too, right now I am just full and farty! Shock

Auld, that's both hilarious and disgusting! Love it.

Puzz, you don't need to be on the list as you are THE MASTER OF THE LIST. That is much better than being on it! Wink

And I am mostly jealous of the glass raising. I was 99% sure I was pregnant a couple of weeks ago so I gobbled up a goats cheese pizza and a glass of wine before it became official! Grin

Bicnod, (and others) is O acting differently than before? I swear K has some sort of sixth sense and wont leave me alone and is obsessed with my tummy (although that may well be down to its rapidly expanding state!)

I daren't tell him yet. We told him about my sisters baby in her belly last year (she's due in April) and everywhere we go he lifts up her clothes and shouts BABY really loud, although this is causing a slight problem as visiting a friend over new year who has put on a bit of weight, K declared publicly 'BABY' whilst pointing at her tummy! Whoops!

DH is convinced it is a boy (although how he thinks he knows, I have no idea!). I really don't care. I thought I would want a girl because I already have K but I have no preference either way. The good thing is that after the debacle of names last time, we have at least already agreed on top three names for each so I have no worry with. And there will be no bathrooms to rip out this time as they will only be fitted in a few weeks and DH may kill me!! Grin

I am much more nervous with this one than K - probably because K wasn't planned Blush and it's all happened so quickly since we discussed the possibility of trying at Christmas! I am especially nervous about the flight tomorrow. Fingers crossed my little bean is comfy in there!

Double yays

very pleased for you Bebe
and congratulations BB

I too am standing down. I must have done my bit for the population (incrdibly broody though, keep crying at babieS)

bebemoohatessnot · 03/02/2011 04:19

Thank you for all your enthusiasm. I am in denial, or apathetic as I have lost all confidence in the pregnancy. Literally my jaw dropped when I saw the little one moving around on it's own accord and started shaking my head. Dh said, it is there. That is you. It's not some video. To which the doctor gave him a frowny stern look.
I am not comfortable. I have cramps and very sharp localised pain again. When I mentioned it to the doctor he shrugged...All I can say is the baby is doing fine now. In 2 days who knows.
However I'm cutting out all dairy (as since I'm lactose intolerant and I've been having the odd bowl of cereal and cheese I'm wondering if that is causing problems) and trying to think what else might be causing my discomfort (like the very hard bed and crappy pillows) Perhaps if I can figure it out I shall regain my confidence in the pregnancy.

gingersarah · 03/02/2011 08:23

Bebe, so pleased your baby is still wriggling. I hope you feel better soon. Travelling with a toddler is hard. I hope you settle in well.

Congatulations BB!

Thanks, Zulu.

BB, yes I gained weight instantly, partly because the way my body responded to the sickness was ravening greed. With dd, I was getting away with no one knowing well into November. This time I started carrying big files around in front of me at work in early August. At the moment I am the size of a house.

Auld, lovely photo.

Did we get any further on the meet up question?

bronze · 03/02/2011 08:40

You should all come and stay with me for a weekend. In fact hold onto tha one untilt he summer cos then we have loads of outside space too

PuzzleRocks · 03/02/2011 08:53

Bebe darling that makes total sense to me. I don't think anyone would expect you to go through that then suddenly be fine and joyous. I just hope these next few weeks fly by for you until you are at a stage where you can relax a little.

PuzzleRocks · 03/02/2011 08:56

Crikey Bronze, how big is your place?

bebemoohatessnot · 03/02/2011 14:27

So today I walked to the big store and bought some much needed groceries (tho far fewer than I wanted) I go lost on the way back in this convoluted neighborhood of apartments which all look vaguely the same and with the snow it makes it even more samey...I had to completely retrace my steps to get home by which time I had over done it a bit.
But after sitting on my butt for ages watching Shawn the Sheep and cartoons in German (talk abt mind boggling) I managed to start the dishwasher. And then managed to figure out the washing machine... the washing machine was so disgusting, the tray was moldy, mildewy and had caked on soap Mold and mildew in a washing machine is one of my BIGGEST pet peeves because then the clothes end up smelling of it. I swore outloud and cursed a right old storm until I turned around and saw Meg. Blush FOCK! FOCK Hell Stpood peeple No Clean! she said Blush My little recorder! Blush

bronze · 03/02/2011 14:30

Well you wouldn't get a proper bed each but with some juggling and some inflatable beds we could get you all in

Grin soon she'll be telling you off for swearing

bebemoohatessnot · 03/02/2011 14:40

I don't usually use such language! I was just so upset that someone left it like that. She probably will tell me off for swearing...she tells me of for dipping my cookies in my milk Wink NO NO NO fingies in joos!

BoffinMum · 03/02/2011 15:40

This will sort it, or failing that a 95 degree wash with biological soap powder and nothing in the drum, also scrub out the drawer and area around it with kitchen cleaner and hot water as well.

But you probably know this already.

bebemoohatessnot · 03/02/2011 15:54

Yeah I gave it a good scrubbing and a soak in boiling water. Then a clean run without clothes. Now it's gone through with clothes and they're not smelly (well not in a bad way) tho the perfume from the soap makes my nose tickle.
