Thanks everyone and Boff, that's number two (sorry mu referencing was rubbis) baby one is face on, baby two on the top in profile.

Baby two (the little begger) wouldn't stay still for them to get a picture and had what looked like a proper grin on it's face. The other little one was fast asleep calm as you like - I wonder if this is a sign of their contrasting personalities!!!

Right real world this morning, back to London, big launch event and the House of Commons so have to be on my game and not stressing about how I am going to cope / afford / work with three children...

Thanks again xxx

BabyBolat · 30/03/2011 06:46

referencing is rubbish - as is my spelling this morning!

BabyBolat · 30/03/2011 07:15

And I also mean baby one is a begger - this can't be baby brain already can it???

WildRumpus · 30/03/2011 07:38

I'm sure you will take it all in your stride! I've just noticed exciting new icons. Bit early for Wine but mmmmm Brew lovely cuppa. How sweet of MN towers to provide refreshments while we natter.

PuzzleRocks · 30/03/2011 08:48

Is is just me or did anyone else think that was a cannabis leaf on the mug?
[misspent youth]

bebemooneedsabreak · 30/03/2011 12:52

Puzz, you druggy Wink

WildRumpus · 30/03/2011 12:54

That was my first thought too Blush.

Hope you survived the morning ok? You probably need some of that MN 'special' tea to recover. Or a few Wine Wine Wine. I owe you.

PuzzleRocks · 30/03/2011 14:01

Not at all, she was great. I am very jealous at how well she eats, it takes E forever and a day to finish her lunch. Very frustrating.

I thought they were going to be darting about the whole time but they discovered the dress up box and spent ages trying on pink plastic shoes and jewels. I got a couple of pics.

Holly is delighted with her new clothes. Ellen already has a pair of Charlie & Lola pj's she covets so she got very excited when she spotted those. Thank you.

BoffinMum · 30/03/2011 22:52

Wonder how BB is doing today??

BabyBolat · 31/03/2011 09:41

I thought it was too Puzz(!) Grin

I am good today, we had a big launch at the commons last night which was bloody fantastic, the client is happy (although that is unlikely to last too long such is their way), I think I have told pretty much everyone and work all know now so I am feeling like it is more real and getting used to the idea!

Hope everyone is ok today Smile

BoffinMum · 31/03/2011 10:14

That is a big relief. I am glad your launch went so well, and that colleagues know and will be able to ply you with hot chocolate and mop your fevered brow at appropriate moments (hopefully!)

PuzzleRocks · 31/03/2011 11:12

I have c&p'd this from [whispers] netmums...

  1. Knowing that you are only going to have to go through the birth process once to end up with two children.
  1. Enjoying the fun of choosing two baby names that fit together perfectly.
  1. Being able to hold one baby in each arm and feeling a huge rush of love and pride.
  1. Watching your babies sleeping peacefully side by side.
  1. Having to establish only one routine.
  1. Getting all the sleepless nights over and done with in one go.
  1. Watching them carve out their own identities as they grow.
  1. Knowing that they are going to have a best friend in each other for life.
  1. Enjoying the attention that twins inevitably attract.
  1. Feeling confident that they can help each other on their first day of school.

  2. Discovering all their amazing little differences.

  3. Watching them create their own secret language and games.

  4. Knowing that they will never be lonely.

  5. Loving the fact that they are constant playmates and can entertain each other.

  6. Feeling special because you've joined the exclusive club of twin mums.

  7. Only having to buy one of every must-have toy and not having to give baby number two (by a few minutes!) hand-me-downs.

  8. Only having to bake one birthday cake and throw one party a year.

  9. Seeing them learning and encouraging each other to reach their milestones.

  10. Watching them taking care of each other when one is upset or hurt.

  11. Knowing that their shared history means they have one of life's most unbreakable bonds.

WhatFreshHellIsThis · 31/03/2011 11:25

Yay for launch and yay for people knowing! Hope you can relax a little bit now - well, as relaxed as anyone how has just found out they're expecting twins can!

Just taken Orbit swimming. It's been so long since we last went he was completely freaked out and clung to me like a little monkey. He liked it in the end though. Can't believe my baby is two now, it seems like yesterday I was waiting for him to arrive!

So - baby number three, or not? Grin

BabyBolat · 31/03/2011 12:18

God puzz, I just started crying at my desk!!

Ah WFH - yes baby number 3! Come on, if I am having three kids someone has to join me!! It's so scary that they are two. Karahan will be two on MONDAY! not possible! He did a wee wee in the potty for the first time yesterday and I was so sad that he was even thinking about growing up!

I also took swimming on Sunday and he loved it, although kept trying to get me to let him swim on his own with the pushing and 'get off mummy' look 'I can do it by myself' and then proceeding to wade for a few seconds before dipping in! Grin

bronze · 31/03/2011 13:18

Boff and I have 4 each. I tried to do twins but failed.
So it's up to you to takle up Kazs mantle

Bicnod · 31/03/2011 13:23

Just got sent over here by Puzzle (thanks Puzz) - sorry for being AWOL for so long...

... OMIGOD!!! Congratulations BB that is AMAZING news Grin

Right - going to read back over the thread a bit.

And WFH - yy to baby number 3 - we need more people on the list Wink

bronze · 31/03/2011 13:26

I love that clip. I think I've watched it 3 times.

WildRumpus · 31/03/2011 13:29

Oh Puzzle - now I want twins! Thanks very much! Had pretty much decided that I should not have any more babies and then you post that. You and the nice old woman in the supermarket yesterday who told me about her 5 kids and said I should have some more. BB you are going to have to block
me from looking at your scan pic. It's giving my ovaries mad ideas.

Bicnod · 31/03/2011 13:36

Puzzle - yes to cannabis leaf, I thought that as soon as I saw it

BB - just realised you had pics on your profile, they are amazing. I've never seen twin scan pics before. Felt all teary looking at them (hormonal? me?)

Bebe - sorry you're having a hard time at the moment :( hard enough being up duffed without being in unfamiliar surroundings.

Zulu how's your bump? I'm 25 weeks today - how is that even possible? Mine is an active little mite - I was watching it do the tango across my belly on my way into work yesterday. I think it has changed position so fingers crossed is now head down.

Boff - if you managed to find an ultimatum that got you a genuine 50% split on the housework please do share Grin

Sorry for being away for so long - it was a bit like the old days, I was away for a while then didn't have time to catch up so thought I'd better not just post and run, then got even further behind and then actually lost the thread. Will try and be a bit more useful these days. I'm not even on the July antenatal thread so have no excuse.

Very tired. They are restructuring my team at work again which meant that yesterday I had to do a completely pointless 2 hour interview for my own job. Which I will only be doing for the next 11 weeks anyway as I'm going on maternity leave. And for which I got a glowing appraisal only a month ago. I didn't realise quite how stressful the process had been until it was over - I now feel like a lead weight has been lifted from my shoulders. The bastards still haven't told me the outcome of the interview. Grrr.

Anyhoo - sorry for the moany me post. Very excited about your news BB - that is an adventure and a half Grin

Are we all going to try and meet up around April time again? Maybe a picnic in Richmond park again if the weather allows it? Would love to see how all our babies have grown.

PuzzleRocks · 31/03/2011 13:51

We should definitely do the park. Perhaps June so maybe Vezzie will come with a teeny baby?

bronze · 31/03/2011 13:58

I might try and come this time. Need to be able to afford the fare.

Dh will say I'm nuts paying all that money to go to a park Grin

WildRumpus · 31/03/2011 14:22

Anyone heard if Vezzie has had the baby yet? Park is good for me anytime. Schulte was suggesting it too.

BabyBolat · 31/03/2011 14:23

Question (non twin related), how are everyones LO's getting on with speech, K is gabbling and saying words but not really any sentences or anything, is that normal?

Park is good for me x

bronze · 31/03/2011 15:06

Same here. Not like Bebes bebe who will be orating soon. Izne said Daddy gone neenawneenaw bye bye the other day which was the closest hes come to a sentence. (DH flashed his lights, he wasn't arrested)
I am pleased though because without prompting he says thank you (dan do) and sorry (dorry) so hes overtaken my other children already
