lol at Moo orating soon...I was just thinking I could/should get her a muzzle to stop the whining and so I'm not being told off ever minute...
It's quite normal for 2yo to be mostly words with a few phrases...
my mum (teacher, specialising in child development) said typically it was 'favorite words' they use with a smattering of others thrown in now and again. She was impressed at Meg's speech (when I asked worriedly about the repetition thing with sounds and phrases) BUT She reminded me that we were all rather early talkers, and said that the first grandkids were especially, so we're just on par with what's typical for our family.
there are definitely things which I notice she's not good at...
shapes in the shape sorter
crap at puzzles,
(tho I think those are patience issues)
she's not much of a climber
(or do many 'physical' things -but that being said she's very careful abt what she does do and hardly ever falls)
and she's only fairly recently started building 'towers' and knocking them over again,
she doesn't put on or take off clothes,
and she's just started running, tho it's toddler running
