Flip - I am super impressed with solo parenting at 3 weeks! Felt ridiculously proud of myself for doing bedtime with both of them on my own last week for the first time at four months!!Glad all is going well.
Ses - everything crossed for you lovely lady.
And Belg - also hope things work out for you soon. Your work situation sounds like a nightmare. Do you have a union? A 3-4 hour commute sounds ridiculous and you might have some kind of grounds for at least making complaints.
Smokey - crawling...
good luck with work.
Reebee - hello! Strength and positivity coming your way (but no sympathy)
Hello to everyone else, stamped, mitford, Yankee, etc.
Terrible 2's here too, v v demanding and argumentative! Yesterdays favourite was DD wailing 'I am not alive' at the top of her voice at DH not sure what conversation sparked that gem but it was v v funny. We have only had to use timeout a couple of times (hitting baby brother with a toy rolling pin?!) as distraction seems to be working but not always. Our main flash points seem to be when she is hungry/ thirsty or tired so am trying to catch her before any of those things happen which seems to help.
Having mixed results with ptty training. Some days are brilliant but others are rubbish. Wee's are generally ok but she is struggling with pooing on the potty or toilet.
DS is fab, gurgling, rolling and inching around on his tummy. Not sleeping much at night but mainly because he is so distracted so doesn't feed much in the day but we have managed to exclusively bf this time which I am v proud of and will continue as long as I poss can (although going back to work in jan may affect this).
Right, DS now awake, there goes my quiet time! See you all soon, mwah!
