2010 - the best year of my life, for half of it I was pregnant and for the other half had my baybee. Grin

I have just made myself lafff. I thought for a minute a UTI was a form of contraception/coil esp with your 2nd post... just worked it out

OkieCokie · 25/01/2011 21:29

Big Fat Gypsy Wedding on Ch4. Quality

FannyPriceless · 25/01/2011 21:35

MrP made me flick over to the Arsenal game in the ads and strangely we haven't yet switched back.Hmm

FannyPriceless · 25/01/2011 21:39

We got the house, by the way.Smile Things are much calmer now. Moving day next Tuesday.

OkieCokie · 25/01/2011 21:41

Phew FP. Great news.

rollerbaby · 25/01/2011 21:42

BFGW priceless. What a bunch of chavs.

Sadly UTI not contraception related... Have drunk about 2 litres in 15 minutes so hopefully emergency diverted. Realised drank virtually no water today and had a ton of caffeine so that might be why my bladder is like the sahara desert. Also ate entire galaxy bar except one row which Mr Moo has returned home and stolen.

Can't believe Babymoo has slept like a fricking log since 630. Not a wee peep out of him.

rollerbaby · 25/01/2011 21:43

hurrah for the big move Fanny! How is the packing going? I love packing. And labelling boxes. It brings out the school monitor in me. I'd really like a clipboard one day.

Backinthebox · 25/01/2011 22:16

I've had a lovely day today. I took LG out for lunch with a group of my female work colleagues. If you know what I do, you will understand this is a very select group of individuals, some of them legends within the industry I work in. LG loved it! If a baby could flirt, he would be the biggest floozy going - he giggled and gurgled for about 3 hours before zonking out for just long enough to ram my food down and then woke up and got straight back to his coy little smiles. Much admired by my workmates, both the mothers and the avowed non-parents. And it made me realise that while I am loving being at home, I am really looking forward to getting back into an adult environment later in the year. I left them all about to launch into a serious session, with the promise that next time we meet LG will be older and left with OH, I will get a lift and join in the cocktails Grin

The only fly in the ointment today was a phone call to say TT has conjunctivitis. Trying to get eyedrops in is not fun!

Oh, and another thing - I was sat opposite the woman I did my initial training with, and she has now been off for 4 years having babies, and will go back in early 2012 after a nearly 5 year pregnancy/maternity leave and 3 babies Confused

Anyway. Apart from the fact I have to go to work I could be a lady who lunches!

CUNextTuesday · 25/01/2011 22:30

I too had a lovely day, thank you laydeez. Looking back I don't think Rastus was being very sociable this afternoon - I'll have words with him about that when he wakes at midnight

SilverSky · 26/01/2011 07:37

Yo FESHs!

Big thanks to tuesday and the gang for a very nice ladies wot lunch yesterday (paté hmmmm) even more so cos it knackered the boy out!

Parents arrived at 5.15 to spend time with MB so we kept him up late, second time this week, for their benefit! So he went to bed around 8 when he became cranky. He woke at 1130 to stuff his face and then slept til 7! Yes 7! I've had a proper sleep. So why do I feel exhausted??

MB is still trying to roll onto his tum but without success and mucho frustration with high pitched screams.

Cosmosis · 26/01/2011 09:30

If Artie would stop waking up, he would actually be almost sleeping through now. Fed him at 12, and then at 6. however, he woke about ever 1/2 hour between those times. doing my head in. stick dummy in, pat chest he goes back to sleep.. repeat to fade.

jelus of lunch

SilverSky · 26/01/2011 09:36

Sellotape dummy in????

Cosmosis · 26/01/2011 09:52

Grin rigs up automatic chest patting machine.

CUNextTuesday · 26/01/2011 10:27

ooo patent pending!

rollerbaby · 26/01/2011 10:39

god that sounds tough cossie. how old is he now? did it get worse all of a sudden? I am paranoid about this 4 month sleep regression I keep reading about. I can't cope with babymoo's sleep getting worse again!

managed a decent night from 10.30 til 4 and then down til 7. Fed him and then went back to bed until 9 thanks to my lovely husband. Bizarrely though I still have a headache. I seem to wake up with a mild one every day now... does this sound familiar? I assume it's just tiredness but it is bloody annoying.

I can't believe it. I'm on the laptop in babymoo's room. Stuck him down in cot 5 minutes ago (coincidentally around same time id expect him to get tired) and he's only gone to sleep on his own IN THE DAY. Wooooooooo.

Cosmosis · 26/01/2011 11:22

He's 20 weeksm and yes it was sudden - at ny he was doing 10 - 3 and then it all went to pot. Is deffo the 4m regression - but not all babies get it so you may not honey. headache dehydration? I need to drink loads in the night.

CluckyKate · 26/01/2011 18:28

Try cold chamomile tea for the conjunctivitis Boxer - LC has had it a few times (v. sticky eyes) and it's worked a treat. Just wipe the eyes with cotton wool soaked in the tea. If it doesn't clear up in a couple of days then go back to the eye drops. Obv depends on severity of the infection but a whole lot easier to administer so worth a try Smile

What is this sleep regression of which you all speak???....not heard of it before so plz to enlighten. Ta

rollerbaby · 26/01/2011 19:27

Breast milk also recommended for eye infections I hear!

SilverSky · 26/01/2011 19:55

Note to self - do not change bed time for ANYBODY or thou risks the wrath of unsettled baybee who grumbles and complains and refuses to sleep.

Backinthebox · 26/01/2011 21:23

I have dealt with the problem of conjunctivitis by packaging TT off to her nana's :o

Latest LG ishoo - he just loves to bite the booby. And when I tell him off he just giggles at me. The naughty boy. I might need some help with this one though, as drawing blood was what caused me to stop BFing TT. She was much older though - LG isn't old enough to stop yet.

SilverSky · 27/01/2011 02:56

Umm gum shields?

CluckyKate · 27/01/2011 08:01

P'raps the cannibal baby is ready for solids Box Wink

Think he needs to learn that such behaviour means removal of breast, a clear No! and then re-offer it. Repeat until chomping stops. Is a bit like training dogs/horses - positive reinforcement and all that. He's a bit little, I know, but he'll soon catch-on to the idea.
Oh and try not to laugh/smile with him when he does it, no matter how cute & giggly he gets - hard, I know, but you'll only encourage him .

Cosmosis · 27/01/2011 08:59

well we had a much better night last night, in that he slept inbetween feeds! hurrah!

What CK said re the biting, but can I just say ow.

OkieCokie · 27/01/2011 09:11

Ow to the biting Box and hurrah to the better night Cos.

Have parents coming today for the night as they are off for a swanky weekend away tomorrow paid for by me and my brother to celebrate a big birthday so we are all out for a posh meal tonight. Have got a babysitter and fingers crossed neither child will wake up. I am tempted to drive in case I need to rush home quickly but that defeats the object of going out and paying £8 an hr for a babysitter and then just drink sparkling water which I know I will regret once there. Hmmm.

Cosmosis · 27/01/2011 09:51

Oh dear, I seem to have pissed someone off on the sleep topic.
