....thought i'd better start a thread as there are currently 4 of us, with several more to follow!

Joey is now 4 days old (where did the time go?!?), and is doing really well. He actually managed to sleep through with just one feed last night, though i must confess i cheated and had him in bed with me (at my MW's recommendation!) as he was so fretful the night before.

Looking forward in the coming days and weeks to welcoming the other members of the Oct 05 antenatal group to this post-natal club, so i won't feel like Billy No-Mates, talking to myself

RTL - that was the thread I was on about earlier but didn't have the octupus arms to find!!

gosh thanks for the link. I'd always assumed I had to sterilise everything for a year. This really makes sense to me.

J&RM, don't you find those bottles a real PITA to clean etc. They take twice as long and now Ruby's past the colicky stage I'd rather not use them. I'd also be a lot happier I could get normal bottles clean, but I've tried her on a normal bottle but she won't take it. I think she's really got attached to those soft teats on Dr Browns. I'm going to try putting those on normal bottles and see what happens. I could put them in the dishwasher but I only put this on once a day and I need to wash bottles more often than that.

To be free of sterilising will be FANTASTIC!!!
Oooooooooh aren't we rebels on the October thread, no sterilising, early weaning..........

agree we need a new thread!

I do find dr browns a PITA but Becky is happy with them im not going to change her just yet. Becky didnt take to the avent bottles all that well when i first started feeding her, and she is still quite windy even with Dr Browns. Im also thinking because she isnt getting air in when she feeds that it has made her a lot less sicky..... Jessica threw up most of her feeds every day for 6 months!

BBB - Joey was 15 weeks and 1 day when we started, just with a bit of baby rice to begin with, and he was back to sleeping through from that night. He's now 17 weeks, and has a small portion of a single pureed vegetable at lunchtime which seems to be working for him (and us!) HTH.

Typing this on MIL's computer (she is good for something then!) and off to Sherwood Forest tomorrow. Catch up next Sunday when we're back. Take care all, NM x
