Feeding to sleep is still happening, DP always says he'll stop when hes ready.

The formula is there for back up but when I made one up for him earlier he refused it and only wanted me. I wanted to go to bed.

WinterChillita · 16/01/2011 19:38

dh I managed to get S to stop feeding to sleep for a bit but we're back to it again. Occasionally he'll go to sleep without boob but not normally.
tsc I hope you manage to get something sorted out so you're not both tiptoeing around each other, it's no fun for anyone and the children always notice when the parents aren't talking!
mlic and kk glad you had a good night last night, I'd love a night out but S has about 3 feeds between bed and 11pm so no hope of that.
memphis hopefully this support group will give you a load of confidence so you can start to beat these anxiety worries.

WinterChillita · 16/01/2011 19:54

and can I just say... that after 24 weeks and 5 days (last thursday) I finally am feeding S painfree Grin keep wanting to latch him on the right side cos it doesn't hurt!

CakeandRoses · 16/01/2011 20:13

chulita bloody great news re the lack of pain! Seriously well done for carrying on bf thru it til now too!

memphis really sorry to hear you've been feeling worse again. Hope this group turns out to be just what you need.

A appears to be starting the 6m growth spurt as she seems suddenly huge and is feeding more. Just put her in the first 6-9m sleepsuit and it fits her like a glove. Gonna get lots of wear out of that then...

Oh and everyone keeps saying 'gosh cake, aurelia looks so like you it's almost weird', it's hard for me to see it apart from I can tell her eyes are identical to mine. Are your babies starting to show a strong resemblence to you or dp or a mixture?

R is her dads double but ds is my double. Strangely step ds is very like him but he and R dont look alike, theres pics of them on fb see what you think

Good news bout pain free chulita

memphis you know we're all 'here' for you. Hope the group helps

tsc did you get a night out?

Glad you both had a good night mlic and kk

CakeandRoses · 16/01/2011 21:10

gorgeous pic - i can really see you in W but not in E, mlic.

I'll upload the latest one i took of F and A together in a mo

I've been feeling strangely buzzy like i'm high on caffeine for the last week and couldn't work out why. It's just hit me - this is how I used to be pre-pg with aurelia! i'm normally one of those annoyingly hyper people and what with 9 months of pregnancy then just feeling run down with bf, lack of sleep, bugs etc, i've been working at half my usual energy levels. Felt quite sad really to realise that i'd forgotten what i'm actually like as its been so long.

great news that you've got your energy levels back cake.

chulita that's BRILLIANT news that you're feeding pain-free. It took 8 weeks for me to get to that point and I thought that was bad enough, and you had to put up with it for three times as long.

DS is 26 weeks today - he'll be 6 months in terms of date on Tuesday. Then I can stop feeling guilty about weaning/having put him in the pushchair bit/giving him wheat & dairy etc!

Just got a Fisher Price rainforest jumperoo on eBay for £26, and DH went to collect it (it was local). It's bloody massive! Don't know where it's going to live.

kkfairybrains · 16/01/2011 21:47

mlic i think william looks very much like you!
E is just the double of dp. it's not even funny there's just no resemblance to me whatsoever! her hair hasn't changed colour much either since she was born. she was quite red but she's just a strawberry blonde now. neither me nor dp has red hair though but one of his brothers does!
memphis sorry to hear you're feeling down again. has anything set it off. really hope the support group does it for you.
mlic i have to post a lot of my mobile photo's to facebook too as my mum can't recieve picture messages so she asks me to put them up too!

WhatSheSaid · 16/01/2011 21:50

Both dds look like dh (but with more hair Grin)

Memphis hope the group helps.

Chillita blimey, well done for bfing all this time while it's been hurting! It was only painful the first few days for me - who knows if I would have managed to carry on if it kept hurting this long.

CakeandRoses · 16/01/2011 21:58

both of mine have been proper baldies for the first 6 months or so. F is a blondie (as is dh) and has been from birth, well what little fluff hair there was then anyway. A has reddish-brown 'hair' like me.

just saw dh's nephew for the 2nd time yday - he's 7 months and has a full head of hair! Made A look even balder!

nixster28 · 16/01/2011 22:28

i think i'm suffering seriously delayed nesting. i never had it whilst pregnant as i was trying to move house which was crazy enough. last night i cleaned out all the kitchen cupboards, blizted the bathroom and sorted all Dreya's 'old' clothes for ebay & charity shop. very unlike me as usually stuck to the sofa once she's in bed & usual chores done

cakes glad to hear you're feeling like your old high self!

kk something you trying to tell about your bro in law?? Wink lol

Dreya is my double i'm told, she definitely has my chubby cheeks & my mouth (hopefully not in attitude just physical sense!) she does have her daddy's eyes but of course people have to my word for it unless i show them a photo

kkfairybrains · 16/01/2011 23:11

Ha ha nixter!! was actually thinking that as i was writing it! no...you seriously would never go there even if single!

WhatSheSaid · 17/01/2011 00:01

Mlic E and W do look very alike.

Both mine were up at 10 to 5 this morning, I will add that they are not normally up that early but A fell asleep on the sofa yesterday at 5.30pm and we just put her to bed from there at about 6.30. So she then woke up at 10 to 5 this morning and her noise woke her little sister up too. I have just driven A around in the car for a bit to get her to sleep, she doesn't normally sleep in the day but she NEEDS to today or she will be a mess. So she is asleep in the car at the mo (lunchtime here).

A had loads of hair as a baby, people used to comment on it, they have both been born with dark hair and gone blonder though. More hair than their daddy who shaves his head to hide the fact he is going bald.

CakeandRoses · 17/01/2011 00:19

just df Aurelia and pondering stuff.

sil took a pic of dh and me yday and i just looked at it and realised its the first pic of us without either of the DCs for over a year Sad. Is that terrible? Tis a nice pic of us too tho we look a bit orange, made me feel quite wistful for the carefree couple of yesterday year!

finished df already as A is whacked and couldn't stay awake. she's so happy to be home again, bless her. When i put her in her crib at bedtime she went crazy with excitement, giggling and waving her arms and legs like mad. She seems to hate being away from home - we've travelled with her 4 times now (norfolk, brighton, devon and now yorkshire) and she hated sleeping in them all.

CakeandRoses · 17/01/2011 00:21

10 to 5 wss?!

WhatSheSaid · 17/01/2011 01:22

10 to 5 wasn't actually that bad, well, it wasn't great but I'd had 7 hours sleep so I feel fine.

I don't think dh and I have any photos of just the two of us since before dd1 was born...over 3 years ago!

I go to bed about 9.30 every night! That's a late night for me! Well...maybe more like 10 now.

Great news about W only waking once.

I'm just watching the red carpet skinnyfest fashions from the Golden Globes earlier today, I love watching lightweight trashy TV like this. Dh is round at the neighbours helping with some immigration-to-NZ questions (for neighbours brother) so I get to watch it in peace.

Well done chulita for carrying on through the pain, its all worth it!

Well I was going to go into town today but its -pissing down-- raining.

Also Im a bit confused as to how DP got into work today as his van is still outside Confused

Dylan woke up twice last night, hes done that for the past few nights now so it seems to be a pattern.
The wakings tend to be around half 2 and half 5ish.

CakeandRoses · 17/01/2011 08:47

mlic that a super night Grin Long may it continue.

I'm in the nay camp wrt to W and E looking alike actually. I can't see any resemblance to each other - i can just see you in W and dh in E (from memory of your wedding pics)

Brill news re the creche too. Hope you enjoy a little bit of mummy and E time.

wss i wish i would go to bed early but i'm just not built that way. 11pm is an early night for me. I'm usually thinking about sleep around midnight but can easily get caught up in a book or mumsnet til after (went to sleep at 12.40am last night Shock). If I try to go to bed early, I just can't sleep.

Laughed at the 'you wouldn't go theres' especially mlic's dh's twin! although i misread your sentence initially and thought it said that w was like dh's twin himself (and gay) iyswim? i thought now, mlic, that's just plain freaky!

A was so happy to be home that she did her mini sleep thru: 7.30pm bedtime, 11.45pm dream feed then slept til 5am feed then back down til 7am when F woke too (in his own bed!!) - I decided to pretend it was still night so A went back off again til 8am and dh took F in his bedroom to play Grin

CakeandRoses · 17/01/2011 08:48

oh and mlic do you think w will cope ok in the creche or have you just accepted he'll howl the whole time?

DesperateHousewife20 · 17/01/2011 08:56

Ah DPs van had a flat battery, so he never actually left!

Its fixed now for anyone that cares.
