mlic there isnt anything wrong with formula of course not! It just feels odd to me as Ive bf for 6 months solid!

Im def having another baby Grin dont worry, Im not pregnant yet! In a couple of years I def want to have another, I really really want a girl but obv cant choose.
it sounds awful but I think Id be a tiny bit disappointed if I found out I was having another boy.

Of course Id be lucky to have another healthy baby and Id have all Dylan's old stuff so would be useful in that respect.

Dylan's got an awful cold, really chesty cough and blocked nose :(

CakeandRoses · 07/01/2011 09:03

Goodness, yesterday evening was mad! Finally got back after a 6.5 hour drive (inc 2 stops) at 5.30 as the M25 was a mess, then went out for a curry then put babies to bed and then embarked on the mammoth undertaking of dedecking the halls (we have too many decorations and it was foolish to return on the 6th!) Eventually sat down at 10.30pm.

should be able to recover today as Mr F is in nursery. hoping to go to the cinema with dh and A.

all feeling much better after an actual night's sleep. Aurelia only woke once after her dream feed then slept til 8am (yay!) and F slept til 7.30am (snuck into our bed at 4am tho)

dh Glad to hear D's nearly sitting up Grin A is almost there too now although sits too far forward and looks v precarious! I took a few of her attempts to sit up and will upload one when I get a mo - I took sooo many photos whilst we were away (300!) so will take a while going thru those! Oh and brilliant news that D is taking a bottle!

viksam that sounds a shocker of a christmas Sad. you'll have to do something nice in the new year to make up for it. really pleased that D is guzzling again - its sooo worrying when they don't eat isn't it? i nearly drove myself insane with worry when my toddler was off food before xmas.

mlic tis sad that this experience has put you off having no 3. you'd be bloody unlucky to have a screamer again but it's be a big risk! I totally know how you feel tho as I kept getting hormonal/emotional urges about having another (although logically i know it's not really sensible for us to have another what with my age plus i don't know if i'd relish the mess, chaos, noise etc of three children!) but after A's hellish sleeping earlier this week I turned to dh and said 'This has totally made me realised I DO NOT want to go thru this again!' She'd been such a good baby previously that it had lulled me into a false sense of security!

chulita laughed out loud at 'your' green poo Grin I guess we're going to start to get some very funny and yet embarrassing comments from our 2YOs from now on!

who's got anything exciting in the way of 6-9month clothes they want to show off? I have I have!

Look at this lush coat we got A in the jojo sale. Will cry when she outgrows it!

My sister also bought her some really pretty butterfly print outfits for xmas (from Next) that I wouldn't mind wearing myself!

CakeandRoses · 07/01/2011 09:39

oh and my only other sale purchase (and techically doesn't count as we'd planned to buy it anyway, it was just lucky it was in the sale) was a dinner service plus pasta bowls from this range. it looks miles nicer 'in the flesh' as it's all wobbly and hand-made looking.

pretty dismal sales performance from me this year but just didn't fancy the shops again after the present-buying madness pre-xmas.

WinterChillita · 07/01/2011 10:05

Ack, cakes I've been trying not to buy that coat for L, she's got two secondhand ski jacket types in size 2-3 so can't really justify getting her another one (even if these ones are soooo gorgeous!). I try and go more practical/rainproof but sometimes I wish I'd just buy her more pretty stuff.
stac here's the list more or less, need to put a couple more things on but haven't decided what yet.
vanish soap
karvol
calpol
nail scissors
infacol
hairbrush
dentinox
toothbrush
chocolate
small bag for bf essentials
malteasers
baby balm that can double up as nipple cream (if I can find one)
teether
muslins
I bought a lidded bucket to put it all in that they can use for dirty nappies (if they use cloth) or pooed on clothes.
mlic I sometimes think the same about the 3rd child but DH and I are settled on 4 unless the 3rd one kicks my arse. The only problem I foresee is having 4 cs...really not looking forward to those or the pregnancy, or the first 6 months but after that we'll be ok I reckon. Everytime I think about it though I wilt a bit inside at the thought of another crap pregnancy, being ripped open again, establishing bfing again, getting 4 hours sleep a night for another 6 months again.[sigh] but we'd really like more children...tbh our house is a perpetual chaos anyway so I'd most likely lose a couple under the clutter Grin
Speaking of 4 hours sleep, S wouldn't settle til 11pm, L up at 12 and 1, S up at 2-3 then big poo and awake at 5. Hah! Who was it who said you get one crap sleeper and you're owed a good one next time? LIAR! (that's an ugly word isn't it?)

memphis83 · 07/01/2011 10:05

cakes that looks very much like my dinner set!!
dh im bound to have another boy if i had another, we are both from families where 95% are male, i really didnt want a girl 1st as i would know what to do with one" but now ive got my boy i wouldnt be bothered either way, the only things im keeping are my crib, bumbo, highchair and carseat, everything else will go inc pushchair as what else will i have to do for the 9 months other than shop!? im keeping my favourite outfit of Ls from each size range but that is for me not to put another baby in!
its snowing here! wanted to go food shopping, want to start being more savvy with food shop and want to only go asda once a month to get Ls nappies and milk other than that i want to stay away, its gone down hill at the one here! so tescos is also a no no apart from when i forget something as its nearest shop but i think it is expensive and the fresh fruit bit smells of sewerage which cant be good! so its morrisons for me i think!

CakeandRoses · 07/01/2011 10:32

perhaps we should set up a syndicate for the production of 3rd (and 4th?!) babies. We'll each take the bits we're good at...

Bagsy, I do pregnancies as I kick arse at those. Someone else can take the birth tho as I only do c-secs and 2 will do me fine Grin

Stac2011 · 07/01/2011 10:45

defo no more for me. I was convinced R would be a boy as dp and i have a boy each. R is the first girl in his family for 25yrs. We tried to change R's routine last night. It seemed to make her more restless. It'll probs take a few goes though. She is now 6mths can't believe we're heading into the 2nd half of their first year.

memphis hows your aunt and the baby? Thats a bad bout them cutting her bladder, they do say its possible. What weight was the lo? Her blood sugars will settle in the next couple of days, R's were high to start. Let us know how they are. We dont have snow but its very icy.

Thanks for the list chulita i'll need to get something sorted she is due at the end of january. You must be shattered after last night, will both kids nap so you can?

cakes got some gorgeous clothes i would love to wear lol. Love the coat. Was F all over the cat when he got home since he was missing him?

dh have you's decided how long you'll wait before your next baby

mlic saw the pic of w on fb i love pics like that. Even if he didnt eat it he looks so happy

viksam R was an assisted pregnancy but i was told i could end up pg very quickly. Are you going back to gp for help to have your next baby? Did you use clomid? X

Stac2011 · 07/01/2011 10:48

cakes if you do the pregnancy i'll do the c-s but not a natural birth Grin

I can establish bfing then, I hate it but I'm stubborn as a mule.
I've got no libido either, think it's due to sleep deprivation tbh, come evening I just want to go to bed, not leap on DH slathering all over him.
tsc Frankie's moving already? Good boy!
S can sit for about 30 secs before surrendering to gravity. He rolls front to back all the time but won't roll back to front. He scoots about on his front - I put him feet to foot in his cot on his front, he wakes up head to head on his back. We're still in 3-6 month cos S is only small (which is why I'm not shifting this weight)

stac she only weighed 9 pound but she was absolutly huuuuge, her bump started at her chin!! apparently 6 stone weight gain!! baby still in intensive care, aunty is on ward but still in bad way still dont think she has held baby! still nameless too!
cakes i will do natural birth, well out the fanjo birth, even if it took 44 hours, and it turned a bit bad i was so drugged up i cant remember anything about it!! actually said to dh i want another one as when things went bad i cant remember L coming out, seeing him or anything i just remember saying mum im scared, due to blood loss, so im determined to remember that next time, dh said if i dont remember it next time we arent having a 3rd which we shook on, i couldnt do more than 2!
tsc im dreading the moving bit, L moves around in a circle on his tummy and can now move backwards everyone thinks he will walk by 9 months as he loves being up on his feet, but he wont i will kick him over if he does, i dont want to be running about before a year!!!

CakeandRoses · 07/01/2011 11:54

i'd do 'conception' (only if its my dh tho obv!) as my mojo is alive and kicking. Once A is in her own room next month we'd have the time - and a small window of opportunity before F joins us each night.

i'd do bf too as i'm the most efficient, pain-free breastfeeder ever - someone else can do the winding tho as the side effect is the most fart-wracked, reflux-ridden babies.

i notice no-one's taking 'nights'. ah well, i guess no more babies for us Sad Grin

tsc wow, Frankles is doing really well with sitting and moving and erm... growing long, esp as he's one of the thread's youngest.

A can roll well but hardly gets the chance as she's still so refluxy after just a minute flat on her back.

i haven't been arsed had time to get her weighed in an age but at 5 months (on 27th dec) she's outgrown her 3-6m clothes lengthways so i'm not worried about her size at all.

I was an early walker (9 or 10 months - it changes according to mother's mood Grin) but F didn't walk til 14 months, altho he could quite clearly walk at 12months but just wouldn't unless almost forced.

I agree with you tsc re the crawling stage - it's such a pain. the stage when they're sitting up but not going too far is the easiest! we're hoping that she's not yet crawling by the time we go to america (inspired by your comment ages ago that hols abroad are easier before they're on the move)

CakeandRoses · 07/01/2011 11:59

xposted memphis that does sound a horror of a birth. 44 hours Shock

CakeandRoses · 07/01/2011 12:29

chulita i don't know if this helps

DesperateHousewife20 · 07/01/2011 13:00

stac not exactly but I want Dylan to be quite independant so taking himself to the toilet etc so maybe 2 and a half- 3?

Strangely enough that didn't help at all cakes but I shall console myself by looking at the most gorgeous little french leather boots that I bought off ebay for L :) Shame she doesn't have a pink cord coat to wear them with...
Tbh I don't buy hardly anything new for the dcs. At Sam's age he grows out of stuff in 3 months so there's no point and at L's age she gets covered in pen/jam/calpol so again, no point. Every now and then I buy something new and lovely but the first stain I get on it reminds not to bother next time!
cakes if you're willing you can have the bf, I've still got pain on one side 24 weeks in so I'm no good at it really. I'll do the nights then since no one's offering. I'm up with my two, I may as well be up with all of yours as well Grin
L crawled at 9 months and walked at 13 so I'm thinking the same sort of age for S. Only difference is that S loves being on his tummy so he might crawl a bit earlier...who knows?!
memphis I found the crawling worse than the walking with L, everything at their eye-level is at your shin level so they find stuff you wouldn't even think of moving - and they are so quick! Thankfully she wasn't a quick mover so we were safe for a while :)

WinterChillita · 07/01/2011 13:53

mlic I've come down with cba syndrome too...both children finally in bed and I could do the shred instead I'm trying to watch a film online with my crap connection. I'm going to have to do it tonight I think

memphis83 · 07/01/2011 14:13

mlic im glad about that my friends baby walked at 9 months and it looks freaky as she was so small, my older brother was quicker at walking that the girls he wlked at 10 months, they didnt think he would walk til 2 or so as he had his hips reset and in cast for ages!
dh my little brother is 4 next month and only just potty trained 6 months ago and he still wont go alone step mum has to sit with him when he goes! we are also looking at when he is 2 and a half, if we decide to have them then we will but if not thats it no more, i dont want L at school then adapting to not being my spoilt only child!!

Grin mlic
fitness dvd - nope
food shopping - nope
washing up - nope
tea prepared - nope
belly filled with toast - done
copious cups of tea drunk - done
film - mid-way done 'cept children only gave me 20 mins and are back up so that'll have to wait.
Might get an order done cos cba to take both of them out to the shops in the snow.

Woodlands · 07/01/2011 15:55

i'll take the pooey nappies, for some reason i find them quite satisfying to get cleaned up and i don't mind them. helps that j doesn't poo very often... he hasn't been for a few days and is quite farty, hope the banana he's been eating hasn't bunged him up.

j isn't moving at all yet - he rolled from front to back once but never since. he can sit up for a few seconds but then folds over forwards. he's been in 6-9 month clothes for a few weeks now, and some 9-12 ones too.

he scratches his head (cradle cap/dry skin) when he's tired and yesterday had a scratching frenzy when i wasn't looking and scratched the front of his head to a bloody pulp! seriously, blood was oozing down his face and the cuts wept all evening till the scabbed up overnight. he looks a right state. am thinking of taking him to see the gp to ask if there's a special cream we shoulfd use - have been using aqueous cream bt it seems to make it worse.hate wasting doctors' time though!
