ps am now filing his nails daily to help with scratches.

WinterChillita · 07/01/2011 16:39

woodlands have you tried Dentinox cradle cap shampoo? S tends to do the same thing and often has a very scabby head but Dentinox every night (not bathing him but just washing his 'hair') seems to clear it up.

Woodlands · 07/01/2011 16:47

We had some but seem to have lost it at some stage over Christmas (it's probably languishing under some relative's bed somewhere). It did seem to be working quite well. In fact I bought some more at Sainsbury's this morning so will start using it again now and see if it helps.

Since G has started sleeping better at nights (approx 2 weeks) I have already manged to block out the memory of the horrendous sleep deprivation and started thinking...another would be lovely...

But we won't so we're both 40 this year. And we can't afford it. But if it happened accidentally I wouldn't be sad

The pg isn't too bad for me, heavily pg with an older dc is tiring at times but not that bad - c section was fine - recovery quite quick - but I think we're going to be sensible and not have another.

In breaking news, while I've been on MN I left G on the floor without nappy on as she has a bit of a rash. She has pooed everywhere and rolled in it. Sigh. At least we have wooden floors, not carpet.

CakeandRoses · 07/01/2011 18:26

chulita have you had a mo to get hold of the pure potion stuff i raved about?

woodlands aqueous cream is the devils brew - docs shouldn't prescribe it for eczema or dry skin but they still do. try either lush's dream cream or the pure potion skin salvation i mention above.

CakeandRoses · 07/01/2011 18:36

oh and i posted a link to our holiday pics to the facebook group

Woodlands · 07/01/2011 19:25

mlic true, i was going to see the hv yesterday but the clinic wasn't on, and from next week i'm going to a music class that clashes with the clinic time. I might have to brave a different one!

cake I have always used aqueous cream on my eczema, not that I get it these days, and I still use it for patches of dry skin and as a facial moisturiser all through winter, hence why I tried it on J! But I know some people react badly to it, and I think I won't use it any more on J. I have been putting sudacrem on the scratches to help them heal but that has lanolin in, which I am sensitive to, so I hope J isn't too.

wss oh no! I just put J on the carpet for some nappy-free time before his bath with a towel underneath him in the hopes that sod's law would make him poo - he hasn't been for days which can't be good! But it didn't work.

Right, he's rubbing his eyes, even though he only woke up from a 2 hour nap 2 hours ago - might try and get him into bed!

WinterChillita · 07/01/2011 19:26

cakes I am a world-class procrastinator but I'm ordering some right now. L's skin is awful at the mo so I owe it to her to try it!

S is currently in bed shouting. He got a bit thrown by me having a nap this arvo when DH got home early, then wouldn't nap when he was due one, then fell asleep after screaming the whole way through us Shredding, then woke up while I was showering and is now refusing to sleep. Oh the joys...waiting for DH to get home with fish and chips so should really settle him now or I'll only have to do it while my chips go cold.

Brilliant tsc!!! Seems as though these babies are finally coming round to our way of thinking!! enjoy the booze!
Cakes that coat is just gorgeous!! ellie has some lovely bits too and for christmas she got a calven klein wardrobe of clothes of 9-12 months from my dad. Gorgeous stuff!!
Will post more later

Woodlands · 07/01/2011 20:13

woo hoo tsc!!!

Just spent ages in the bedroom with J. He does this thing where he seems to desperately want to feed, latches onto my chin/arm/whatever else but when I offer him the nipple he arches his back and screams (without even trying to latch on). He screamed and screamed and screamed till I was crying my eyes out too. I decided to bring him through and maybe give him some calpol but now in the living room he's happy as larry again. DH is on his way home from work and is picking up a chinese, might wait till after I've had that and a beer before trying again.

CakeandRoses · 07/01/2011 20:18

tsc - that is great news!!! f started slowly like that with an ounce out of a beaker then gradually worked up to a whole feed (this was at 14 months, mind so you've done better than i!)

my step-mother used aqueous cream on felix when she had him overnight a while back thinking it would be the best thing for his skin. We'd just got rid of his eczema (finally) and then it flared up, bleeding and raw for a couple of weeks afterwards - this was after just using it once!

chulita did you order some or email them for a free sample?

kk oh do send pics of E in your faves - I do love a cute children's outfit, sad old mare that i am! I'll post a pic of A in her coat when i get round to taking one.

right off to make some pasta to try out our new bowls Grin

oh and i undertook some sales shopping in the white stuff earlier (plus had a 15% off discount card). One top has to go back as it's too baggy to be flattering but the dress and beads are gorgeous. plus i found out that they don't use black but use navy as a dark base instead which i much prefer so will be shopping there more!

tsc Grin

still waiting for DH and our fish and chips...

DesperateHousewife20 · 07/01/2011 21:09

mlic how do you get all that stuff done with a baby?! Dylan barely lets me have a shower.

The White Company is expensive, we have one in our town (well the town next door, where I wish I lived again, I grew up there and am determined to get back there) they had some nice grey tights with little white hearts on but was £15 for one pair Confused

I'd agree with you mlic, I get more done this time round than I did with DD just cos it needs to get done whereas with L I could tailor my life to suit her. I can't do the Shred when they're awake though, L spends the whole time climbing under me (there's a lot of plank moves in round 2 that you can't do with a toddler underneath you) and S cries the.entire.time. Don't know why, other times he'll sit in his nest for half an hour no worries but if I'm shredding he'll cry. Bumbo on the worktop is fantastic though, he'll happily suck on a spoon while I cook!

WinterChillita · 07/01/2011 21:48

DH just picked up the light green bounty pack from Sainsbury's and it's rubbish! We got a purple spoon and two vouchers...anyone got anything better? I remember with DD we got a jar of something and loads more stuff.

mlic did he actually eat any?

tsc white company stuff is lovely. i bought A a rose-print blanket from there and got lots of use out of it (as a bf cover during lunch today in fact!)

white stuff is not the same as the white company - it's kinda boden meets fatface. some stuff is quite frumpy but there's some lovely prints.

WinterChillita · 07/01/2011 22:00

wss Grin I've not dared leave S nappy-less since he peed in his own mouth...
