ah yes - i can see your point there re washed, dried and ironed!

Chulita · 30/11/2010 09:44

cake my bed is covered in dry clothes that I keep putting there thinking I'll have to fold them up and put them away in order to go to bed - instead they get dumped on the floor at night and back on the bed during the day. [sigh] I hate the whole washing/drying/putting away business!

Chulita · 30/11/2010 09:45

needle we bought an oil-filled radiator from Argos yesterday, some of them are half price at the mo if you're interested.

memphis83 · 30/11/2010 09:55

thanks everyone for support, feeling so much better at the moment!!
tsc i still laugh at that story everytime i think of it, its not even the fact you had no bottoms on i laugh more at dps reation your minge your minge!! haha!!
mlic our mothercare doesnt have them, i can only see them on amazon in a gift set.
L is finally asleep, been up since 6 he was up every 2 hours i might do a tsc and go to trading standards, i think i have a faulty baby, he has never woke more than once b4 the past week!! i put him in his own cot and he had a coughing fit and he couldnt catch his breath, i almost shit myself with worry

CakeandRoses · 30/11/2010 10:00

Thanks chulita it was actually the argos one i was trying to send the link to needle!

Soo with you on the washing front. I am dreading Aurelia going in her own room as it'll mean giving up the space where I hide put all the laundry!

memphis that sounds super-scary. i'm the worst panicker in the world with things like that and have almost shaken both of mine to death when i've been trying to help them in those type of situations (thankfully dh is much calmer so usually takes over!)

memphis83 · 30/11/2010 10:01

cakes luckily my dh is the calm one and take over just like your dh

CakeandRoses · 30/11/2010 10:03

oh and i've just uploaded a pic (to fb) of A with her bunny that she sleeps with. have any of yours taken to any stuffed toys yet? would love to see pics if so, i find it sooo sweet when they get attached to things.

F has a bigger version of the same rabbit (by coincidence as they were bought by different friends) which he sleeps with and loves to bits.

DesperateHousewife21 · 30/11/2010 10:10

Morning!

Bloody, bloody snow. I was really hoping it wouldnt snow down here, but it has.
Im going to get Dylan weighed, then Im driving to the next town to see my friend. The snow WILL NOT stop me!

We're going to get Dylan some teethers, he wants to chew on everything so might aswell get him something which is supposed to be chewed.

I cant believe he's nearly 21 weeks, not long til I can start weaning. How exciting!

dunno tsc. i was like that last week - hence why i asked who had got their period back!

I cried several times over nothing and was raging at dh and he actually had the guts to ask if i was due on. I blasted back at him "I have just been pregnant, I have had a baby, I'm breastfeeding, my hormones might be a little on the high side, dontcha think?! I want to kill you most of the time but I'm managing to control myself so be bloody grateful" (i don't actually want to kill him most of the time but last week there were times... Grin)

DesperateHousewife21 · 30/11/2010 11:35

Grin Thanks tsc its really good to know its benefitting both me and Dylan.

He's had a poxy 20 min nap in his bouncy chair, I didnt have to feed him to sleep but he's just such an awful sleeper, he keeps making himself jump and opening his eyes, then drifting back off, then jumping 5 mins later. How can he have a decent nap when hes doing that?

CakeandRoses · 30/11/2010 11:47

dh ds was exactly the same - it's why i still swaddle aurelia

she gets off to sleep fine in the car or pram without swaddling but if she's at home and still, i'll swaddle her for most naps and all night-time sleep. if you don't want to swaddle (or D won't let you) then you could try giving him something to hold like a muslin (obviously you can't leave him with it) as this might stop him startling himself - this works sometimes with A for naps.

DesperateHousewife21 · 30/11/2010 11:59

Yeah hes never let me swaddle him, I was trying to get in the habit of having his comforter with him for all naps/bedtime but I keep forgetting!

Omg who watches corrie? Charlotte is a mental case, and why the hell is John going along with it!?

Dylthan · 30/11/2010 12:44

tsc Shock Grin that's a story and a half has actually made me laugh out loud. I can't beleive you still don't have a washing machine although if my mum was washing drying and iorning my clothes I would be very reluctant to get a new one Wink

Thanks everyone for the support. I've just been really worried I got bad pnd after I had Dylan and it kicked in when he was about 4 months old. So now that I'm feeling so bad and bethan is 4 months it's a real worry. Although at present I don't feel depressed just overwhelmed. It dosen't help that her reaching this age coincides with this time of year. Last year dh was working 82 hr weeks it also means that everyone is snowed in so I can't get out and mum and granny can't get here to help out. Sad

The school was open today though which helped. I was ment to have baby massage with bethan too but braved the snow to get all the way there only to be told it was cancelled and that they must of missed me off the list to call and tell me. Never mind every cloud since I was out already I decided to stop at the coffee shop and got a nice mocha and huge slice of cake, before I had to pick Dylan up from nursery.

I does make me feel better that everyone else is finding their little ones have suddenly stopped sleeping and that their just emotional wrecks like me (although I'm sorry that everyone else us feeling like this) it makes me think maybe I'm not a crap mum after all.

Thanks tsc I think your right recognising it is the first step. Although dh is a bit quick to find it at the moment everytime a get a bit teary or upset he's very ready to say quick must get you to the doctors. I feel constantly watched which isn't great I feel like saying sometimes I can just be pissed off with you for forgetting to change b's nappy without it meaning I'm having an emotional breakdown. Smile

It is hard on him to though I understand this it pushed us to the brink last time and left him feeling so helpless I think somtimes it must of been even harder for him at the time because as I was left in the fog of depression he had to pick up all the pieces.

stac14 · 30/11/2010 14:42

sleep deprivation makes you feel shit dythlan like you i had bad pnd with ds but the doc allowed me to start an anti-d's as i was so frightened that i would get it again, and as tsc says since you've been there you know the signs, hv say its easier when a woman has had pnd before as she knows the signs. I'm sure you will be fine hun

memphis so glad your feeling better, the group sounds good. I would have freaked with that too, the cons told me its the acid catching in ther throat due to reflux but doesnt stop it being scary

tsc i had forgot that happened to you, no wonder you go to a different pool lmao, yiyr new pics are fab frankies is getting so big

cakes r has a doggy thing and a bear comforter that she likes think there is a pic on my fb, i'll add it to the group

dh the snow is dire here even though they have said it was stopping, liars lol. have a great day xx

I got Dylan weighed today- 17lb 3 now at nearly 21 weeks.

Made a good start on xmas presents too and wrapped them and as it says on fb, Dylan loved the wrapping paper.

mlic we tried cranial osteopathy with S, it did help him get some wind out but it wasn't as dramatic as I'd hoped. You've tried other stuff though so it might be worth a go, some on mn swear by it. Can you get someone from homestart to come to your house and hold him for a bit so you can get some head space? I'd be more than happy to come round and cuddle him in the kitchen with the door closed for a bit but I think I'm a bit far away. Anyone you know who could just hold him for a bit?

DesperateHousewife21 · 30/11/2010 18:02

Oh mlic I really wish we all lived closer, Id def help you out.
I dont really have any advice but we're here for you to rant away!

tsc ignore me if this is an egg-sucking suggestion but have you tried 'wake-to-sleep' tactics? As in, if he's feeding til 1am then sleeping til 10 could you start waking him properly every day at 8am and making sure he's up and see if he'll bring the feeding sessions earlier/sleep earlier in the evening? Just a thought, possibly a load of crap that won't work anyway...
