Silver , no pain from cs now , dd3 is 9 weeks can't remember how old your ds is. Evenings here are darker(curtains shut -she loves window).sometimes a bath& massage. From8/9 lights go down too. Night feeds are done in the dark.

SilverSky · 12/12/2010 19:19

DS is almost six weeks....

floozietoozie · 12/12/2010 20:27

Silver my scar still hurt then. I didn't stop hurting for about two months I think.

Tyson - what in gods name possessed him to drag tge parents if two v young children out at that time of night just to hurl abuse? Did you know before you went that it wasn't for anything serious or did you think it was an emergency? I think I'd have lamped him!

nymphadora · 12/12/2010 20:54

It still hurt at 6 weeks!

Had another cry this afternoon. Not sure if it's PND or being still weak emotionally & totally overwhelmed. Don't want to leave dd3. Longest I've left her was a school run & I have to leave her tomorrow to go to work (2 hours max) and interview on wed ( 1 hour max). Also dd1 is playing in school band on tu night & really should go but dd3 would hate the noise so can't take her. And all that's without the interview stress/redundancy stress/ estate agent stress/Xmas stress & everything else that's going on with poorly children, sleep deprivation & still achy body.

Sorry went a bit long & moany! Blush

Tysonandthehouseelves86 · 12/12/2010 21:15

Nymph sorry you are feeling down. :(

Thanks everyone, i was going to meet mil tonight to build bridges but dh has spoke to fil today and fil apologized, imo took him too long but i have been advised by my mum to back off now as dh has made up with them, im still very angry though and wont forget it.

NoHunIntended · 12/12/2010 23:45

Sorry you are feeling low, nymph. Do please watch yourself. (((hugs))) I think I'd feel a bit swamped too, if I were you - you have so much on your plate.
Good luck with your interview. Hope you got your outfit sorted.

Tyson, glad you and DH are being the bigger people.

Hermya, just bought DS a pair of these tights: www.attic-textiles.co.uk/pages/special_purchase_91355-z=243315&p=21952.cfm#content_243315 - they are on special offer too - bonus! Xmas Smile

HermyaTheRedNosedReindeer · 13/12/2010 11:46

Morning all!! I hope you're all well today.

Hun Thanks for the link!!

Nymph I hope you feel better soon. You're probably feeling quite overwhelmed at the moment, it is a lot to be getting on with by what you've described. Maybe the fact that you're being thrown in at the deep end leaving DD3 is just a bit too much at the moment.

Still feeling under the weather, got an appointment at the Docs tomorrow so will mention it. In the meantime me and DS are going to my works do christmas party, it should be interesting to say the least.

SilverSky · 13/12/2010 12:34

n think its normal to feel a bit all over the place as you have a lot to deal with!

Best therapy is to talk it out.

NoHunIntended · 13/12/2010 13:26

Hermya, love the top your DS is wearing on your profile - where is it from?

SilverSky · 13/12/2010 14:01

Hun - who were/are you?

NoHunIntended · 13/12/2010 14:30

SS, was/am AbFab. :)

nymphadora · 13/12/2010 14:52

Survived! Dd3 v much admired by people at work although still haven't seen my team. Job situation not v healthy so am off to employment to ask re maternity leave/ redundancy as the dates are v significant.might not matter if I get the job on Weds.

Got dd1 off school today & def tomorrow so no idea when I can shop as we had to come straight back from work.

tiredfeet · 13/12/2010 16:08

Glad fil apologised tyson, not surprised you are still upset by it though but hopefully their apology will make things easier, and it sounds like your fil is not the kind of person who would apologise unless he meant it?

nymph - sounds like you have an awful lot on your plate at the minute, its no wonder you are having teary moments. Any one of those things would leave people feeling overwhelmed!

silver ds is eight weeks now and I feel fully recovered from caesarean, and probably have for a good two to three weeks now, can't really remember , do you have your six week check soon? You could always check with your gp if its bothering you.

Got ds's injections tomorrow, bit nervous how it will be, and how he will be after. Any tips?

nymphadora · 13/12/2010 16:43

Injections- have calpol on standby just in case & be ready to do comfort feed afterwards. Prepare for a rough night just in case.
We are waiting for rearrangement of dd3s

floozietoozie · 13/12/2010 16:52

Tiredfeet have calpol to hand in case of temperature in yhe hours following. If he's upset after feed him but I'm sure you'd do that anyway without being told!

Elsa I hope you are feeling a bit better now after dds accident. You poor thing. Sorry about the hip sling. Sad.

Ds is still ill, off his food, sleeping in the day and off nursery and crèche today. It's his Christmas shows at both tomorrow abd nursery again on Wed. I don't think he'll make tomorrow and am doubtful for wed at this rate. Oh well. hermya hope the sheep role goes well!

Dd has bn really unsettled today. Constant feeding/crying from 11 to 4 just about. Asleep in pram at the doctors now (not to see them as such, just get a repeat prescription for formula). Am knackered. Would like to post in feeding but don't have the energy! Haven't done a jot of Christmas shopping yet. Oh dear.

floozietoozie · 13/12/2010 16:54

Nymph - x post but what good advice Grin. Hope you start feelingbetter. xxx

nymphadora · 13/12/2010 17:49

Dd3 & dh just been playing peekaboo with the window. Blinds up,shout, blinds down, shout, blinds up, shout , blinds down shout, blinds up, shout, blinds down, cry Confused

HermyaTheRedNosedReindeer · 13/12/2010 18:44

Hun I have no idea, I'll dig it out and let you know.

Nymph Sorry about the work situation, it's all a bit crap at the moment isn't it. I was talking to some of my work colleges tonight and I was told that things were a bit dire there as well. A lot of the people who are helping at the mo are volunteers. Heaven knows what would happen without them.

Works do went well, DS was very well behaved and then woke up and was cooed over by all and sundry.

HermyaTheRedNosedReindeer · 13/12/2010 21:16

Hun I've dug the top out of the wash and had a look, it was from early days. But the label is so faded I expect it came in one of my ebay bundles or one of the boxes I was given when I was pregnant.

Tysonandthehouseelves86 · 13/12/2010 21:43

has anyone got a sophie la girafe teether toy? i want it for my sophie for xmas but its £13 and wondering if its worth it? :)

NoHunIntended · 13/12/2010 22:30

Thanks for looking, Hermya.

Tyson, we have a Sophie, it was a gift from a friend who swears by it - she has two children and used it with them. I haven't used it yet though so I can't personally vouch for it.

nymphadora · 14/12/2010 08:32

hermya think it's worse being off & feeling like you are missing the gossip at work. Is your job at risk? We are losing approx 10%

SilverSky · 14/12/2010 08:56

Tyson Ds got given a Sophie giraffe but again Ds not teething so not used it but it does look good !

SilverSky · 14/12/2010 08:57

H sorry about the work situ. It's shite. Pump them for as muh info as you can.

Tysonandthehouseelves86 · 14/12/2010 10:41

Thanks ill get her one today then Xmas Smile
