If it's any consolation, our good year came after 2years that sounded v similar to yours and your dh. I hope this jan and his new job is the start of a very very good new year for you as it was for us!

Ilgh dd is 13lb so she really shouldn't fit into newborn still.
We also had a year of new things last year: new jobs for me and dh, new house and new baby. All I want is for nothing to happen this year and we can just relax and enjoy dd.

Seashells - need to get a job first but yes that our hope too. He's doing jobs today & has a few to apply for. He's still looking at'fun jobs (stuff related to interests/hobbies) but if nothing comes of them he will have to go for boring but pays stuff!

Sam12- dd3 is similar weight but in 3-6m! Think she is long as she is same length as her 'friend' who is 4 weeks older. No idea how she can be though as dh & I are both short arses

Oh dear nymph dd must definitely be a short arse then! I am but dh isn't although he was as a kid.

Lentils + breastfeeding = windy baby?

Big fat OOOPS, Pil gave DD a toy for 3 mths plus as she is now 3 months old. I thought I'd sterilise it in boiling water, forgot about it, it's plastic, it's melted!!! I have hidden it in my bag and hope to find a replacement while no one is looking!!!!

Time Oh dear, what was it?

Nymph I'm not sure, sometimes stuff I eat doesn't react well with DS. I can't really eat parmesan, his nappies stink to high heaven and back if I do.

I've been on the sofa for the past two hours feeding DS. Oh my gosh, I can't believe it, he's been attached to my boobs like some sort of limpet all day.

Well I survived. Not the best day of my life as dp's still not well so didn't exactly get reprieve on the childcare front plus he had to go out to take stuff to the room where I'm having a party tonight [mad emoticon please] at tea time so I had to make tea while dealing with dd too and it ended up being so late that ds fell asleep after a few mouthfuls. He's not very well tho sp that had something to so woth it. Of course he then woke up a dew hours later and was up till midnight... And woke at seven. Factor in feedin dd in night and one very exhausted birthday girl here. At least I didn't need to do nursery run because ds wasn't well enough to go although he didn't much act like it until be fell asleep this afternoon!

So of course h won't sleep tonight and I'm just hoping the babysitter will be ok with him. It's his old key worker from crèche and she's lovely and very good with him but still she's never babysat for us before. His cousin will be here too. I'm in two minds about whether or not to take dd with me to pub then get someone to bring her home when she falls asleep.

Maybe just see what happens floozie, if it doesn't work out it's always an excuse to try again tbh I find if you big something up it's more likely to disappoint so start expecting a crap night then it will be good

Time - anything we can help hunt for?

Dh has an interview next week. He said the woman thought he lived too far away (30mins) and might be too old as it's v physical. It's not what I'd class as excessively physical but he has agreed to see what it's like. He's interested in it & it's Money & a bit of training so it would be fine for now & can top up if needed.

Just been doing property porn on right move. Was there someone on here that lived in Bath? Two houses on the Royal Crescent. just need 3-4 million...

DH has been out tonight so I took advantage and watched the last Star Trek movie , I did enjoy it. DS did disturb me a few times, but I think it's actually been the first time I've actually sat down and watched a film in it's entirity for quite some time.

Nohun I'm packing away all DS's 0 - 3 stuff tomorrow. Our little babies are growing up!!

I love trawling property sites! I've actually found this stunning property that we could afford in a couple of years, if we left here (London) and moved to Scotland - it's a bit out of the way for work though, so unless DH managed to work from home, or we won the Lottery, it's probably a no go - plus I doubt it will still be for sale in two years!, but it's nice to dream! DH is Scottish, so a move there isn't out of the question!

Hermya, I know - so so fast! And his eyelashes are growing so long too, so amazing to see the change. He's still barely got any hair on his head though, bless him! :)

I have finally started using reusable nappies and I am soooo impressed with them. It took me so long to get round to it and I'm now annoyed with myself for waiting as they are so easy to use and seem to be more effective than disposables (and cuter!). Anyone got a favourite make? I only have a few at present, and want to try some more! (So far, bumgenius, flip and tots bots).

Got baby sign tomorrow but I can't remember when, its only a week since we last went I am dreading ringing to ask, its been on for several weeks now so I will sound quite stupid!

Tired- bit cheeky but how do you find baby sign? Do you pay be week or term? And is it busy? Dh/I wondering about doing it in our area but not sure whether people can still afford stuff like that. We are both signers so it's automatic to us & it made a huge difference to dd2 as she had problems with communication.
