Timeforabrew My wrists are fine now, just glad sophie is ok. I bloody tripped up over my ds's buggyboard that my mum had put on the bottom step!

Nymph Lovely about your Dd looking at the giraffe. I would love to take my kids to the zoo but my heap of poo of a car is still broke! What zoo did you go to?

HermyaLovesLysander · 23/01/2011 18:38

Tyson Glad your wrists are ok now.

Nymph Awww bless!

DS has just rolled over!! I'm so excited!! Grin

Tysonandthehouseelves86 · 23/01/2011 19:07

Oooh Hermya how brilliant bless him :)

nymphadora · 23/01/2011 19:25

South lakes animal park. Free until half term, kids free til Easter so taking advantage. Was heaving though.

Well done Hermyas DS :)

TimeForABrew · 23/01/2011 22:00

Aaaw hermya that's fab!

Elsa123 · 24/01/2011 18:23

Well done to your DS Hermya you were right that he was building up to it!

I hope your wrists are feeling ok Tyson I empathise and I'm so pleased Sophie was ok.

TimeForABrew · 24/01/2011 20:39

Oh dear, not a good day, DH cut DDs nails this morning, but she moved her thumb and a chunk of skin got removed instead, much screaming, poor little lamb.

Then at bath time, she knocked her head on the side of the bath, much screaming. Feel awful, but now she is gurgling and cooing sweetly (and lifted her head during tummy time!).

tiredfeet · 24/01/2011 21:06

Poor dd time and poor you its horrible seeing them upset! I hate cutting ds's nails.

We are heading south after a couple of days with family, ds has been fussing on and off, stopped at three service stations in a row now, fingers crossed he will sleep for a bit now! The journey north went brilliantly at least so I guess its not the end of the world if this journeys a bit worse. Am sat in the back with a bag full of chocolate, not sure there'll be much left by the end of the journey Grin.

Well done to ds hermya!

A friend gave me a copy the weaning article the papers were discussing, the original one in the bmj that the papers all got the story from. It has made me feel much more comfortable about starting weaning at 4 months. But now its just the emotional hurdle to get over, I'm excited to see ds try food but at the same time I think a little bit of me will be sad when he's not exclusively fed by me!

nymphadora · 24/01/2011 21:19

Don't cut nails, i bite them after a traumatic incident with dd1&nailclippers (PFB!!!)

Got to phone dd3 jabs tomorrow to see if they can fit her in. Putting it here in thehope I remember !!!

BionicEar · 24/01/2011 21:43

Hello ladies,

Long time, no see! Smile

Life just seem to have taken over and barely get time to surf online these days!

David is almost 13 weeks now - yikes! He tend to be a happy chappy in the day but can get very grumpy and screams a lot in the evening. Am wondering if he is now beginning to teeth as forever chomping on hands and dribbling, and only seem to be happy when he's hanging off me! Grin

His twitching has but all gone - yay!

Had a quick nosy at all your recent posts - look like you're all just as busy with your little ones.

I will try to make more effort to pop in and chat, but it depend on how loud the little man is screaming for me.

Gave him a bottle (expressed bmilk) this weekend to see if he would take it - he took to it like it was 2nd nature. So it may mean I can venture out one eve with the girls into town by myself - yay!

Righ best go and sort out the mountain of washing... seems to grow daily never dwidles!

Elsa123 · 24/01/2011 22:09

Hi Bionic! long time no see. I'm glad your LO is doing so well. I think dribbling and hand chomping is par for the course at this age. Its the next step towards hands totally going into mouth!

The kid won't sleep...........wide awake.....

ILoveGregoryHouse · 25/01/2011 00:57

Hi. Feeding dd and catching up. Off to docs tomorrow to talk about her reflux. Thought we'd got away with it but no, she's a chucker like her brothers. Don't think i can get infant gaviscon here though so need to find out if a prescription written here will work in the uk so dh can get gaviscon when he flies back next week (again, grrr).

Otherwise, all well.

Sorry about your wrist tyson but glad sophie's okay. Re dd nails, we bite them too, no clippers, too hazardous!

Elsa123 · 25/01/2011 08:40

Sorry to hear about the reflux ILGH. DD hates being on her back and chucks every time so I think she may have a mild case of it, but the Amby Nest helps as she's never sick when she's in it.

I couldn't bite nails, I'd worry about ripping a nail to the quick or something!

DD finally went to sleep at midnight. She's learnt how to blow raspberries recently so thats the new thing!

nymphadora · 25/01/2011 09:42

Got dd3 a injection appt for next week. Only 9 weeks late !!!

sam12 · 25/01/2011 09:54

elsa blowing raspberries is dd's new trick as well. It's very cute but causes lots of dribbles and wet clothes!!
Glad everything is going ok bionic
I can't wait to see dd try food tired think we are going to venture to ikea for a high chair this week. It's a bit early yet but dh is finishing work early this week so gives us a chance to go.
Glad you have got an appointment nymph
Dd's sleep has gone to pot. She had got down to just one feed in the night and now she is waking two or three times and taking ages to settle. I'm so tired

nymphadora · 25/01/2011 10:30

We're doing the sleep thing too. She is milk obsessive. Two big feeds in the night. Woke to being yelled at from dh knee (nyam nyam nyam) and another big feed. Which she the. Threw up. Now been on settee for an hour!

SeaShellsDreamingOfSummer · 25/01/2011 11:42

Sleep regression here too. Exhausted. It's like she Read the text book or something.

nymphadora · 25/01/2011 13:27

Dd3 isn't sleeping badly just ravenous! Back on settee now. Last feed finished after 11 & have played witha bottle in between.it's like newborn feeding as she isn't interacting while she feeds. Just glugging!

SeaShellsDreamingOfSummer · 25/01/2011 13:42

Yup, we've gone from one feed at night to 3 plus Ds waking alot.

I'm ill now too so having sense of humor failure!!

LadyHermyaDeTamble · 25/01/2011 15:22

Oh I am glad everyone else is going through this we were up three times last night after him sleeping through previously.

DS has also had second lot of jabs today, joy of joys!!!

SeaShellsDreamingOfSummer · 25/01/2011 15:25

Ooooh what the nc in honour of Hermya? I like it muchly :)

nymphadora · 25/01/2011 15:27

Back on settee again. Had an hour respite to do washing. She started shouting at dh until I came back 'nyam nyam nyam'

LadyHermyaDeTamble · 25/01/2011 15:30

seashells It was in hounour of this thread. I do love a good period drama. Grin.

SeaShellsDreamingOfSummer · 25/01/2011 16:11

LadyHermyaDeTamble · 25/01/2011 17:25

Seashells I watched 'Much Ado about Nothing' when I was in the birthing pool. I've told DH that next time we're bringing the laptop or a portable DVD player.
