Dandy, it was Livepress I think. I can't remember my login details though! Definitely want to hear all about it though.

Bookmarking for a proper read later as on a quick skim I can see there is lots going on with everyone. So when dh is watching the football later I will try to catch up.

I will be back.

Love to you all until then. Mwah mwah.

smokeybacon · 16/01/2011 17:07

ok. Here goes. I apologise in advance if I miss anyone. SO much has happened.

belgina Firstly congrats on your BFP. Thats fantastic news. And also your house. Yay!! But also Sad at your cousin and your poor aunt. That must have been awful. My sympathies to you and your familiy.

ses Truly tragic for your DH's family. Words frankly fail me. I am so sorry.

flip congrats on your BFP too and I hope the scan puts your mind at rest. Take it easy now (that goes for you to belgina!)

dandy good to see you back and so glad you had a fantastic trip. I'm sure it feels the same to you but it seems to have gone in the blink of an eye.

cupboard awwww hugs to you. I am sure you will come to know what you want to do. It must say something that you and your DH still love each other. Chin up.

pula I also have a ton of OPKs and pg tests that I got on ebay. Am wondering whether to put them back on as I am selling all my pg stuff at the moment.

momi sorry to hear your DH's interviews are not producing the goods. Am sure he will get something that fits the bill in time.Love H's red shoes BTW. SOmetimes I wish I had a girl......Wink

But on that note omnom a boy!!! Fab. I am listening to DS1 and 2 chase each other around the ground floor giggling. Its lovely. A house full of boys will be fun. Noisy. But fun.

Ooops. Just heard a thud and now there are tears........

llare so exciting about your new career move. Not long now. And am still impressed at your fitness regime. And yay for your better nights from G.

So, all ok here. Am shattered. But to be expected I guess! Twins are up and down with their night times. One night they will wake at 4am after feeding at 10.30pm. The next they are awake all night with their stuffy noses. Nothing I can do about that that I am not already doing.

We are speaking to our prospective nanny this week. I think I am going to offer her a couple of short days at the moment (which fits in with her needs). How much should I pay her?? We are prob going to do a trial run of a month so do that cash in hand. I am thinking in the region of £8 per hour. Do you think that sounds ok? We know her reasonably well as she was DS1s key worker at nursery for the 4 years he was there.

Anyway, better go and tend to the roast.

I am so sorry if I have missed anyone out of the NC. I always feel guilty at the NC posts as I just can't remember everything.

runningmonkey · 16/01/2011 19:04

Hello all, just a quick bookmark, hope to make it in for a proper read and nc tomorrow. Hope everyone is ok.

pulapula · 16/01/2011 20:07

Hello running- how is A doing in her big girl bed?

smokey - happy anniversary and glad you had a nice night out. Are the twins BF or FF? Hope you get a few more of the 10.30 to 4am nights and fewer snuffle snuffle awake all the time nights. Do they tend to wake at the same time and/or wake each other up too?

As for a nanny, would they be in sole charge of DS2 and DTs or would you be around most of the time? Also do you have to pay employers NICs on top of that? Not sure what the going rate is but we pay around £80 a day for DS2 and DS3 at nursery so if she is having 2 or more DCs to care for, then £8 an hour sounds about right. Trial run sounds like a good idea, for both of you Smile.

smokeybacon · 17/01/2011 07:38

The DTs are mixed fed. Tobias is better at the bf than Freddie so t gets more boob than f.

Re the nanny, at the mo I will be around most of the time and i will prob use her most for a) the witching hour if tea and bath time and b) the odd trip to the gym. Hopefully my mum can keep coming up when she does too. I think we are coping pretty well at the mo but aPart from the night times and the odd time when I have the dts and ds2 on my own, it's not as bad as I thought it would be

belgina · 17/01/2011 11:27

Hi everyone,

Just got back from my scan and feeling very Confused The scan showed only a yolk sack that's implanted. Which either means that it stopped developing and I'll miscarry soon or that I had my dates wrong somehow. But it's still odd to get a BFP 2 weeks after my AF. I've still got my symptoms, but they've always been mild so far, which I found a bit worrying. So my scan didn't reassure me, but just brought more questions. I've got to go back in 2 weeks for a rescan.

.dandy looking forward to your blog style travel journal :)

smokey good luck with the nanny. With 4 young ones you do need some help I can imagine.

cupboard how are things? Feeling better? Never apologise for coming on here to off load!!

flippin how are you feeling?

Sorry not to nc everyone. Am on phone and can't go back to previous page and am struggling to remember everything.

llareggub · 17/01/2011 12:29

Belgina, that happened to me with ds2 and it was a very worrying time. Turns out I had my dates wrong and of course conception can take up to five days anyway . Sending lots of good vibes your way x

belgina · 17/01/2011 12:37

Thanks llare

I stupidly did another test. It's still positive, but a lot lighter... Are my hcg levels getting less? What's going on? I'm now slowly becoming more and more convinced it'll end badly :(

flippineck · 17/01/2011 13:29

belgina - hope it all works out for you, hugs. Thinking of you.

I'm ok, thanks - it's my appointment tomorrow morning. The backache seems to have eased off a bit today, but then so does the nausea! I hate this bit.

We've had a minor miracle - A has slept through four nights running now! She's waking at about 5:45 and not going back to sleep, but at least she's not up for hours in the night.

belgina sorry it was confusing news for you. Have a hug and fingers and toes crossed are for you.

flip yay for A :) Hope tomorrow goes ok too.

smokey impressive nc :) Happy anniversary for yesterday. No experience re the nanny I'm afraid but we pay £4.50 per hour for our CM so I reckon £8 sounds about right for more children, etc.

cupboard again, no apologies needed from you. Hope you are doing ok today.

dandy sorry didn't see your question on FB or I would have replied. I know my DH always recommends Wordpress as a blog tool as its pretty straightforward to use but not sure if you can make it private or not. Loving the photo identification story btw - never knew that FB did that!

pula thanks for asking about A's adventures in the big girl bed! So far so good - we've had to go in a few times as she's kicked off the duvet (last week there was a 4am wail of 'Need a jumper Mummy'!). She can climb in and out ok but once tucked in she hasn't worked out that she can get out until we've gone in in the morning :o Long may that continue!

Hiya ses and momi sounds like you had a lovely meet up in York

Hello to everyone else too :)

Well it looks like I've definitely got gestational diabetes with a ++ glucose in my sample this morning but have to wait 4 weeks for the full on glucose tolerance test. Got the beginnings of what seems like SPD too so have a physio referral as well to look forward to.

Oh, that's A awake for the afternoon, off to the supermarket for us. What fun!

:o I know, I thought of llare's impressive skills when the mw said it was likely! Unfortunately I think I've already stuffed the healthy pregnancy this time given the only way I found to ward off nausea was to eat!

For some reason I read your sentence about cancelling the credit card meaning your period will turn up. Just don't wee on it when you find it :o
