Smile

Too much pressure and too little thread space left me with but one choice so here we are. Let's discuss further the private space because quite honestly the "private" space is not so "private" at the moment. I'm no detective BUT there's only a handful of threads over there and all are beckoning me to read through them. For the moment we are safer here. Like a new model car, we should wait and let the kinks be worked out by the folks that can't WAIT to be part of the "new thing."Smile

Sazz does it have to be oak painted? there is apine version here

CrispyTheCrisp · 28/09/2010 21:54

They are expensive, but if solid oak then i would be willing to pay that. However, nowhere does it say they actually are Hmm

I would rather have solid stuff hots as i am SURE the DD's will be able to trash stuff if it is trashable

Think i will phone both companies who sell these and haggle hard

Fab news on new friend hots Smile. I think parents are more as nervous as their DC's about making new school friends Grin

hotterpotter · 28/09/2010 22:00

I won't post a link to my stuff then Grin

CrispyTheCrisp · 28/09/2010 22:02
Grin
hotterpotter · 28/09/2010 22:04

I would like to think it is solid oak at that price, DD's wardrobe is solid pine and was £75 [cheapskate]Grin

GladioliBuckets · 28/09/2010 22:07

Springalinga Excellent work there on the BFP frontGrinGrinGrin.

Oh boo to horrid horrid toxic family membersSad.

LOTI Good work impressing that director - so you basically got offered the job? You should be really proud of yourself.

Hots DS1 went into a midisleeper (1m high)at 3 and TBH I would be happy putting K down in it if necessary - the ladder is at a slant and he's surprisingly sensible/cautious.

Have canxd DD to DS1's new karate club already because... got a flier for one at DD's school that is half the price for twice the time!Shock And most Shock of all, DD says she would like to give it a tryShockShockShock - could be the answer to all my prayers .

dizzydixies · 28/09/2010 22:33

Oh Buckets - fingers crossed......

pertelote · 28/09/2010 22:41

Hurrah for the joys of Spring! GrinGrin

Who asked? DD is still in her cot as I failed to be organised enough to take the excellent advice offered by Oops, Crispy et al and order a bed for moving day Blush It'll do until I get round to it. I did manage to introduce a wakey-uppy clock and a pillow - quilt has been firmly rejected every night despite meeting the stated requirement of having frogs on Hmm (PFB much...?!) Living room and kitchen now free of boxes, other rooms - not so much.

What else? Cyteen you look amazing!

Eeek I hear stirring. Gotta go.

TwilightSurfer · 29/09/2010 01:38

Captain no harm. ((hug))

HP sorry that doesn't make me feel any better. In yours and Crispers cases YOU DID NOT KNOW the other person. The cousin in my case knows us all to well and has spent PLENTY of time with us and DD1, long enough to realize the she chose is almost identical!Angry

Had a rant but will save it cause I still to mad to type it.

Cyteen as I expected, you looked marvelous.

OP posts:
springaporesling · 29/09/2010 03:34

Cyteen the picture is lovely - can't wait to see some more.

Cece Lol and well done on another win - you certainly seem to be on a winning streak

Pert glad you are getting there with the unpacking.

TS rant away.

DS decided to be awake for about 3 hours in the middle of the night. Obviously his way of trying to put us off the idea of him having a sibling.

lol vg it did my head in Grin but the look of happiness and excitement on dd2 face was worth every second Grin.. they focus alot on listening skills and i was amazed when they were told to stop she did!! She put her finger to her lips and said shhhhh .. bless her GrinGrinGrin..

TS i am the queen of ranting so please please please rant..

Right have to rouse dd1 from her sleeping pit.. that kid sleep is just all over the place!!!

oopsandbabycoconuts · 29/09/2010 08:01

Put out coffee, tea, OJ and assorted pastries (grapefruit and shreddies for HotMamas)

Sorry for those with disturbed sleep.

DH and D2 stil sleeping DD2 awake at 7 so not too bad.

DD2 is supposedto have her last jabs today but has a horrid cough so not sure if she should have them or not.

LOTI - what was up with H?

tweakers · 29/09/2010 08:44

oh my dear goodness... VG, if you think the tv presenter stylee is bad, don't click on their website! or if you do, turn your volume down first!!

link here for anyone brave enough!

oopsandbabycoconuts · 29/09/2010 09:33

Am having a raaahh over OU exams atm I am due to take n exam on the 14th I asked for a venue where I could take DD2 and MIL/Mum and feed her if needed during the exam - refused! The say express and bottle or formula - expressing isn't working this time and my frozen milk goes revoltingly fish and tastes off. Hve been advised by allergy guy to on BF/expressed BM because of allergies. SO I m stuck with losing my £500 course because they are being unfair. There is another exam in May when DD2 will be 1 and can be left but they won't let me take it then. I am more than likely being a hormoanal mess due to the tyroid drugs but I have never left DD for more than 20 mins at the most and that was with DH.

QueenofDreams · 29/09/2010 10:58

oh ffs S is being such a fecking misery! been trying to give him breakfast for ages but he's refusing everything I offer a nd wailing his head off. I really can't take much more of this. He's just crying and crying and crying and I'm CONVINCED it's because of hunger but he won't bloody EAT anything.

TwilightSurfer · 29/09/2010 11:48

Queen will he let you sit and hold him? Rub is back a little. Has he had a good poo recently? Could be constipated. Are his molars coming in? Reese didn't eat much at all the week her 2yr molars broke skin. (((hug)))

I did the play gym thing with dd1 for over a year every week like clockwork. I tried it with dd2 and only made it through 2 classes. My age finally took over.Grin To be honest, dd2 was less interested.

R slept with us last night. She seem very disturbed at bedtime. When I put her beside me she patted me on the head like "good mommy". She woke a few times crying. I woke a few times with tummy aches. I think it was the eggs we had for dinner. Sometimes eggs do that to me. I guess R is just like her mommy.Smile

Lucky would your row with H have anything to do with the CM/SIL/Wedding issue? ((hug))

I will rant eventually.

OP posts:
QueenofDreams · 29/09/2010 12:04

TS I think poo was the issue. He did some straining and looking very uncomfortable and is now smelly. Asked if he wanted me to clean his bottom and he said 'no' Hmm Argh going to get a cup of tea and try and wind down a bit.

GladioliBuckets · 29/09/2010 12:11

QOD Tried just dry cereal and raisins in a bowl? Or crumbled crackers mixed with grated carrot and cheese and raisins to eat with a spoon.

Oops How long is the exam? Could you take them along anyway, give her a big feed just before, waking her if necessary, and hand her over to mum/mil? Maybe hand express into a bottle and let your mum squirt it in with a syringe in an emergency? You could always walk out if you can't handle the separation but you'll never know til you try. But 'm willing to bet DD2 will handle it better!Grin

Having a lovely lazy morning with K, recuperating, knitting, watching CBeebies. Just finished an excellent book called Bel Canto by Anne Patchett - recommended.

TwilightSurfer · 29/09/2010 17:57

Do I look more relaxed? Grin What a blessing a one hour massage is! Great therapist too. It was like chatting with an old girl friend, only he's a guy. We had a good chat about my cycles because I mentioned my hot flashes that I've had since I was 26 (but not while pregnant). That along with my heavy AFs means I need my YIN boosted. Will have to Google that later. Ya'll tell me it's strange to chat about AFs with a guy you've never met before. LOL!Hmm Okay it wasn't completely strange to chat about it but it was strange that he seemed to have a clue about what was happening. LOL!!!!!Grin

Sorry no more to report other than R got mad that I drove in the OPPOSITE direction of Dunkin Donuts a few minutes ago. She started yelling, "NO MOMMY! CHOCOLATE!!" repeat repeat repeatHmm

OP posts:
TwilightSurfer · 29/09/2010 19:23

Google research complete: I am Yin deficient sitting on a fence between Empty Heat and Full Heat. Hmm Good to know!

OP posts:
tweakers · 29/09/2010 19:24

you do seem to like those splinters up your bum Wink

pertelote · 29/09/2010 21:21

Oops until I had DD I was student complaints bod at our place and I'd say you had a cast iron case there. If you're prevented from taking the exam because you're BFing (in the way that suits YOU - how dare they tell you to express!) that is discrimination. FB me if I can help.

CrispyTheCrisp · 29/09/2010 21:41

Evening Smile. Busy but good day here.

QoD will S fill up on milk when unhappy? DD2 is cutting an incisor and her molars and food is very hit and miss, either masses or nothing, but her milk intake is very high. Hope he has been calmer

oops glad Pert has offered concrete advice. I would have thought that they would be on extrememly dodgy ground trying to tell you how you must feed your BF baby Angry. How long is the exam for BTW? Do you think she could last if she were out for a walk/sleeping in the buggy etc?

PMSL @ ToddlerTS, a lady who knows her mind. I wonder where she gets that from? Wink

Buckets sounds very relaxing afternoon Envy. How is your work and CM going?

oopsandbabycoconuts · 29/09/2010 21:48

Evening :)

Exam is 4 hours with an hour commute either direction. She is feeding every 1.5 hours to 2 hours during the day and then sleeps through from 7-8. I tried to get her ot go 3 hours the other day and caved at 2hours 15!

Pert - I will FB you in the morning. I might need some help with wording. Thank you.

I have just made some delicious blackberry cakes they all have some mushed blackberries in the middle and I used the juice to make the icing.

TS - I too would yell if you drove away from Dunkin donuts.
