Smile

Too much pressure and too little thread space left me with but one choice so here we are. Let's discuss further the private space because quite honestly the "private" space is not so "private" at the moment. I'm no detective BUT there's only a handful of threads over there and all are beckoning me to read through them. For the moment we are safer here. Like a new model car, we should wait and let the kinks be worked out by the folks that can't WAIT to be part of the "new thing."Smile

Hooray! MOAR BABIES :)

TwilightSurfer · 28/09/2010 14:00

Let's hope it's MORE babies because I'm not sure we could handle "MOAR". LOL!

Woo woo Spring SmileSmile

With DD1 i was pg and didn't know. Went to my niece's 5th birthday party and spent the whole time jumping up and down on the bouncy castle with her friends, and then had a few glasses of wine in the evening to celebrate with my sister. Oops Grin

oops i think you are right to just avoid stuff with this lady for the time being. I really hope she doesn't pass anything back to your 'ex' family

hots we had to have low bunk beds as you may (or may not) remember that our ceilings downstairs are only 2m. This means the girls cannot jump up and down on the top bunk as no headroom. DD2 sleeps on the bottom and DD1 is still in her room as they won't share Hmm. DD2 despite being a prolific climber cannot actually get up the top yet, but i imagine Thor may see it as the ultimate challenge Grin. Headroom on the bottom not huge, but ok

QoD glad leccy company are seeing a bit of sense finally. If you have the fight in you then take them to the ombudsman. I took the Halifax to the ombudsman over the sale of my flat and had 2 out of 6 counts upheld for financial loss and he agreed with the other 4 but no financial loss attributed. I didn't get massive compensation, but it pleased me that they had to go to SO much effort to defend it, looking out papers etc at HO/branch etc, whereas i had mine to hand so easier for me IYSWIM?

Best go do some work before picking littlecrisp up...

QueenofDreams · 28/09/2010 14:31

yaaay spring congratulations! I was just pregnant with S at Christmas 07. I drank a lot - he is fine. It happens to an awful lot of people.

crisp we're tempted to just leave it and swallow the bitter pill. But have just had a phone call from Consumer Direct's serious complaints department so it looks like someone besides us feels that this is a genuine problem. So they are now emailing a complaint to the company!

cyteen · 28/09/2010 14:49

I've tagged a wedding picture on fb if anyone wants to see...it should be visible to my friends now (I think?)

CrispyTheCrisp · 28/09/2010 15:00

luckoftheirish · 28/09/2010 18:36

Stunning Cyteen Smile...

went to a new class with dd2 today gymbories.. she absolutely loved it Grin and took her to nursery time today too.. feel like a very good mummy today Grin

tweakers · 28/09/2010 19:52

that's really cool loti, i keep meaning to find out if there's a gym thing near us for DS so you've inspired me to google now Smile

CrispyTheCrisp · 28/09/2010 20:07

Ah, just lovely cyteen. You both look REALLY relaxed and like you are enjoying every minute Smile

LOTI I think both mine would love a gym thing, but don't seem to have the time to commit every week to a class. Do you know if they have drop in ones you can just pitch up at? (space allowing obv?).
Well done on a good day BTW - mine have been farmed out all day to CM and preschool. I have achieved getting 'stuff' done, including finally setting up a new personal pension scheme

Just had baked ham, new pots & cauli cheese for tea (yum), DH has a beef bourgionne (sp?) in the oven for dinner tomorrow night and we have 2 soups (lentil, tomato & bacon and pea and ham) on for our lunch visitors tomorrow. Just the 2 baskets of laundry to put away and i may be somewhere near caught up with myself Confused

hotterpotter · 28/09/2010 20:29

Hurrah for your picture cyteen, you look lovely Smile

Just off to do my exercises but just wanted to tell TS something to make her feel a bit better about cousin naming their DC a very similar name to your DD1. Been speaking to sil today; apparently the little baby that her sil had last month and we thought was called Betty, turns out that Betty is the nickname, but not short for Elizabeth like you might expect - no, she is actually called my DD's name Shock so my sil has two nieces and they are both called T Shock. Apparently the new mum was mortified when she realised, I just think it's funny Grin After all it's a great name Smile

oopsandbabycoconuts · 28/09/2010 20:30

Cyteen - you look absolutely stunning.

DD's in bed, I made Nasi Goreng for DH and I had plain old stirfry. I also madethe most stunning loaf of bread today soft with a yummy crust, it is waiting to be pudding with homemade lemon curd on it.

Loti - DD1 would love gymboree but there are no classes near us.

CrispyTheCrisp · 28/09/2010 20:41

hots I can beat you on that one Grin. My SIL has two nieces with the same first AND second name LOL. We were the second to name Blush. In my defence i didn't know

Mmmmmm Nasi Goreng Envy

CaptainCaveman · 28/09/2010 20:44

cyteen you look utterly stunningly gorgeous Smile, congratulations MRSCyteen

tweakers your bro is a knob (but then you know that anyway!) I am lolling at the thought of your ds and his 'mr kipling eyes' (he does have exceedingly beautiful eyes) Grin

VG O is still in a cot. Debating a bed but don't see the need just yet as he can't climb out of said cot

oops you sound like you have the child carer dilemma sussed? I am envious of your culinary genius though!

loti good news re them wanting you for the job! Hope there is a vacancy when the time is right.

spring Grin fab news!!

dizz/sazz/qod watcha (sorry to anyone i missed there, nothing personal!)

CaptainCaveman · 28/09/2010 20:51

hotpot how could I miss you off!!! Blush Can you forgive me? Sad Grin

CaptainCaveman · 28/09/2010 20:52

Shit TS I missed you too Blush Blush. Can you forgive me? Sad Grin

hotterpotter · 28/09/2010 21:26

Of course cece Smile, must be that victory that's gone to your head Wink

You win crispy Grin does your sil have lots of far-flung nieces and nephews to give you the excuse? My sil's sil knew all about T but she just forgot in the post-birth haze (or she never listens to anything my sil says...) Thanks for the info re bunk beds. We have decided to go with the taller ones as Thor doesn't need any encouragement to bang his head on stuff Hmm I don't remember your house at all actually, you'd better invite me back for another look Wink

oops I have no idea what Nasi Goreng is but your bread sounds yummy. Am back on a health kick for the next few days weeks months but would kill for some fresh bread toasted, left to go cold then lathered with lurpak and smartprice marmalade

CrispyTheCrisp · 28/09/2010 21:28

PMSL cece Grin

I am trying to find a wardrobe and chest of drawers for DD2's room. I would have got the same drawers as DD1 has and a matching wardrobe but M&S the feckers have stopped selling the drawers Angry

So, i have found this wardrobe and this chest of drawers. I can get the wardrobe for £20 less, but it is still ££££££££. Anyone seen anything similar but cheaper?

hotterpotter · 28/09/2010 21:32

Ooh and I have sort of made my first new friend at the school gate today, hurrah! we went to the park on the way home from school and one of DD's friends came in about 5 minutes after us with her mum and 2 other DC. They played and we chatted for for about 40 minutes, was really nice.

hotterpotter · 28/09/2010 21:37

Ouch crispy, they are v nice but fecking expensive Shock Maybe too far in the other direction but we have got some similar drawers from argos which come unstained to paint if you want but they are only pine. Do you deffo want oak?
