Fake boob - like from meet the Fockers? LOL

Thank you Miss J, that would be nice, do you know any eligible males? About age 35? Wink Kidding not ready yet at all.

Yes camping, leave today after DD finishes pre school, so I need to spend this morning cleaning and packing. Does anyone else like the place clean for when they come back? Or am I odd?

DOG - I used a McTimoney Chiropractor and she also did cranial as well. It made a huge difference to both my DCs, so go for it, book it in Smile

Hope the GP Lenni can help and you get better soon. Hope 120 is also feeling better today. I went to bed at 7.30pm so feeling better today although my head still feels odd. I've had a sinus headache off and on for a week now.

Chef - I didn't realise the second pic was removed after my comment. Were they trying to confuse who it could be by doing that? You know in your privacy settings you can customise it so that certain friends do not see wall posts, status updates etc? I've done that with my PIL. Maybe you could do that Grin

So time to get off MN and start packing for Swanage Blush Apologies for any typos as I'm typing fast as I really ought to go. Oops Blush

Hi Moose and Tink, missJ, books, 120, ray and all.

moosemama · 17/09/2010 14:09

Hi all

Still haven't read properly - may have to just give up.

I did notivce that Lenni is still having visual disturbances though. It could be oculare migraine Lenni. You get the eye disturbance but not the blinding headache. They tend to not last as long as normal migraines, but I have known people that have them in clusters, so you would have seemingly regular intermittent symptoms, which might explain what's been happening with you. Some infor here.

That's about all I've got today folks, sorry - I know I'm being crap on here at the moment.

Had another mare of a day. Dd was awake much of the night, couldn't get comfortable and then seemed to be in pain in the wee small hours again. So I've hardly had a wink of sleep.

Also, pretty p'd off that we ended up missing our first Autism Support Group meeting last night as dd was unhappy about the cast, dh had a really bad head and I was completely knackered. It was at our ds's school this time as well and the speakers at the next 3 meetings aren't really relevant to us, as well as the meetings being further away. Hmm

Got ready, thought I'd done really well and thought of everything we would need for another marathon hospital visit (bearing in mind I spent four and half hours there last time I went to the same fracture clinic). Ds1 had his little backpack with books and puzzles et, dd had her little backpack with a few toys, some crayons and a mini colouring book, Mum brought everyone sandwiches and water and I packed drinks and snacky stuff. So, off we went in the car, hardly started up the road when ds started saying he felt travel sick, I was stressed and gave him short shrift, but he kept on and on. Turned round to see him and he said he was hot and sweaty and had salty saliva Shock uh - oh! Managed to get to the hospital and get him out the car, thinking he would be ok if he had some fresh air. He regularly gets travel sickness, so I wasn't that surprised and frankly was just grateful he wasn't sick over the back of Mum's head in the car! Grin

Started walking to the fracture clinic with ds whining that he felt ill, his legs were wobbly and he needed to sit down etc. I told him he would be fine after some nice deep breaths of fresh Birmingham City air and he'd feel better soon. Then he suddenly rooted himself to the spot, went several different shades of green and threw up copiously all across the pavement outside the main entrance - beautiful pink, red and purple sick! (He has strawberries and blueberries in his porridge this morning.)

It then became obvious that we weren't dealing with travel sickness and by then I was late for dd's appointment, so had to abandon him and Mum in the car park and leg it up the hill. I told Mum to take him home, but for some unknown reason she apparently decided in her wisdom to instead take him into the lobby - where there were huge signs saying if you have been sick or had diarrhea in the last 48 DO NOT ENTER THIS HOSPITAL!

Fortunately, dd's appointment was really quick. She was really good with the lady putting her plaster on and only did the odd whimper rather than all the screaming we had yesterday. So we were in and out inside of an hour - which is unheard of of that place.

Came out to find Mum and ds1 still sitting in the lobby and was told she had called dh out of work to come and fetch ds.

Called ds, who had had a row with his boss about whether or not he could come out, but was just leaving the building anyway - and told him not to bother.

Anyway, we are home now, ds is tucked up in bed, dd is not having a nap Hmm and I have just had a very welcome cup of coffee and bar of dairy milk.

I have had it, this week has been dire from start to finish. Can't wait for the weekend so I can hand over to dh and collapse.

Hope everyone else is having a better time of it. Am off to order a couple of tops for dd that we can easily get on and off over her cast, as I spent half and hour perusing her wardrobe and drawing blank this morning.

treedelivery · 17/09/2010 14:22

Vests? Lots of vests.

Oh love....nightmare!! Poor dh and the boss argument too. Poo to the boss.

Poor dd. Mine was the same until she accepted the huge thing on her leg, and I guess the swelling and pain went down too. Then she was ok.

Wouldn't worry too much about the lobby of the hospital thingie, place is full of lurgy anyway.
Great news that the appointment was quick. Each of ours was 3 hours, fro 5 mins of actual health professional contact. Actually a bit Envy of that bit Grin

Hope ds gets better real soon, such a bummer you missed that evening thing though. Do you know anyone who was attending? The speakers I mean? I think if you were to fnd them, and email them with your reason for wanting to be there and your reason for missing, they would be able to help. Maybe copy you their notes, or minutes etc.

Well done an surving the week (((hugs)))

moosemama · 17/09/2010 16:45

Thanks Tree. They'd hosed the place down by the time I came out of dd's appointment - very efficient.

Ds1 is now cooking up a storm. He's all clammy, very weak and tearful - looks like we are in for a great weekend. Hmm

Dd fell asleep just before I went to fetch ds2, then started really crying in her sleep, woke herself up and was inconsolable. Ended up with a little spider monkey baby clinging to my front sobbing her heart out at the same time as I could hear ds1 sobbing over the monitor. Talk about torn in two. Have given dd some calpol and ds1 some calprofen (he always brings calpol straight back). Dd is now happily playing with her new little dolls house and car and I am hoping ds1 will sleep.

On a more positive note. Things have started shifting in ds2's department. Which would be a good thing if it wasn't so smelly and he didn't find it so funny. Hmm Shock and Grin all at once! He still can't each much though - brought his lunch home with him and refused his after school snack.

Dd is also refusing ot eat and drink, she has managed a couple of spoonfuls of porridge, 2 halves of a grape and the cheese out of 1/8th of a sandwich today and has only had the odd sip of water and pear juice. Really hoping she's not coming down with the stomach thing as well. She even refused a coconut macaroon - now that's extreme!

Ironically the lady I met at the wedding who has a recently dx autistic son did go to the support meeting. She's the wife of one of dh's ex colleagues/friends, so I should be able to get the gist from her via dh. You don't have to sign up or anything, just rock up to the meeting and introduce yourself, so fortunately we didn't have to send apologies or anything.

Have been looking at vests as she has outgrown the last lot of bodysuits she had and needs some more anyway. She also has some new sleepsuits that are rather funky and a little too big so the sleeves fit over the cast. Put her in one of those with the sleeve rolled up last night and that seemed to work well. Thought I'd pretty much keep her in those at home. We have one lovely blouson sleeved cardigan that fits beautifully over the cast as well, but I thought it might be a good excuse to buy a lovely poncho for her. Other than that, I reckon a couple of cap sleeved tshirts will do, as she can wear her pinafore's and dungarees with them for easy dressing and then wear the cardigan on top for warmth. If I wasn't so broke I'd use it as an excuse to do a huge clothes shop for her, but I really daren't at the moment.

tinkhasboughtoutalltheshops · 17/09/2010 18:09

oh poor you mm - you always seem to have all the bad luck

hope ds gets better soon

hi to everyone else

bought dd2s winter boots in clarks chose brown ones with owls on so cute Grin
she had abit of a melt down in shop though and woulndt walk in them Hmm

enjoyed friends in afternoon
just got dd1s boots to get otm morning Grin

120 · 17/09/2010 18:41

evening all.

DD has got new shoes that are pink trainers with flashing hearts. They were the only shoes that would fit her.. at 3 1/4 she is 10H!! DS is a slightly less shocking 4 1/2G, which I can cope with so he has slightly more normal shoes.

Thanks for all the nice comments, am still knocking back the cocodamol in the hope of the pain receding by the time they wear off.

We've had a lovely relaxing day here with play and lunch at a friends, and then afternoon in the park with snacks rounded off with fish and chips. have handed them over now for bath and stories.

120, what pain? I have missed so much over the past few days. Hope you are ok.

Thanks Tink, we do seem to live under a bit of a bad-luck cloud. Mum reckons if my life was a sitcom, everyone would say it was too far fetched!

missjackson · 17/09/2010 19:20

120 - one word - brownies.

I've put a pic of Nye's new bed on my profile (I think) and also on fb but only visible to you lot, I tried to remember everyone on fb but have probably left someone out, not on purpose I promise!

MM, thanks for the vivid description of DS puke! Hope he is feeling better soon. Poor kid.

Must hang out laundry and put shopping away, then hot bath with okay magazine, then will revisit the thread!

120 · 17/09/2010 19:51

Moose, it's AF pain. But similar to contractions in strength when it hits.

MJ am now on strict diet (she says, having had fish and chips for supper). Will be making some this weekend in fact. I have to make more of the date and tamarind chutney too, but it must wait until tomorrow's viewings, as it chutney is quite stinky to make.

Like the idea of a hot bath with a magazine, been ages since I've done that! I'm painting another butterfly tonight, a blue one.

Hi all.

Skim reading

moose Sounds like your having a rough time. Thinking of you all.

Not well here, got another sickness bug! :-( Lucky DD and DH seem to have got off lightly without it.

Will post again tomo.

moosemama · 17/09/2010 20:44

You are most welcome MissJ. Wink I was very impressed with ds's puke actually, never seen vomit in such a beautiful array of colours before - not a carrot in sight! Grin

120, sympathies. Mine used to be like that every month until I had ds1. Hope its easing now.

Rrrrayray, thanks. Sounds like you aren't faring much better. Hope you are feeling better soon.

chefswife · 18/09/2010 02:11

Moose Well, it can only get better I guess. Sorry.. just trying to keep it light. Its the weekend, so hand it over to DH and pour a big wine.

Lenni Me too with the flashy lights still. In fact, I've notice a difference in that it is last like flicker now and mostly on the right eye. Go figure. I've not had a migraine yet... not complaining about that though.

Hosted my first playdate today. Our house is teeny, so I never did before, but I put it out there and it all came back good. Managed, without a single hang-up, to get a banana bread and oatmeal and raisin cookies, and cut up some fruit for the kids.

The Betty Drama ensues. She rang K today and by the sounds of it, it was bizarre and we'll be talking about it on Wednesday at our monthly mum dinner. Ooh, the anticipation of what she said. lol Ok. I am sort of curious. Grin I don't get to watch much TV.

chefswife · 18/09/2010 02:35

I also just wanted to add, and not because I'm feeling particularly broody or anything, but I woke up this morning at 4.30 and my first thought was that I was pregnant. No test... will wait few days as I am due in the next day or two.

moosemama · 18/09/2010 13:38

Ooo Chef - exciting! You will let us know as soon as you test won't you?

Well, we've been back to paed a&e this morning - again! Dd decided to take her arm out of her plaster while she was in our bed first thing! She now has another temporary one up to her shoulder and I have to call fracture clinic first thing Monday to arrange to go back and have a another proper fibreglass one put on.

I am sooo sick of bloody hospitals!

Ds1 is being the worst patient ever - insisting he is not ill and complaining about not being given enough to eat. It was almost a relief to leave him with Mum while we took dd to a&e this morning. Grin

Chef.. v excited about another potential thread baby!

Moosey, I can't believe your continuing trials and tribulations, you definitely deserve a good break.

Well, we had two viewings today, but no feedback yet. Can't wait to hear, I think in the early days it is very exciting. Then again, upstairs went in 10 weeks, so who knows? These are pretty des res for this area as everything else big blocks of flats, and ours only has 16 in each bit. Hmm.

We went to the zoo again today, and with this weather it was just fabulous. We are members, took a picnic, and parked for free in a side road. Then we decided we needed an extra 2 sandwiches and a coffee each... £15. OMG. Couldn't believe it!
