morning all, thanks for the kind words yesterday! Did have a rest yesterday but no sleep :( but had a much better night than the night before. Feeling shocking today but really only because i've got some spotting so am currently sat at the docs waiting to see if everythin is ok. I'm sure it's nothing but worth checking out i think! Anyone else had this? We've met some amazing people at our nct so hope you guys do too. Ours has been a 6 week course so haven't had to do an intensive course! No presentations here. Thankfully! Hope everyone is ok. X

Jenko77 · 03/09/2010 14:09

Poor BabyB. Let us know how you get on at the doctors. I'm sure it's nothing to worry about, but you should start slowing down and taking it easy.

Thank God it's Friday, eh?! Try to relax over the weekend, and catch up on some sleep.

{{hugs}}

Hevster · 03/09/2010 14:16

Hey babyB hope all is well, thinking of you xx

babybunting2010 · 03/09/2010 15:08

Hey, Thanks guys!

Everything fine, she reckons that because little one is a big baby that she is putting a lot of pressure on everything down there and has possibly caused a few varicouse veins in my ...... ummm.... lady bits..... (Only way I could think of not sounding vulgar!) and she thinks that I might find LO starts to move down soon!

She was really sweet and said it's really difficult as you start inspecting everything! She also said that she thinks part of it might have been show but she wasn't sure!

Lots of rest and sudacrem! (Can't remember who was joking about it being the answer to everything, but clearly it is! :) Although I always laugh at my mum when she says, have you tried sudacrem!)

Hevster and Jenko, thanls for your thoughts and hugs, was a V scary thing to go through!

xxx

Jenko77 · 03/09/2010 15:41

BabyB Glad all is well (or as well as it can be with varicouse veins in your lady bits Hmm)

Oh, exciting that it might have been part of your show - make sure your hospital bag is packed before you do put your feet up and take it easy... you never know!

Jacksmybaby · 03/09/2010 16:11

Hey everyone, just back from Norfolk and having a quick glance through the thread, will read properly later.

Good week but NOT very relaxing as DS being INCREDIBLY hard work and would not leave me in peace for a single second. Still, he enjoyed the beaches etc.

Right got to go he is calling me from the bathroom for help with bottom wiping (so glamourous this mothering thing Grin)... back later.

DillyDora · 03/09/2010 19:33

Hey babyb glad all is basically well... my mum also thinks sudacrem is the cure for everything. Hope the lady bits are feeling ok!!!

babybunting2010 · 03/09/2010 20:07

thought it was you dilly! I knew someone had said about their mother using sudocrem as a remedy for everything! :) doctor seemed to agree with her. Tee hee! X

Hevster · 03/09/2010 21:37

babyB so glad all is ok with LO - just reinforces my theory that there is nothing dignified about being pregnant!

sudocrem cures many things, including sore patches on horses!

Welcome back Jacks sorry that DS has been such hard work but glad he enjoyed the beaches, hope you did too.

Off to the Great Dorset Steam Fayre tomorrow (us West Country folk sure know how to have a good time!)oh and thats after DD has been to a Pirate fancy dress third birthday party - happy days!

Hello All,

OH is out on a poker night and im home alone watching Gossip Girl, oh the joys of pregnancy! i just know im almost ready to hit the sack aswell which is bad been as its only 9:30pm.

We have a swinging crib for our baby girl! Grin its perfect, her room looks just perfect already and i still have lots of pictures to put up! I never really considered cribs before as they only last a short time but been as were emigrating when shes 7 months and my mum has a cot at hers which we can borrow once she outgrows the crib i couldnt resist!

Still not started my labour bag yet and even tho i have already packed one last time i have no idea where to start! but i have 7whole weeks left to get round to that i suppose.

How was everyones Friday?

Glad to hear everythings ok with baby babyb . when are you due in october again? - surely if its a show it may mean baby might show up early??

Hevster · 06/09/2010 07:12

Off to work in 51 minutes, would like to say I will catch up with you all when I get there but fear they may be rather a lot of emails (and an awful lot of people to talk to/coffee to drink/gossip to catch up on/trip to the canteen etc etc) to deal with on day 1

Hope you all had a good weekend

Good luck at work today Hevster!

YummyMummy1208 · 06/09/2010 09:59

Well i dropped DS off at his very first day of playgroup thismorning and have spent the last hour blubbering and imagining what an awful time he must be having with all those new shiny toys to pay with. :(
Honestly, i bet he is having a lovely time and hasnt even noticed me leave but i still just want to drive back there and bring him home!
He's booked in for a full day and now im wondering wether to pick him up early on his first day or wether im being silly - what do you think? I think i will give the playgroup a ring at 11:30am just to check he was ok when i left. i would do it now but know ill end up blubbering down the phone which will be v. embarrassing!

The joys of motherhood!

PatsyIsPreggers · 06/09/2010 10:05

Morning all

Glad to hear your visit to the doctor was ok BabyB - sounds like Sudocrem is the answer to all troubles. I will stock up on the way home tonight!

Your week in Norfolk sounds lovely Jacks, despite DS being demanding. It's amazing how much kids find to do on the beach isn't it.

Hevster hope you enjoyed the steam fayre and all goes well at work today. I'm down to my last 13 days in work now and counting down gladly!

Yummy How cute your little swinging crib sounds, and how prepared you sound with the nursery pictures and everything.

DH and I spent a lovely weekend pottering at home. DH finished the gloss work in the nursery and we moved the furniture in yesterday - despite the fact that we will be moving it out again to paint it pink or blue when the little one arrives - we just couldn't resist! I sat in there on my little nursing chair last night and started to get really excited and picturing what it will all be like.

Also started to gather things together for the hospital bag, washing the baby clothes etc. They just look soooooo cute hung out to dry. They are soooo tiny and lovely that I come over all emotional and want to cry from happiness just looking at them! Pregnancy hormones must still be sky high!

First NCT class tonight - we don't have to prepare any presentations that I know of KFW Sounds like you may have drawn the short straw! When I saw your post I checked my emails in a panic, but our instructions just say to bring a cushion - not quite sure what for Hmm

Jacksmybaby · 06/09/2010 10:08

Awww Yummy I remember that day this time last year. We had to pick DS up after about 1 hour on his 1st day of pre-school as he cried so much. But from 2nd day onwards he was absolutely fine. They will call you if he needs to be picked up. I would give them a call soon if it will put your mind at rest.

Today DS is starting in the "big" class at his pre-school so will be dropping him off there for the afternoon - can't wait for a bit of peace tbh! Smile

PatsyIsPreggers · 06/09/2010 10:16

Yummy took me so long to compose my last post that I didn't see yours. Poor you Biscuit. I'm sure the preschool won't mind you calling even if you do blub! Let us know how your DS gets on, you are probably right that he's having a good time playing with all the new toys.

YummyMummy1208 · 06/09/2010 11:56

Thank you jacks and Patsy :(

I did ring them around half ten and she said he was absolutely fine and outside playing with all the others. :)Still feel a bit emotional but am comforted that he's busy playing. Ive been making use of my free time by finally sorting things out upstairs - you know, those jobs that always get put to the back of the pile to do 'later' but never get done! And ive tidied his room all nice to make me feel better about sending him away! Blush

I did attempt to start packing my hospital bags last night when i realised i dont actually have a big enough bag for baby! And been as the baby side of things is the part i have most of i wasnt able to get very far!

How old is your little one Jacks? Starting big school is he, im not sure how they cant love it - they have so many toys in one room its like toys r us in there!

I still dont even know when our parent classes are, good luck Patsy im sure ull be fine, itl give you chance to show off how much you know about pregnancy! Grin

Jacksmybaby · 06/09/2010 12:18

Glad he is ok Yummy. DS is 3.7 so not starting proper big school until next Sept but is in the "big" class at his pre-school now (for 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 yo's).

Patsy hope your class is fun tonight. The cushion mught just be for sitting on - depending how many are going and how big the teacher's house is there might not be enough sofa space! Let's hope it's nothing more daunting than that!

PatsyIsPreggers · 06/09/2010 12:26

Good news your DS is busy playing with the others Yummy. Hopefully he'll make lots of new little friends.

That was one thing I meant to ask actually, how big is everyone's hospital bag? I started to put the stuff together and it looks like I'll need a suitcase! That's only with the stuff I'd need to perhaps stay one night. Any more than that and I'd have to get more stuff brought in. Is that normal?

Ha ha Jacks, yes cushion is probably just for sitting on, but DH had me imagining all sorts of possibilities about enacting birth positions, or possibly so he can lie down and have a kip when the teacher talks about the 'lady things' he'd rather not know about... Grin

DillyDora · 06/09/2010 13:39

Hi All,

Phew - cream crackered here and it's only Monday! Went to have dinner w friends last night and stayed over at my bro's house - no sleep at all!! Just couldn't get comfy and kept waking up and worrying about chores which need doing. Then went shopping this morning so now have enough maternity clothes to carry me through to 8th Oct at work, and some pjs, and some long vesty things for hospital (where the temps are always tropical, aren't they?). Also bought winter boots in my usual size tho I can barely get them on - better hope my feet shrink again one day! And now work, then dinner out tonight, and a tube strike to negotiate this week and ...have I taken leave of my senses?! Yes!

Sorry - moany - I'm my own worst enemy! So cute about the little ones going to school/nursery - hope all goes well for everyone!

Hevster · 06/09/2010 17:21

blimey you have all had busy days

Patsy I love the image of you sitting in your newly furnished nursery, I used to do that before DD arrived, was a bit of a shock when she moved in there and it was no longer a peaceful room with pretty furniature!
Good luck with the classes tonight.

Yummy hope you have got DS back now and don't feel guilty I bet he has had a great day.

Jacks hope you enjoyed the peace and DS is sufficiently warn out.

Survived a whole 3 hrs at work so hopefully will be going back on Wed.

These pregnancy hormones r driving me crazy now. So i went to pick DS1 up from playgroup, i was fine...until he ran up to me and when i picked him up gave me the nicest biggest cuddle ever...then that was it, waterworks. And infront of the playgroup leader who was telling me how he got on - perfectly fine as though he'd been going for months apparently so it seems it was only me who had a tear filled day! Bless her, she didnt know what to do/say i just blubbered out that it was pregnancy hormones whilst trying to turn the tap off!

Im fed up again this week, ache all over and its such hard work just to get up from sitting down that i tend to just try and plonk myself somewhere with everything i need right by me Grin Just want baby out now. Im absolutely huge (so huge infact that our local chippy owner asked my OH when i was due only to reply 'gosh i thought she was due any day now from the size of her!') and i cant possibly see how i can stretch any more. :(

Cheer me up ladies - are we all feeling like this or am i just being a moaner??
Glad you survived your day at work Hevster, i have 4 weeks left now and it seems to be just dragging on a little.

Hevster · 07/09/2010 08:15

Yummy can relate to the ache all over, and I avoid the huge effort of getting up by not sitting down, but then it's so hard to sit down with a massive bump that doesn't move.

BabyB you ok?

Patsy how was NCT?

Dilly the feet shrink relatively quickly afterwards so worry not you will wear the boots

PatsyIsPreggers · 07/09/2010 08:57

Hello lovely ladies

Good news that you survived work Hevster. Hope it wasn't too tiring and you'll be able to keep it up until you actually want to start your maternity leave.

Yummy Is your DS back in playgroup today? Wasn't on here last night to send cheery thoughts, but just think it'll all be over soon and you'll have a lovely little baby to love and cuddle and dress up in tiny cutesy baby clothes.

Dilly you've inspired me to go shopping tonight. Have managed not to buy any maternity jeans until now, but really can't fit into any of my trousers any more despite assistance from bump bands / elastic etc so will have to bite the bullet I think. Just struggled last time I looked to find any jeans that looked even half decent on me.

NCT class was surprisingly good, thanks for asking Hevster. We've got a lovely teacher and what seems to be a really nice group of 8 couples. Being as rural as we are, everyone is fairly spread out geographically over about a 20mile radius and 2 hospitals which are a 40 minute drive from each other (classes are in between 2 hospitals) but there are 3 couples who live within a 10 minute drive of us. That's more than I expected given where we live. DH coped remarkably well with all talk of 'lady things' and didn't even look close to fainting once (or giggling when the teacher said 'womb' which he always does in church when we sing hymns at Christmas Hmm).

All in all a success! Grin

Hevster · 07/09/2010 09:24

Patsy glad classes were a success and DH survived Grin
