Ok so its lunchtime, its payday and i cannot think where to start spending first! This being heavily pregnant lark is totally distracting me from spending my money! Grin

Me too! - is sickness supposed to come back in the last trimester? i havent been sick for months but ran for the sink thismorning which is unusual for me! :(

Feel so crap this week, head is all over the place and almost feel as though im going to pass out every now and then. if it werent for the fact that one of us 4 account managers were off on hols and another went home sick today i think id be going home but theres only 2 of us left standing!

Hevster · 27/08/2010 15:58

now stewing organic apples for freezer for weaning!, sounds very organised but isn't really just seems a shame not to use the apples from our tree and there are way too many for eating.

hope you all have a good weekend

Well done you Hevster! I am so unbelievably bored, the office is empty and i have another 45 minutes to kill!

Please someone start talking before i fall asleep at my desk!

Had another one of those 'Oh she looked about the same size as you (but shes 41 weeks pregnant!)" comments today from a colleague. which to say the least i was not impressed with as i had already been on google images today typing 32 weeks pregnant only to find lots of women with bumps my size if not bigger! - no im bloody not as big as my 41 week pregnant colleague thank you very much! Angry Argh! why do people feel its their right to comment on how huge we look when pregnant!?

anythingwithagiraffeonit · 27/08/2010 16:32

I just had this in the carpet shop! :p

I asked how long it would be until it was fitted and the guy laughed and said they'd better hurry and do it in 7 days..

I'm very pleased to have my carpet so quickly, but nice to know I look ready to pop! lol

YummyMummy1208 · 27/08/2010 16:46

ooo so annoying though ifeel like shouting 'i am 7 months bloody pregnant what do you expect?!" at them all. Grin but then they would probably start on the hormonal pregnant women jokes! So i just try to bite my lip!

P.s for the record - i am honestly not as huge as these non pregnant folk keep making out! im just a smallish frame to begin with and so the bump looks bigger on me! Grin

Fish and Chips from the chippy tonight...hmm cant wait! Although slightly annoyed (again) with OH for taking DS1 who is 2.5 up to his mums - about 1-2 miles away WITHOUT the car seat as its in my car. My mum text me letting me know so i rang him up and raged down the phone that he is never to do it again! Blush Shouldnt he know this himself? - surely he doesnt need me to have to tell him??

JazzieJeff · 27/08/2010 16:56

Marking my spot on the new thread! Eeeep!

Had my midwife appointment on Wednesday, I'm 33+4 and my small is measuring for 32 Confused worried now that he'll be hideously overdue, although the good news is that he's currently head down. Fingers crossed he stays that way. I've got good abdominals though, so I don't know if that's what's making the difference and he's just being all squished up in there. I felt really pissed off after seeing the midwife though; we're doing my birth plan when she next sees me in 2 weeks and when I had some questions about it she just went 'we'll deal with it all at the next appointment'. I know she's probably pushed for time, but without being too dramatic I'll be 35+5 at my next appointment and I kind of feel like it's shutting the stable door after the horse has bolted regarding questions Hmm I'm probably speaking too soon (in fact, I know I am) but I'm actually feeling really unsafe regarding the birth. Treliske hospital (the one where Sam Cam had her baby this week) is fully booked up for tours and when I rang to book up a few weeks back, they could only fit me in at the beginning of September. I'll be 35 weeks by then and I kind of feel like it's too late for anything Sad I know I'm being stupid and hormonal, but I really feel like I'm being pushed from pillar to post, not having any questions answered and as if everything's a bit too much trouble...

Rant over, sorry!

Yummy Hope you managed to get away a few minutes early, there's something about Friday afternoons that make them draaaggg.... At least you've got MN to waste time on lol!

I know what you mean about people commenting on your size. There's an old lady at the end of our road who stands outside her door just looking at people as they go by (yeah, I know but I'm used to it living in Cornwall). She used to look at me as I went by. Now she stares at me as I waddle past with an ungainly gait with my fists full of Twirls, with her mouth actually slightly open as if she's never seen a sight like it in her life. Yesterday evening I was just rounding the corner in the car on the way back from Sainsburys... she actually shook her head as I drove by as if to say 'driving??? In your condition?! Not in my day'. To be fair, she might have been staring in wonder at just how much shopping I can fit into my little car, but I was so pissed off from all the tourists packing out the supermarket I could've slammed on the brakes there and then and got out and confronted her. Just for looking at me funny... that's it, I've gone mad Shock

KFW · 27/08/2010 17:00

hevster you poor lamb i can't believe you are feeling more sick than usual. dont you always feel sick Sad ?!

i am also feeling a bit sick, but that may be to do with the fact that i just ate 7 biscuits Blush they were Nice biscuits though - and they are really small Smile so it's not like eating 7 cookies (in my mind anyway). i do love a good Nice. who needs fancy biccies eh?

hope you all have good bank hols.

my EDD is 23 Oct. I'm going for an optimistic 28 oct although i have a horrid feeling like yummy that i will be giving birth to a halloween baby Grin Now that DH has worked out that it is a possibility, he is rooting for it! at least it means that birthday parties will be easy to choose a theme for i suppose.

YummyMummy1208 · 27/08/2010 19:47

exactly what i thought KFW! but i think if i have to choose between an easy theme or ending this awful struggle of a pregnancy just a few days early i have no doubt i will definitely trade! Grin

Where abouts in Cornwall do you live JazzieJeff? i lived in Lostwithiel for a while, loved it down there!

Hevster · 27/08/2010 20:52

All pregnant women should be issued with a wackaday (Timmy (very annoying) Mallet) mallet that they can just brain every ignorant or stupid person with including dismissive midwives and sizeist halfwits!

KFW decided I feel so sick I might as well pork out on chocolate rasins (hoping counts as 1 of my 5 a day!) good effort on the nice biscuits!

Hi all, sorry not been on since yesterday morning, only worked a half day yesterday and then stayed at the hotel we had our wedding reception at as a nice romantic last minute get away, was lovely and then to make it even more perfect and sorry if it makes anyone jealous but dh booked me in for a pregnancy pamper session in their spa! Was amazing. Felt like a human for a while! I am totally with you all re size i keep getting people thinking i'm huge! I swear people forget how big you actually get! So annoying. Any way going to go watch x factor now. Catch you soon. X

YummyMummy1208 · 29/08/2010 10:49

Sounds like you've had a lovely weekend bb! What a lovely DH you have! Im jealous. Grin Hope you enjoyed your pamper session, i am so in need of a getaway right now! - our 2 yr old has become such a handful to me right now - not sure if this is due to my being pregnant or hes just turned more hard work or a bit of both but this week has been dreadful!
Apart from waking up with a what feels like a hangover every day this week im actually managing to keep my patience which is a pretty good challenge trust me! but every single task we do - getting him dressed/playing trucks/talkihg on the phone to nanny (as its her bday) it just turns into this huge tantrum seeking game! Im sure part of it is feeling less attention from Mummy at the moment (and i feel wracked with guilt most days about this!) but im feeling very much like i just cant cope with him right now and am panicking how ill cope once my maternity leave starts :(

Iv put him down for his nap and hes currently stood at the stair gate on his door singing Happy Birthday to Nanny! Hes so cute bless him, just hard work!

How is everyone enjoying their 3 day weekend? Keep eating those chocolate raisins Hevster, we only have 8 weeks of eating crap and not feeling guilty left u know! Grin

anythingwithagiraffeonit · 30/08/2010 18:20

Is this the last bank holiday before our babies? In my job I usually have to work them so they most often make no difference to me..

Maybe I should have done something fun but its been all decorate decorate decorate... I thought the house was finished but suddenly everything is niggling at me!!

Maybe its me nesting kicking in. DH and my parents are hating it.. but my living room and study look fab lol!

Hope everyone else managed to fit in some fun and rest! xx

babybunting2010 · 31/08/2010 09:12

Morning all,

Hope you are well and had a lovely weekend!

Anything, I am also doing strange cleaning things, went to mop the kitchen floor yesterday, ended up re organising whole kitchen, cleaning the conservatory from top to bottom, organising the under stairs cupboard, then cleaning the whole kitchen, before mopping the kitchen floor before collapsing in a heap! :)

Yummy, Must say I'm glad that I haven't got the extra battles of a 2 year old, I don't think my patience would cope with it! All credit to you!

I am feeling a little fragile today, though no bosses in work so can at least spend day on here! :)

Feeling a little delicate..... down there.... Confused a little like a period pain at the moment, so am thinking my ligaments and things are having a bit of a hissy fit!!

Have got my 34 week appointment today though which I am looking forward to!

How's everyone else?

xxx

Hevster · 31/08/2010 09:36

How you feeling now Hev? Managing any food? I've noticed that my gag reflex for cleaning my teeth is back, which is just lovely first thing in the morning! :( So don't know how you cope with it! I really don't!

RooBear · 31/08/2010 10:19

Well I'm 32+3 so feel a bit behind some of you! but we were productive this weekend, ordered the dresser and cot bed which should arrive by the end of the week, got bedding a starter pack of resuable nappies, changing mat etc.... can't think of anything else we need, just need to pick a carseat which my lovely grandparents are getting for us.

I'm not sure whether I've got nausea or bad hartburn at the moment but its keeping me awake and had it for 3 wks.

Start antenatal classes next week which is exciting.

EDD:23th October
Predicted: When DH is at a sunderlnd game!

Hevster · 31/08/2010 12:49

Roo am very glad that Leeds are not playing anywhere near us in the next 2 months so DH can't plead with me to be allowed to go Grin

BabyB sorry you have the gag reflux back when you do your teeth, still feel pooh here but past caring as 5 weeks today madame will be arriving..... (oh shit!)

DillyDora · 31/08/2010 13:21

marking my place - just back from Germany...will read up later
xx

EDD 21st October
Predicted: 14thish of October - because I know my short cycle and I know when we made this baby!

babybunting2010 · 31/08/2010 14:01

Teehee Roo, makes it a bit harder if you've got to not go into labour around football matches, blatantly going to happen at the worst possible moment!

Have just been for my 34 week MW appointment and am pleased to say if LO keeps growing at the same rate that she has been since the 20 week scan we will be being induced at 38 weeks! Whoop Whoop! Very excited now! :)

Won't know for sure when as of yet! But will keep you updated! Dilly hope you had a fab time!

PatsyIsPreggers · 31/08/2010 15:51

Hi all - was away on a course for work last week, so not easy to post, but just about been keeping up with you all!

I had my 34 week appointment today too, though a week early as the MW only comes to our surgery every fortnight. Jazzie I can sympathise as I'm 33+2 now an only measuring 31. MW said it's still in the normal range and all else is fine, but I just wonder how long the little wriggler will be in there! Got a nice listen to heartbeat and MW also told me the baby is head down, so mostly positive I guess.

BB lucky you with your pampering session. We spent bank holiday decorating nursery - just painted over hideous dark orange walls and ceiling left by previous owners in white as the baby won't be moving so FIL has offered to paint it girl/boy colours when sproglet arrives. Ordered my glider chair at the weekend though - my one luxury! Can't wait for it to arrive.

Sorry to hear some of you are suffering from sickness again. Hope it passes soon.

DH has started telling the baby his 'pearls of wisdom' in the little chats he has to my belly every night. I'm not supposed to listen to these chats as they're private Confused but couldn't help overhearing him discuss the virtues of a good pair of chinos last night! I'll lol if we have a little girl and she wants to wear chinos like her daddy!

EDD 17 October
Predicted - feels like it may never happen at this rate!

babybunting2010 · 31/08/2010 17:26

Patsy that is quite possibly the cutest thing I've ever heard! My DH doesn't seem to be connecting with the baby, gets really excited about meeting her but I think he really struggles with the idea that there's a little lady in there!

xx

RooBear · 01/09/2010 09:28

Its september everyone!!!!! next month (and possibly this one) the LO's will be arriving! Grin

YummyMummy1208 · 01/09/2010 09:48

Yay RooBear! Grin Still seems miles away for me mind! :( But August absolutely flew by so maybe this month will too and then once october comes, then it will seem close!
