Thanks babyb he is a mummy's boy, think im going to have to be a bit more easy going with this one so she doesnt get so clingy to mummy like DS1 - i love it,dont get me wrong. just worried hes not very adaptable to other people looking after him apart from my mum and a few others.

well this 3 day week thing ive got going on is great! 2nd day at work this week and only one more to go until i get another 4 off! Grin A little sad now as im handing over all my 'baby's' (account) to the new girl at work, im quite protective over my promotions so i dont want to see them go! Only 4 more full days at work then im going to be a stay at home mum for over a year! :( but :) at the same time!

This baby will not stop wriggling today - she pushes her feet against my left side so her bum comes out my top right side and her head pushes down into my pelvis which hurts! anyone else got wrigglers in there?

Hope you're enjoying maternity leave babyb, its the count down for you now - anytime from 37 weeks they say so you never know! Grin

KFW · 23/09/2010 14:37

mine is partial to exactly the same stretch yummy: feet out left, bum in the air on the right and horrible sensation on cervix. ouuuuuch.

YummyMummy1208 · 23/09/2010 14:54

oh so its not just my LO then KFW!

DillyDora · 23/09/2010 15:41

Hi all,

Mum has left, all rather fraught at the end as my bro came over and was behaving so oddly, it was awful (he has a long term drug problem which I thought he was over) so it turned into a 'mare and mum missed her train home. It was such a shame.

Just trying to chill now and forget the bad and sad. Got measured for pressure stockings this morning as my feet/ankles are just so bad that the mw at antenatal recommended the stockings! Eep! 36 weeks today with 2 more at work.

Sorry to those so uncomfy, I feel your pain! Nearly there!!!

KFW · 23/09/2010 18:00

dilly that sounds difficult. families can be tough. you are nearly there though: i also have 2 weeks left at work. no more getting into the city and i can just chill in sw6 Smile

hev - hugs to you. i have been up and down recently. hormone-tastic.

JazzieJeff · 23/09/2010 19:19

Hi girls, just checking in! hevster you're not alone; my mood changes as quickly as the wind at the minute. Got a funny feeling I'll be feeling a jillion times better when I've not got a baby with the appetite of a small horse and the energy of a kangaroo sapping all my energy from the inside!

dilly that sucks about your brother, hope you're going to be alright.

Been on a major cleaning spree today, and sent DH into work this morning with all the profits of yesterdays dalliance with my new nigella IPhone app. Been rewarded with a lovely persistent lower backache... Isn't life wonderful?!

Hope everyones had a nice day

cheekymonkeyno3 · 24/09/2010 11:17

finally found you all. sorry haven't been on for ages and will try to catch up best i can. as for myself, 35 weeks feeling shattered baby is still breech and moving house next week. crazy times - i just keep reminding myself it will have all calmed down by christmas :)

BabyRoosMum · 24/09/2010 13:39

Hi All, Its been a while since I've been online....coming to the end of my first week off and getting bored now! Have tried to ration my computer time as find myself researching allsorts of baby things that just make me more worried/excited about B-day and neither is helpful to make time go quicker!!
Maternity leave is quite dull so far. Had an accidental nap on the sofa the other day and baby moved into a position which meant I couldn't walk for two days (felt like its head was right THERE if you know what I mean!) but all better now and waddling like normal again!
I discovered this week that dp's sister has booked some time off work for when baby is born.....errrrr....why?????????? Slipped into slight panic at the thought of her just turning up and she's so flighty, it would be quite possible for her to "drop in" with a quick call to say she was 5 mins away...I'm yet to establish when she is off, if I can get dp to convince her to cancel it and as a last resort, I will cross my legs and hold this baby in until she is back in work! Also, his other sis has one in school now so was happy in the thought that she'd come at the weekend after the birth but now she's saying that she could always get her ex to pick up the LO from school and bring her own baby, MIL and FIL for the day......argh!!!!My head might explode. I may go into exile....xxx

DillyDora · 24/09/2010 14:40

Hi there,

Thanks for the good wishes. Just a quickie (cooking some spaghetti - I'm starvin'!) babyroosmum I hear you! There are always family members one could do without (rather a lot in my case!) I hope you can get DP to manage them for you! Good luck.

Good luck w move cheekymonkey

And sorry for those with grumps, I get that too, so horrible.

xx

BabyRoosMum · 24/09/2010 14:55

Thanks Dilly enjoy your spaghetti....we're off to do the food shopping in a mo so hoping to get something tasty for this evenings dinner! :)

Momo36 · 24/09/2010 15:54

Hello ladies

I know that it may be a little late in the game but I'm 37 weeks tomorrow, due on the 16th of October, and would like to join your thread of October babies! From reading some of your posts I can see that I am pretty much in the same boat as everyone else with lack of sleep, puffy feet and fingers etc etc. Oh joy... Anyway, it would be great to be part of a support group such as this.. Especially that is is my first and I am quite anxious of what is to come!

Jacksmybaby · 24/09/2010 16:14

Congratulations Jacks!!!!

Hermya321 · 25/09/2010 10:40

Urmmmm I just wanted to ask you guys a question, I know early on in the lives of the two October threads the question was asked if you wanted to join forces so to speak and the general consensus was that people wanted to keep the two threads separate; which is fine.

We were wondering on the other thread if postnatelly you wanted to join forces or if people wanted to stay as they were (ie two separate threads).

So either is fine, just wanted to know what people were wanting to do.

sophieandbelly · 25/09/2010 10:42

marking my spot!

Jacksmybaby · 25/09/2010 17:02

I've put a couple of pics onto my profile page.

Looks like you have all been having relatively quiet weeks while I've been away!

All well here.

x

Hevster · 25/09/2010 17:40

Hermya321 personally I am all for keeping them separate as some of us struggled to keep up with the speed on the other thread and those of us that did want to be on the other are on both - no offence meant whatsoever

OP posts:
Hevster · 25/09/2010 17:43

Jacks she's lovely, but I find myself going - oh my goodness she's real and I will have one too in 9 days......going to have to take my head out of the sand!

OP posts:
Hermya321 · 25/09/2010 18:40

Hevster No worries, just thought I would check with people.

Jacks I had a nosy at your pictures and your daughter is beautiful!!

JazzieJeff · 25/09/2010 19:01

jacks she's lovely, you must be such a proud mummy!

Got my TENS machine today, got DH to put it on me to try it out to make sure it worked.... Well, I'm regretting that now. He stuck it on and started fiddling with it and I said "oooh I can't feel much, not sure it's any good" cue DH putting the dials up full whack (I'm sure you can all see what's about to happen here); still can't feel much. Then DH says, "oh hang on, this pad isn't plugged in right..." I was like "what?.... WAIT! Dontplugitinturnthebloodypowerofffirst!!!" fuck me, those things are powerful on full power. I shot off that sofa faster than I've moved in months trying to tear it off. Still not seeing the funny side...

sophieandbelly · 25/09/2010 19:13

jazzie!!!! where u been!! how u feeling? havnt seen u about for ages!!
