I hope she stays put until DH gets his mood straight the last thing you need is someone being twattish whilst you are trying to labour.

TwilightSurfer · 12/08/2010 21:55

I will be surprised if a baby isn't born in the next 10 hours. Smile

A little less of the hairy thanks - I have just waxed!

TwilightSurfer · 12/08/2010 21:57

No matter what I am going to have you and Pea on my mind for the remainder of the night. My shift is good for SEVERAL more hours. Wink

yeah maybe Pert, i guess i'll find out when the time comes. i tell you something, there's no way she's driving DS anywhere if she's had any wine, even only one glass given that she's never driven DH's car before. She hasn't actually said as much re the reason for her not wanting to do it, just my suspicions but i don't reckon they're far from the truth

tweakers · 12/08/2010 21:59

oi stop it you lot, i'm crying now because you're being so nice

i had an attempt at shaving earlier.... think i'd have been better off trying for a crop circle. anyone remember them from two years ago? Grin

tweakers · 12/08/2010 22:00

just realised something... i wonder if DH has worked out my namechange yet? if you have and you're reading this...i just want a hug....

Smile is that for me or you TS?

oopsandbabycoconuts · 12/08/2010 22:03

Please don't cry you will make my screen all streaky!! and if I end up crying too DH will wonder what I am up to on here.

MrTweaker - please go in and give MrsT a hug and a little manly support she really needs you right now. Thanks :)

TwilightSurfer · 12/08/2010 22:03

you know i hated leaving K with MIL too. thankfully there was no driving involved however the quantity of medications she took daily scared me. not to mention every night, including the night we left for the hospital, she took a sleeping pill. i completely understand how you feel. i so totally want to give you a great big hug!!!!!

OP posts:
TwilightSurfer · 12/08/2010 22:04

for you, of course. i have some tolberlone too if you'd like a piece.

OP posts:
TwilightSurfer · 12/08/2010 22:06

just remember to breath. relax and embrace how you feel. if you happen to go into "the process" while T is at home, so be it. many children are present during birth. you and dh can handle it. plus you both have us to talk to. it will all be beautiful.

pertelote · 12/08/2010 22:12

Oops you are so diplomatic Smile

Tweaker I think your identity is probably clear but feel free to change back if a familiar outfit would be more comfortable at this time Grin

tweakers · 12/08/2010 22:13

oops, he doesn't care, he really doesn't. he hasn't even taken the monitor out to the shed with him tonight. its completely sound-proofed out there so there's no way he'd hear me if i shouted for him (whereas he would via T's baby monitor if he had the listening bit with him)

thanks for the hug, albeit a virtual one TS... tolberlone would be lovely but afraid i'll be having more than one bit if that's ok with you

and you're right about DS being here...chances are he'd sleep through it anyway if it was during the night

tweakers · 12/08/2010 22:14

pert but i like my new name!

TwilightSurfer · 12/08/2010 22:16

exactly. he would sleep through and you are welcome to more than a bite.

how are you feeling otherwise this evening? are you having any contractions??

OP posts:
tweakers · 12/08/2010 22:17

no, no contractions, well not in the last hour anyway and i've stopped crying now so concentrating on calm, relaxed breathing

tweakers · 12/08/2010 22:18

and needless to say, there's no tweaking going on round here tonight!

oopsandbabycoconuts · 12/08/2010 22:18

Tweaky - He would sleep through it and be none the wiser - if it happens in the night can your mum come over and stay upstairs in your/spare room so if Ds wakes she can deal with him? then she doesn't need to drive him anywhere or would you rather she wasn't in the house whilst you birth your baby.

tweakers · 12/08/2010 22:19

actually, i'm quite pleased albs is away at the moment because otherwise, i suspect she'd have been round by now to tell DH exactly what she thought of him!

tweakers · 12/08/2010 22:20

that's actually not a bad idea at all oops, no, wouldn't have a problem with her being here. she'd stay out the way unless i said otherwise... i'll chat with her about it tomorrow

pertelote · 12/08/2010 22:24

Fair enough then Tweak Grin

Oops speaks sense as always. And TS of course. T would be fine.

TwilightSurfer · 12/08/2010 22:25

it's really a wonderful idea to consider keeping all close. even if he doesn't see things and fusses he will not have a memory of this. memory recall starts around the age of 4. if you can contain him in his room, if he fusses or is trying, you'll be fine. and if you mil can pop by and remain with him until the birth is complete that's even better.

again, it will all be fine.
