I think it was Joss...

My eyes are spinning from internet...

Oooo, looking forward to hearing all about it and weight, names etc.

moosemama · 13/09/2010 22:42

I am sober, but clearly having a huge sugar rush from all that chocolate. Grin

Ah yes Pat, but we know you're an Armadillo really. Wink

A really good friend of mine once said to me, that a real friend is someone you don't need to see often, to know that they'll always be there for you. I have over the years always found this to be true and I have definitely found it applies just as much to this thread as it does to rl. Smile

Chef, Dog had a live labour thread here.

chefswife · 13/09/2010 22:44

Moose! Welling up over here too.

Warning! Absolutely cheesy but sweet and true posting.

I thought I was going to be all by myself in this whole motherhood thing and am so blessed that I took that step that day to check out a website that Times recommended. Its been fantastic to have you all around these last couple of years too. Yeah for round two!

[gruff emoticon] quite glad to have found you all, would have gone insane several times over in those early days...

very pleased to have the first wave of round two safely landed Smile

Bloomin power cut ruined the moment. Catching up now...

Congratulations Dog and family. Wonderful news, also feeling weepy.

Night all.

Lenni · 13/09/2010 23:00

Awww, you soppy bunch. I wholeheartedly agree. Now if only I could stop the baby monitor bleeping in alarm at having no power I'd go to bed.

Lenni · 14/09/2010 07:30

Morning.

teaandcakeplease · 14/09/2010 07:42

I missed the announcement as I felt so tired I'd gone to bed. Congratulations DOG can't wait to hear all about the weight, name etc Smile

I joined the thread rather late, so I can't reminise (sp?) quite like you all but I do think you're a lovely bunch Smile

missjackson · 14/09/2010 08:35

I couldn't stop crying last night after dog had her pup, OH thought I had gone mad. Blame it on my hormones. Dying for birth story now!

The birth pool obviously has good birthing vibes hkz - am so excited for you next and then me, although it feels like ages away - how amazing if we all got hwb in the pool.

Jaffa cakes on way, must hide computer!

120 · 14/09/2010 09:05

Morning all! Lovely to see everyone going soppy over Dog's new pup. It has been a truly stupendous couple of years and it's fantastic that so many of us are still coming on this thread. I'll never forget all the support we gave each other during the pregnancy, labour and births and I guess that is about as bonding an experience as you can get. Long may it continue..

tinkhasboughtoutalltheshops · 14/09/2010 09:13

congrats dog Grin

lots of chat

mm - glad ds enjoyed swimming Grin

miss j - hiGrin

hi everyone else Grin

moosemama · 14/09/2010 09:13

Ah Tea, it feels like you've always been here. I sometimes forget you weren't around back then. You are most definitely one of us. Smile

Right ladies, we have HKZ, then MissJ - who's next? We need more lovely birthing threads to keep us buoyant. Grin

treedelivery · 14/09/2010 09:51

Morning Smile

I agree, it feels like you were alwyas here Tea. You should read the Jan 09 thread, then add your own story too Smile

DH hhad a bad nght with dd2, she was up from 4 Shock SHe has surpassed herself on the eating front, lick of a slice of toast.

Can't wait for the gossip DOG!

moosemama · 14/09/2010 10:00

Morning Tree

In our house last night dd did eventually fall asleep, but was restless and noisy all night - keeping me awake. (Think its her molars cutting through again.)

Then this morning ds1 and I sparked off each other repeatedly until we were both thoroughly miserable.

Then to cap it all there's all this crap in the news today about SEN pupils not having genuine SN at all. Apparently its all down to bad parenting and teaching. Angry

Not a good start to the day. Sad

teaandcakeplease · 14/09/2010 10:04

Ahhhh thank you Blush

My birth stories aren't great, non progressive labour, posterior baby, synto drip eventually and epidural, finally C section which tore as they tried to get the boy out as he was wedged Sad They scanned my kidney afterwards as they were worried. Boooo I'm rubbish at giving birth. DD was non progressive, posterior, synto drip etc and forceps though. However she was smaller. Am I the only one that feels she's failed as a woman as she seems in capable of popping them out? Both times 2 days at home with a shed load of contractions, then hospital for at least another 24 hrs of 5 mins contractions and slow dilating. Gah!

Come on DOG come and tell me your lovely story Smile How's your H's toe? Grin

teaandcakeplease · 14/09/2010 10:06

Ahh yes both times I had my waters broken by the midwife in their effort to help me Grin Tree they ended up going and getting a different hook with DD, as the first didn't seem to work after several tries. LOL

books - I use those too! Recently found echinacea drops (the two weeks on two weeks off ones) really good but can't use that when up the duffus.

moosemama · 14/09/2010 11:27

Thanks Books. It always smarts though. Unfortunately, there's a scary lot of people out there that think Autism is a fictitious disorder made up to excuse poor parenting and naughty children. Angry

In that case I'd love them to explain to me how I managed to completely screw up one of my children, yet the other two have developed apparently unscathed!

General feeling is, its government propaganda designed to make everyone think the SEN is costing too much money and is in most cases not justified. This of course will give them the opporutnity to cut SEN budgets without a huge public backlash. Of course if they tried to make similar cuts in MN education funding the general populace wouldn't take it lying down - not that they could actually do much about it. Instead, by doing it this way, they will have all the bigotted Daily Fail readers promoting the idea for them. Hmm Angry

I just hate the way people in the UK are continually manipulated by the media. What are we - a nation of sheep?

Blush Sorry, rant over. Just a little sensitive on this subject at the moment and it feels like, just when we have finally started to see the possiblity of some real support for ds1, the Government is likely to take it away again.

teaandcakeplease · 14/09/2010 11:33

The Independent article says nothing about parenting, just the school and how they operate Confused

Which article have you read Moosey? Sad

teaandcakeplease · 14/09/2010 11:35

Ofsted's not the Government per se and it's only one report, half the time they're shelved and forgotten about. I'm sure your children will get the help they need, they genuinely need that help Moose. I'm sure Lenni will be along to reassure you later ((hugs))

120 · 14/09/2010 12:07

((hugs)) here too. Too busy making bread, picallili, butterbean lamb pie and broccoli soup here to be reading newspapers (feels need to prove I actually do things at home occasionally!).
