Yes it is HKZ. Unlikely as it is, it might just possibly be cholestasis and you need some bloods doing. Sorry!
I'd go through midwife if you can, they can take them there and then. Or ring your day care unit, or go to GP but make the point you want the bloods doing. Not in a fortnight when the practice nurse can fit you in.

Probably sinus stuff, your mouth that is,

Lenni · 13/09/2010 20:26

I used to get them a lot, but not for years. I used to get them from certain foods and hormone related too. My sister was with me thankfully and had to drive me and the DCs home. Was really frightening to just completely not be able to move, I was vomitting. Awful. Really scared me tbh. Seeing GP on Thursday.

I also love the wallpapers, thankfully we have awful walls so can't have paper, it is a blessing on the credit card.

treedelivery · 13/09/2010 20:27

Poor you Lenni.

moosemama · 13/09/2010 20:35

Evening

Have read, but not retained much, but will do my best.

Tea, sorry to hear little Noah is still struggling.

Lenni, you poor thing. You have my upmost sympathy. I used to suffer from really bad migraines and they are just awful, so debilitating. Hope the GP gets to the bottom of it all for you.

Tree, love that first wallpaper. I looked at something similar in sage, pink and white for dd's room. That Quentin Blake paper is cracking - but Shock at price! That's even more expensive than the stuff I've chosen for dd!

Sadly I haven't had any shopping accidents recently - I daren't. Last thing I got to spend money on was ds1's new swimming kit. Hmm Next thing will be the fifty quid deposit for his outwards bounds trip.

Right am scooting back over to Dog's thread to check on her progress. Grin

Lenni · 13/09/2010 20:38

I once thought of being a midwife - immeadiately after DS was born but I'd not cope with the blood, perhaps a doula would be nicer. Although tbh I have no idea how Tree doesn't tell some of the first timers to snap out of it when they are breathing through tiny early labour contractions and generally making a fuss.

treedelivery · 13/09/2010 20:45

Awww it's like Jan 09 postnatal when we were waiting for her to join us. Wasn't DOg last to deliver?

hackneyzoo · 13/09/2010 20:46

In that case Tree I will give my MW a ring tomorrow. Am loving my MWs this time around, am going for a HB again so the new policy is that you have all your ante natal check ups at home and its with the lovely MW who delivered Jude. Last time I didn't see the same MW more than once.

Lenni, I couldn't cope with the blood either, am a bit of a wimp when it comes to bodily fluids. Hope the GP goes ok.

hackneyzoo · 13/09/2010 20:47

I think she was last, or Elkie, can't remember...will go and look, I have it bookmarked!

treedelivery · 13/09/2010 20:48

It's not the blood, it's the poo. And the responsbility.

Good thinking hkz, and sounds like she will sort you out or send you somewhere sensible Smile

stripeywoollenhat · 13/09/2010 20:53

lenni Shock: are you feeling better now? never had a migraine but my mum used to have them and they were a nightmare for her (stopped at menopause).

your lists are all deeply impressive, though i confess i am most impressed by missj's Envy. my day went like this:

7.15: wails from girl, dp got her up and brought me tea in bed (we alternate tea in bed).
got up after about ten minutes, fed porridge to dd while dp showered.
then went to gym for half an hour. home, had a quick shower, then dp left to take her mum to the airport, i cleaned up after breakfast, stuck on dishwasher, did various laundry things, crawled around on the floor a bit chasing the small girl.
dp came home, took ten minutes to send an email to cousin whose father died yesterday and to nosy on dog's labour thread. tea with dp, then she went to work. books, play, tried to put c down for a nap but my sister dropped in at the wrong moment, c heard her voice and that was the end of sleep. chatted with sister, then lunch: campbell's tomato soup, bread and hummus and an apple for c and for me.
cleared up after lunch, went to supermarket, went to builders' providers because i felt the need to be talked down to on account of my gender, went home and fed oatcakes and a smoothie to c. more books, some telling off about ripping, some chasing for a nappy change, upstairs to bounce on the bed, then the long slow melt down towards bedtime began. unpacked dishwasher, unloaded drier, stuck oven on for roast sweet potato, put together load of nappies.
then gave in to the begging for maisy, and sat with the increasingly droopy girl on the sofa through four episodes. then tried to talk her out of assaulting the cat, before physically separating them.
made dinner for c, which she ate half of and then hit the exhaustion wall. gave her a quick bath, fielded two tantrums in the bathroom, including one about tooth brushing (she hates it). quick drink of milk in bed, and she was asleep before i managed to get out the room. downstairs, cleared up, put dinner on for dp and me.
am now on couch and am not getting up again, though i am sure this is an easy day by anybody else's measure...

and a hideous lot of typing. going to check dog's thread. back shortly.

Oh the poo. I was so Blush last time I was in labour, the MW said I was constipated she couldn't see how dialated I was and sent me off to poo. Am eating my leafy greens this time. Tree my two MWs were great, both very expereinced, one from the west indies and one from Nigeria, very stern ( i was a little scared of them) and they talked for England, the one who is my MW this time found out I was a teacher and was quizzing me on her DS's gcse predictions and the merits of private tutoring... while I probably told her a load of trippy nonsense as I guzzled G&A.

Am hoping for a DOG update soon....it could be any minute...

treedelivery · 13/09/2010 20:57

They sound a hoot Grin

well, you must all remember my poo story. Jeez. The sound of it hitting the bed will never leave me.

hackneyzoo · 13/09/2010 21:00

Stripy, am out of breath from reading your list! J hates teeth brushing too, have no idea how to combat that one, he just eats the toothpaste and runs off with the brush laughing.

stripeywoollenhat · 13/09/2010 21:00

meant to say, tea, hope things pick up with noah soon

OP posts:
hackneyzoo · 13/09/2010 21:03

They were funny, but DP and me had planned this candlelit HB to the sound of a wonderful playlist, but the MWs kept on saying they'd go and sit in the other room and never did! Not that a gave a rats arse about candles or listening to massive Attack at this point. In fact the G&A was the main focus of my birthing exp.

LOL at the sound of your poo hitting the bed Grin

moosemama · 13/09/2010 21:03

Yes, how on earth do you all manage to brush their teeth? Confused The boys were always really compliant and just let us do it - dd on the other had wriggles, fights, kicks and bites! Shock Its nigh on impossible. I have a horrible feeling she is going to be the only one of my children to end up with fillings.

stripeywoollenhat · 13/09/2010 21:04

tooth brushing is a flippin' nightmare. full on tantrums, twice a day, and you can't not do it....

OP posts:
treedelivery · 13/09/2010 21:06

Wow stripey! Busy day! Can't believe C was asleep before you left room. DD2 had half her normal nap and it has taken3 hours to get her into her cot and askeep.

treedelivery · 13/09/2010 21:07

DD2 has visably yellow teeth. She allows NOONE in there, but will merrily suck on the toothbrush for hours.

moosemama · 13/09/2010 21:09

Dd is still up. Hmm Currently posting letters in her wooden postbox and not showing a hint of relenting any time soon.

I would take her up to her cot to settle, but am bound to fall asleep and totally miss the arrival of the newest member of our thread.

teaandcakeplease · 13/09/2010 21:11

I let them chew on the tooth brush for a while and then quickly finish it off. DD for a while she'd clean my teeth whilst I cleaned hers. That was good, then she started resisting. The deal was no story until her teeth were sparkly! Now she has a special pink tooth paste and after she lets me scrub them with the usual milk teeth one, she can have some of that too.

DS I'm afraid I pin him down whether he likes it or not Shock As I can't reason with him about this at all, but I always say well done after and give him a big smile. Hoping he'll get the message soon Hmm

moosemama · 13/09/2010 21:11

Dd loves her toothbrush, just not actually using it as a toothbrush iykwim. She does a good line in fake brushing sound effects, but sadly her teeth have seen very little actual brushing. Her high chair on the other hand is beautifully clean! Grin

(The bathroom is off the kitchen by the way, we don't all brush our teeth in the kitchen.)

hackneyzoo · 13/09/2010 21:13

Right, am resorting to taking my puter to bed in order to keep up wit Dog and read at the same time.

treedelivery · 13/09/2010 21:14

dd2 is officially asleep. DH has gone to print 35 party invites, I need to get sorted for the morning. SO happy it's a school dinner day Smile

Need to make formula. Bleurgh. I hate doing the bottles.

Still hungry after my sandwich. Poor dh, he hasn't stopped since 6am, and this is normal for him.

Saw your fb status about patronising diy shope man, you lovely wee lass you. Wink So irritating.

hackneyzoo · 13/09/2010 21:22

Tree now I have te word 'amnio hook' stuck in my head with a vary worrying image....arghh , (It's just a tiny little hook though isn't it? Not like the hook on Captain Hook's arm?)
