Sept 08 - Our LO's are nearly 2, and they're hiding to do a poo (is it time for potty training, not until it stops this raining)

I am being unusually organised and my Xmas shopping has kicked up a gear - I bought the DC's Xmas eve pyjamas this weekend and started to get bits for their stockings. XP's family are very generous and will buy the dc's loads of toys so I will be able to get away with a book and a toy from me for their main present Smile.

debi I haven't done a bear yet..... Bear.... that's better.

MrsA DS calls me by my real name as he hears my mum and sister doing it. He thinks he's being hilarious.

CappuccinoCarrie · 22/11/2010 09:54

How do you do the bear?!!

mrsa the waiting is killing me too - if you get pg then it gives me hope that I might one day too! Its swi week here, and date night tonight Grin

DD has slept awfully the past few nights, waking up just crying and crying. So we're shattered, and she's shattered and whingy. Its 10am monday and the DCs have watched nearly an hour of tv already Blush

This weekend was the first one where the DCs haven't had swimming lessons. We were a bit fed up of the early start on a saturday. We're going to try and go as a family next weekend, at a time that suits us! Does mean I have to shave my legs though as previously DH was always the one in the pool and now we'll both have to be.

Debs75 · 22/11/2010 12:39

MrsA Robyn calls DP by his name as she soon cottoned on that if she shouted 'Daddy' whenhe was in bed he ignored her but if she shouted 'Gary' he would shout back. She uses his name if he doesn't answer quick enough now.
Talking of Daddy she has fallen in love with him all over again. He spent a week at a job club and she missed him loads. When he came home she would just leap on him and not let him go. Now he is at home full time she follows him around, asks for him and just generally wzants to be with him.
On the downside she thinks it is funny to tell me to 'go away mummy'

becaroo · 22/11/2010 14:35

ds1 has got an awful cold/cough (was up at 5am this morning retching into the loo) and so is not at school today. sigh. Only been there a week and he is off sick already. this does not bode well for the rest of winter Sad He has got his paed app on thurs so may get put back on his other meds that he came off in July.

Toby doesnt finish his ABs til tomorrow...its been a long 10 days....

Very, very fed up.

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 22/11/2010 14:46

Sounds like it's a rotten Monday for some of us. I tested last night and got BFN but still no AF and no symptoms of it. BUT as I take my waking temperature everyday, it's dropped loads which is not good.
Am gearing myself up for AF to arrive and thus having a f**ked up cycles of at least 36 days.
Not happy.

Ah becs sounds like a nasty cough/cold. C's had one for over a week now. We put towels under her pillow to raise her head and it seems to help her sleep.

C is still totally in love with me Grin. Only I can do most things for her. She will let DP dry her hair and brush her teeth and that's about it. even pushing her buggy or carrying her upstairs gets a 'No daddy No!!'

I think he feels quite rejected TBH and he loses his temper with her quite easily because of it (just shouty daddy, going on about discpline, nowt serious). I try to keep my temper and remain calm and then get accused of being soft Biscuit

Got it

becaroo · 22/11/2010 18:41

mrsa really hope you get your bfp...my cycles were really long pre dc...35 days! they are all over the bloody place now Sad

Toby is also a bit full of mummy love Grin My dh also gets a bit upset about it but its natural at this age I think.

Hopefully ds1 will be back at school tomorrow - sorry for my rather self indulgent post earlier. I HATE mondays.

Tee hee.

My kids both adore DH, which is irritating on the one hand as I'm the one with them all day but when we're both around I'm surplus to requirements, but fantastic in that when he gets home from work he brings a fresh burst of enthusiasm, silliness and laughter, which is precisely why they love him so much!

DS also has a temp here. No swearing today, thank god. Playing happily with dh who he occasionally calls by his first name, but only when shouting from upstairs and dh is downstairs (I think he's copying me). He also calls his GM 'mum' when I'm not around Hmm.

mrsa my cycles between the last two mc's were 40 days long and was told by epu nurse that they weren't long enough to be considered abnormal.

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 22/11/2010 21:44

Hey DG yeah, i know 36 days or so are not unusual. i'm just frustrated that after 2 years of 28-32 days, I've suddenly lengthened. Sigh. Am sure AF is about to arrive any moment now.

hey ho, off to watch i'm a celeb in bed with hot choc.

Woohoo, a bank holiday for my 30th birthday Smile. Thanks David Cameron. I think some couple who are waaaayyyyy less important than me might be getting married on that day too Grin

Took ds2 swimming again this morn (and I went last night, I'll grow flippers soon) and he was a completely different child to last week. Was excited to go and way more confident. Jumping in off the side and swam a whole length of the baby pool with holding on to me.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 23/11/2010 13:52

I'm due on your 30th Debi. Do you think I'll get a telegram or something for giving birth on the same day as the royal wedding? Grin

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you MrsA. Do you think you may have had a delayed ovulation, which could lead to a longer cycle than normal? I always noted down when I was ill/stressed on my charts as this can delay ovulation, then I could refer back if I had a longer cycle than expected. However sometimes there was no clue - which was annoying.

DS is a total daddy's boy, which I LOVE. I don't get a look in when dh is about - it's great. I think it appeals to the lazy cow in me Grin

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 23/11/2010 20:02

AF arrived today. Not happy. Opening bottle of wine.

DebiTheScot · 23/11/2010 20:40

Sad mrsA. Enjoy the wine.

Meglet · 23/11/2010 21:33

Is anyone else on here doing the 30 Day Shred DVD? I was intruiged after seeing the other threads on it and bought it from Amazon. It's 3 different levels of 20 mins circuits and it's actually rather good, I thought it might be a bit wimpy but my arms are hurting after doing it evenings in a row. I don't want to lose weight though so am going to eat more protein and carbs to build my muscle up, I managed half a bag of cashews earlier and just ate some nice chicken and a glass of wine.

The DC's had their photos taken at nursery today, I'm itching to see what they look like Hmm.

MrsA Sad Sorry it didn't happen this month.

CappuccinoCarrie · 24/11/2010 13:22

Oh mrsA I'm so sorry :( I really really want this for you, I feel like if either of us or NC get pg then it'll be a huge encouragement to the others that it can happen!

I'm in total baking overdrive. Muffins on monday, brownies yesterday, got sundried tomato foccacia in the bread machine at the mo. Have had to invite people round purely to help me eat it all up Blush

fanny and mama if you're still reading and you happen to be passing by...please come and eat cake!!!

Builder supposed to be coming round later to discuss the outstanding jobs and we need to have a go at him for uselessness of late but are both rubbish at any sort of confrontation or being mean...!

CappuccinoCarrie · 24/11/2010 13:49

And where is D&S these days? hopefully has not been on MN at all much lately, if you're still lurking then we're thinking of you and hope the bump is blooming!

becaroo · 24/11/2010 17:18

Sorry it hasnt happened for you this month mrsa Sad

I have been wondering about hopefully too. Hope shes ok.

Well, horrid day today. ds1 back at school but toby gets so upset and misses him so much Sad dh and I really not getting on at all at the moment - partly my fault. I have spent a teeny bit too much on the dc this xmas Grin and I am fed up to the back teeth of bloody decorating Angry

Ds1's paed app tomorrow morning....just what I need...sigh

Meglet · 24/11/2010 23:14

... and where is Splish. I hope she's ok.

becaroo Tell us, what did you buy?

DD bit one of the staff at nursery today. Words have been had. And I have started the "Father Christmas won't come if you've not been behaving nicely...." comments Grin.

Debs75 · 25/11/2010 08:20

Robyn has a place at the local nursery from January. we are going for upto 12 hours a week spread out over the whole year. She has to do at least 2 hours a day but not more then 6. I'm looking forward to it but I will miss her loads

becaroo · 25/11/2010 11:14

debs I miss ds1 more than I could ever have imagined...he is finding the transition to school a lot easier than me or toby!

ds1 got on ok at the paed, his lung function tests were the best they have ever been Smile but there is an issue with his immune system (or lack of one!) so he is back on his meds til march. sigh.

I have bought way too much this year! I am too embarrassed to tell you, honestly. ds1 is now at the age when he wants nintendo stuff and bits of plastic tat just wont cut it anymore!!

I start too early - thats my problem - I have had some great bargains in the amazon and next sales BUT it all adds up!

Ds1 is getting a new bike from PIL and SIL and he and toby are getting a nintendo wii from my family. THEN all the stuff I have got them....oh dear. Am having a guilt induced clear out for our local hospice and taking a load of stuff there to make way for all the new stuff Blush

Please tell me I am not the only one of us who has done this??????? Grin

ds1 is getting to the age when he will want money for b days and xmas soon which is fine by me!!! Will hopefully stop me going mad on amazon Smile

Am still looking at options for toby for next year sometime....wasnt too impressed with the pre school I saw last week but have another one to look at and a CM.

dh is hinting that I might be getting a kindle from santa!!! Hooray!!!!
