The bump is doing very well - incredibly active! Can't believe it's due in just under five weeks (but could well be here sooner - eek!). Good luck with number two - looking forward to hearing you announce your due date!

LucyJones · 12/12/2005 21:18

aw thanks

HM - 5 weeks???!!! I'd completely lost track and can't believe it's that soon!!

HunkerXmasAndAMunkerNewYear · 12/12/2005 22:19

LOL Dot! So had I - still seems surreal that I'll be a Mum Of Two in a month or so!

Chuffingoodtime · 14/12/2005 02:33

dd is just a parrot at the moment repeating almost every word that comes out of anyones mouth and she can now say her own name which is rather cute.
LJ ttc is the stressful bit. Agree with waiting on that 'due date'.
HM how scary is it, sometimes I wonder how I'll cope with the 2 but I suppose it will just 'be' IYKWIM.

hunkermunker · 14/12/2005 15:12

DS's struggling with his own name - said mine the other day though - lol!

Chuffed, it's daunting! I can't wait though (am mad!).

tracyk · 16/12/2005 09:23

Do you worry that you won't love No 2 as much as No1? I can't imagine feeling as much love towards anyone ever again!
ds can almost say his name - he says Foss (Ross).

LucyJones · 16/12/2005 09:48

Chuffed - I'm trying not to get too obsessed but it's so hard

hunkermunker · 16/12/2005 09:54

TK, no, I've never had that worry. I know I love my mum and my dad, my brother and my sister, my DH and my DS - it's not a finite emotion. I'm head-over-heels with my beautiful boy, but I cannot wait to meet his sibling and get to know him or her.

I didn't know it was possible to feel the all-encompassing depth of love I have for DS - I can't wait to feel it for another baby

Chuffingoodtime · 17/12/2005 06:46

Tracy I sometimes wonder a little as dd will probably be the first to have done something etc which does take away from the baby, but everybody says that you feel nervous and as soon as they are born or get personality etc you can't imagine just one.
Can't believe it is about to happen so soon.

MrsDoolittle · 17/12/2005 12:46

Hi Ladies, I can't believe I have only 9 weeks to go!! I gave no idea where the time has gone. I am definately bigger this time and I really do feel heavier. I have succumbed to the dungarees thing, I got so fed up of pulling my jeans up and my lovely cord skirt is getting rather tight around my tummy it's making driving uncomfortable. So I now am wearing a pair of dungarees!
Dh - "I don't know what to say, Love"
Me - "Well say something"
Dh - "You do look like a teletubby."
I'm afraid it's true but atleast I'm alot more comfortable now. Everyone says that it must be a boy. Well, I know it is.
I'm looking forward to Christmas, everyone is looking forward to seeing dd open her presents.
At our Christmas 'do' during the week a colleague said to me "Don't let anyone tell you that it's (the birth)going to be easier this time"
"Oh No, but everyone has told me it will be miles easier this time, I was induced last time and it was horrible"
"Don't you believe it, I found it worse, much worse!" Says my colleague who had a girl and a boy respectively!!

MrsDoesChristmas · 17/12/2005 13:04

Ooop forgot my Christmas name!
Have a lovely one!!!

ohFennelyeHerbful · 17/12/2005 13:52

hi all

so exciting, all these babies. my sister had her second this week. (induced at 2 weeks over, a second traumatic birth, not her planned home birth, she says next time she'll go straight for an elective section). so we have a cute new nephew Seth.

dd3 loves the new baby and keeps insisting we go round to visit. she tries to feed him with a dolls bottle.

there are worse things than dungarees. think floral smocks such as pregnant women wore in the 80's.....

Chuffingoodtime · 18/12/2005 08:50

MrsD at least you get to layer on, I'm down to one of my pairs of shorts as the other for some reason are smaller yet the same size if you know what I mean. I have a skirt too but find I'm quite ungainly in that for during the day and don't really want to be showing all my bits. Tops are just at that just about to be not covering the bottom of the bump too so 3wks tomorrow.
BBQ season have had 2 this weekend it is lovely socialising in the sunshine, dd spent almost all day at the beach today and just loves it. I'll stop rubbing it in now sorry.
Well off to bed, chat soon!

MrsDoesChristmas · 19/12/2005 11:39

Chuffingoodtime - You sound so well. All the very best. Hope you are sleeping well xxx

MrsDoesChristmas · 19/12/2005 12:29

Hi Ladies, have you entered the Italian beak competition?

MrsDoesChristmas · 19/12/2005 12:30

Errr break that is!!

ohFennelyeHerbful · 19/12/2005 13:01

just gone off to do it Mrs D, thanks for the tip. but it's a 4 day holiday for a family of 4 (would have to smuggle dd3 in) without flights included. not THAT great a deal.

went to my first mumsnet meetup yesterday. it was fun. met scary big name mumsnetters and we drank too much. really feeling the worse for wear today. 8 hours in a pub with little food. can't take the pace any more.....

MrsDoesChristmas · 19/12/2005 13:40

Yes I am finding DD quite clingy at the moment. I assumed she is sensing something is up. She keeps walking around with her hands on her back and sticking her tummy out!
Dh thinks it's hilarious.

lunavix · 19/12/2005 14:10

Hi ladies I've been lurking for a while... Work's been manic and apart from a few new words ds is pretty much the same! Very stroppy as usual, lots of words now... lots of names, biscuit, please, tree, thank you .... still gorgeous

I've taken on three new children (I'm a CM) and I'm now FULLLLLLLLLL!!!! So exciting And I still get two days off! (so not techinically FULLL but happy enough) I now have ds (20 months) twins 30 hours a week who are 28 months, a 6 year old, an 8 year old and a nine year old!!!

plus.... shhhhhh.. (whispers) I think I'm pregnant!

I did a test which was negative on friday, did one today and it's positive! I've felt like I am for a while (hence doing two so close, as I was sure) but I'm a little worried I may have m/c as I've been really ill with a lot of pain recently... will have to wait and see.

So yayyyyy

MrsDoesChristmas · 19/12/2005 14:12

Fingers crossed Lunavix

lunavix · 19/12/2005 14:17

I know.. I've felt pg for a while but didn't test. I last tested in July and wasn't, but I have a few worries. Came off depo in July and worried that this could affect the baby (and possibly cause the m/c if that's whats happened) and because I've only had one 14 day period since I have no idea for any dates!

I know I should phone the docs and make an appointment!
