lol. DH sleeps straight through often, too. Then I get really Hmm with him when he yawns and says how tired he is in the morning!

Does he only go half day for just a little while or for the full year, myjob?

Poor you and N with little sleep :(

I'm sure she enjoys playing with you and going on the school run! How long of a walk is it for you to do the school run? Is there a bus or do you walk even in the rain?

loulou33 · 05/10/2010 21:52

Happy birthday to Star, Stan and for W and M for later in the week [i'm not sure if i have this right but hey ho]

ronshar - good luck for thurs - ouch to sinus op but it'll be better once its over with.

Star - good luck with the smear on Thurs.

So, stitches out on Monday and the relief I cannot describe Grin no infection apparently and I braved a little peak at them and they look fine [phew].

DH's dad is very ill and he has rushed 200 miles to see him tonight. I am so glad he made it and he phoned in tears to say its hard to see his dad dying Sad. His brother/sister-in-law went on hols to the US on Sat for 17 days and we have no way of reaching him without calling their teenage kids. i don't want to upset them but may have to call them in the middle of the night to get their parents hotel details. Am a bit annoyed that they went and that they didn't give us a contact number, each to their own I guess...
Don't know when he'll be home so its single mum time for a few days. Have hellish day at work tom so have called in loads of favours to get J to nursery, DS1 picked up off school bus etc etc etc.....knackered....

oh and DS1 got into a fight at school...HE'S FOUR FFS. came home covered in mud, its all going on at once! I think he's knackered by half-term for 2 weeks starts Friday so lets hope its a one-off fight Hmm
right off to hang out the washing and polish DS1's shoes as they are covered in mud, then bed xx

loulou33 · 05/10/2010 21:53

god, that post was soooo miserable...

on a happier note, J told me 'uv oo mummy' at bedtime, bless his little heart

StarExpat · 05/10/2010 22:09

Oh I can't wait for Q to say that! :) :)

:( So sorry for all that's happening to you at the moment, loulou. Poor dh and his family. Is there any way the siblings can get back here to see their dad?

myjob is N getting the 2 year molars, too? I know that's what kept Q up. They still aren't all through and struggling a bit but nowhere near what it was before.

Wow you must have a heavy duty raincover and buggy! On nice days, could you cycle with N in an infant seat and B on his on bike?

Q is loving his balance bike, though it is a bit tricky when he gets off as it doesn't stand up on it's own and that confuses him!

ronshar · 06/10/2010 12:07

Oh Loulou. What a hard week for you all. Your poor DH.Sad

My op has been changed again. Only until Friday this time. W bday is on FridaySad Never mind I'm sure he wont care/remember that I wasnt there.
To make matters worse I have an ear infection. More anti'bs.

Myjob sounds like the pesky molar are causing trouble. Should come through quickly. W has all his now. Took about 2 weeks all in. I'm pleased B is enjoying school. It makes life alot easier in the morning if they go in happily.

I know Pistachio. I know. I am actually looking forward to the excuse to just stay in bed for a couple of days while DH does everything. He is notGrin

DD2 used to do that all the time. I was always greeted by a bag of wet pants!! She was just too busy having fun. SO no helpful hints from me. Sorry.
How are you?

Oh yes you live in a lovely area, myjob! That's a nice road but I know what you mean about not being safe to ride on.

Ronshar can you celebrate on Thursday? W will never know :) days in bed sounds loooovely!

Smear test tomorrow. Dh has a meeting so I need to bring Q. Any ideas of what to do with him during the procedure? Ughhh. Fingers crossed it works out this time, too

Coconutfeet · 06/10/2010 19:33

Loulou - So sorry that your family is having such a difficult time at the moment. Poor DH.

Myjob - I bet all that walking keeps you fit. I used to walk to work and really enjoyed it and I hate that I have to drive now in order to get ds to the CM and me to school in good time.

Pistachio - Sympathies for all the wet pants. Someone gave me a bag of clothes for ds and it's got lots of boys pants in it. I find it really hard to imagine that he'll be wearing them insteada of a nappy one day.

Star - Ocado delivery came and was marvellous. The only thing that could have made it better would have been if they came and put it in the fridge for me. To their credit Asda did finally contact me following my complaint and are refunding my delivery fee and giving me a voucher for free delivery, but I'd have to be really desperate to use that.

I've got a question: When you gave up BFing did you find that you got horrendous cramps/felt really hormonal/PMT the first month? Although I gave up about a month ago, this is my first full cycle and I feel bloody dreadful - really crampy and hormonal and I'm not due on for another week. I used to get horrible PMT before having S and I wondered whether it could be my hormones cranking into action again.

loulou33 · 06/10/2010 19:50

good luck tomorrow Star, i have had to take ds1 and ds2 to dr with me. they usually have a big box of toys in each room for them to tip out so I manage to get most of the consultation done before they get bored. How bout taking a bag of toys with you just in case and some favourite foods. Could anyone else have him for you for the 1/2hour?? Its not the easiest thing to have done if you have to do childcare too....good luck!!

DH's dad died this morning. He managed to get there in time last night and he spent several hours with him comforting him. He's been busy helping organise all the stuff. There has to be an inquest and pm as he was claiming compensation from his employer for exposing him to asbestos which caused the cancer. Dh is likely to be away til sat as its his mam's birthday on fri Sad and there's no way she should spend the day alone. DH has not been able to reach his brother yet....crap day..

On a better note, ds1's fight turned out to be him being pushed over by another boy and he pushed him back - hardly a fight, slightly over-dramatic teacher i thinkConfused

CF - i think my first period was pretty grim iirc as it was a year ago...one of the downsides of stopping bf i suppose Sad

StarExpat · 06/10/2010 20:31

Oh loulou :( Sympathies to your dh and family. Good that he got to be there with him for his last hours. Still very difficult to lose a parent. :(

Coconutfeet · 06/10/2010 20:34

So sorry to hear that Loulou.

Star - Good luck tomorrow. What a pain that you've got ds with you as well. Loulou's suggestions sound good. I hope you're able to work it out.

Coconutfeet · 06/10/2010 21:42

Thanks Pistachio - I've been taking EPO for a while now (for TTC purposes). Maybe I should up the dose... I'm amazed by how different this cycle has been compared to while I was BFing. I didn't realise that BFing could make such a difference.

Pistachio- Thanks. Smile I think I'm one of those people whose fertility is affected by BFing. I do temperature charting and this month I had a much stronger ovulation and my temps are much higher (all good things BTW).

Star - Hope it goes OK for you today.

StarExpat · 07/10/2010 09:25

Fingers crossed for you, cf :) I hope it works for you soon!
