Maybe they will all still fit, cf... In which case Envy mine went back to pre pregnancy size.

Do you give him water or milk with the banana? I find Q is thirsty when he wakes - also hungry but more thirst.

coconutfeet · 05/09/2010 09:10

Yes, milk as well Star.

TBH I would quite like it if my bust got a bit smaller. It really limits the kind of clothes I can wear at the moment. I just should have thought a bit more carefully before shelling out for nice bras - I was still wearing breasrfeeding bras and they were just awful!

StarExpat · 05/09/2010 09:10

Just been on a shoe thread and realised I hadn't shared this with you all... I found this website called shoesforkids and it has Clarks and other well known and trusted brands. I just typed in 6.5G and listed all shoes I could get. I bought 3 pair and paid less total than the 1 pair in Clarks would have cost me Shock.
I got a pair of Clarks, a pair of "buckle my shoe" and another clarks - brilliant w returns too but all fit perfectly only returned one because he doesn't need 3 pair.
Just wanted to pass the bargain along:)

Honeymoonmummy · 05/09/2010 20:33

Nice one Star! csws, your school pics were so cute, did you cry?

Cf I didn't have that problem either, she mustn't have been having much at the end, I think you should express too. Well done on your momentous decision and well done for doing it for so long x Funnily enough, pops got a bit boob obsessed at bedtime tonight and asked for milk after messing with my bra for a bit. First time in months! I think she's coming down with something so that would explain it. She was happy with a cup instead!

StarExpat · 05/09/2010 20:35

Q never asked for bf after he stopped. I think he's completely forgotten about it and doesn't remember that he used to get milk from there.

StarExpat · 05/09/2010 20:41

awww csws those pics are so adorable :)

CantSleepWontSleep · 05/09/2010 21:35

No, no tears hmm .

Have any of you weighed your toddlers recently? We weighed ds this weekend, and he's already over 15kg - that's heavy enough for the car seats that are meant to start around 4 years old!

cf - do express a bit each time you start to feel engorged, or you could end up with mastitis.

StarExpat · 05/09/2010 21:58

I imagine parents with more than 1 dc at home still were all the opposite of teary at first day school drop off Grin.

Ooh I'm with you on dogs pistachio - hate having them free to wander up to any of us. Ds is pretty good with them, but dd isn't, and I'm not at all keen myself.

Dd certainly isn't still in her toddler seat - she's a good way over the weight limit for one! I can't remember exactly when we moved her up, but I'm pretty sure that it was before she turned 3. I think that your dd should be ok until her eyes are level with the top of the seat. She should still be able to sleep in a high backed booster though, just not in a reclined position.

Q uses a highback booster with a 5(4?) point harness and sleeps very soundly and comfortably in it. It's the Mothercare advance sp. In cloud :) We love it.
Q has been correctly naming colours for a little while now but won't say yellow. Finally this morning he's said yellow :) ah the small pleasures!!

Yes, I love that about the mothercare advance sp one - he can be in 5 point harness, then just a highback then just a regular booster as the back removes. Genius! He's been in this one since 9 months and comfy for sleeping and being awake. Headrest thing on it is key. We need to move it up a bit now as I looked back today and he had grown a bit :(

50ftQueenie · 06/09/2010 18:05

Hello hello. I was another one who did not shed a single tear on DS's first day of school.

CSWS - DD did look adorable in her school photos. Grin D looked very grown up too!

Star - Wow well done Q! M knows a few colours but will only name them when she feels like it.

Pistachio - Argh to the dog incident. I HATE dogs, vile smelly creatures and dog owners like the one you encountered drive me mad. As an adult if a huge dog came bounding over to me I would be unimpressed, as a tiny small girl it must be terrifying. I don't understand this country's obsession with dogs etc. Look at the ridiculous reaction to that woman putting the cat in the bin.... Hmm

Hello everyone else. I am hopefully back to the land of the sane as I only have M to deal with in the day. Today was lovely, so calm and peaceful.... Until DS came home

Hi all, not much to report here. Just watching in the night garden before bedtime, it's now a necessary ritual.... Dh back at work today and pops back to normal nursery days. I'm totally knackered, will be in bed about 5 mins after Pops tonight!

StarExpat · 06/09/2010 19:43

Wait what is the date, again?

The date of pistachios visit that is!!
Q can also tell you if he has "two" of anything. If it's more, he'll say "I have more". If 2, "I have two!" if just one, "I need my twos!"(and waits for another of whatever it is) Grin
he can also name circle and square and heart and star. And I don't use flashcards or teach him anything. So relieved he can do stuff my friend's performing seal could do a few months ago as a result of flashcards and teaching Wink

StarExpat · 06/09/2010 21:17

I just saw fb post. I can't wait!

:) :) :)

ronshar · 06/09/2010 21:27

Hellooooo ladies.
I am still alive. I also haven't shed a tear on the first day. However the first school play gets me every time. H dressed as the angel gabriel. So totally out of character it may be sobBlush

CSWS. Well done to P on her first day. Sounds like a good start for her. I watched a year 2 child sobbing this morning. Three years in and still crying. Nightmare.

Oi 50ft. You stay away from my cats. Cruel bin ladyWink

CF. Should I say well done or oh dear about no more BF? I found it less painful to stand in the shower and let some leak out. Not that it is relevant for you now! I hope your new class is good and your mini beasts are safe this time!

Star how are your children this year? Got some good ones? Or some really bad onesGrin

Myjob. Poor N & her poor bottom. It will pass, just keep up a good barrier of cream to take the edge off & it will go soon. It normally does. Still not nice for her.Sad

HMM. I have always put my children in normal beds with safety sides. The Tomy one with the mesh is brilliant. It hooks under the matress so they cant get stuck or move/knock the side off. I know of several people who have got baby beds with 6,7,8 years olds in because they are too scared to put them in proper beds. My friends dd fell out of bed on holiday and refused to get back in because it was too high. She was 10!!!
W now has the side off his bed and he hasnt fallen out once.
You can get hooks to anchor the duvet to the sheet. That stops the problem of falling out as they cant get past the duvet.

Pistachio I love your DD saying she has lost her word for please. A clever little monkey you have there. She is going to give you so much trouble when she is olderGrinWink

Hello to anyone I have missed.

StarExpat · 06/09/2010 22:06

My class are 15 angels, ronshar :) I adore them already. A tricky new one tomorrow. Will fb about it later tomorrow as would be tmi on here but would like some cultural perspective if anyone has some to give :)

Q still has his bed guard. I'll def remove it before he starts school! He's still really careless and tossy turny in sleep.

I will shed a bucket of tears on his first day of school.

ronshar · 06/09/2010 23:04

No you wont Star. You will be hard hearted by then. Just like the rest of us with older childrenWink Who knows by then you might have another one to worry aboutGrin

StarExpat · 07/09/2010 09:49

Not unless we win the lottery....
