Anxious Conservatives thread!

As the lefties have one, we need one too.

I have everything crossed for them to win, by however small a margin, and red wine and arsenic ready in case they lose...

I daren't stay up as my nerves can't take it. I just desperately want to wake up to a Conservative government tomorrow morning.

Lefties, please don't intrude. I have deliberately started this thread so as not to pester you on your anxious thread. It feels mean and unnecessary to tell you why you are wrong on your own thread.

Can he not do anything without his wife though? And what's with the Oscar speech?

Cyclops · 11/05/2010 19:30

makes him seem more human!

lovely looking kids though

mistletoekisses · 11/05/2010 19:37

Gorgeous family he has. And despite my politic leanings, his speech bought a lump to the throat. But am still glad to see him go!

Now I am correct in saying that if the Queen invites Cameron to form a government, he can form a government without going the coalition route??

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 11/05/2010 19:47

mistletoe - he can, but unlikely that he will I think.

Personally I have high hopes for a Con/Lib coalition.

Cartoose · 11/05/2010 20:44

Strix · 12/05/2010 07:23

I made blue pancakes and (yellow) scrambled eggs for the kids this morning in celebration of our blue and yellow coalition.

I can't believe they haven't told the children anything about the election. Not even that here was one. So, DD (7) got a crash course politics from me last night.

lemonmuffin · 12/05/2010 08:16

It's a beautiful day here, blue skies and sunshine. See, even the weather's better under the Tories

skihorse · 12/05/2010 09:05

I'm really rather a fan of coalitions (I live in NL) - and for me, this is the "perfect" one - I just hope it doesn't descend in to babyish slanging matches between backbenchers - although I think I ask too much.

Now, if that nice Mr Clegg could only help me with my Dutch tax return he'd win me over 100%!

Cartoose · 12/05/2010 09:58

Good morning

Strix, my son's (6) school haven't mentioned the election either. Strange, as I think it's a great learning opportunity. He knows quite a bit from me but I am surprised at the school.

Love the blue pancakes. Yup, the skies are all BLUE today.
