In '97 we had two bottles of Champagne on ice. Sadly not this evening.

50ftqueenie, 'The sun ain't gonna shine any more, then moon ain't going to rise in the sky, when you're without Labour love.'

Had a special afternoon nap in order to stay up and watch it this evening, I'm trying to stay positive....

thetoriesaretoast · 06/05/2010 18:18

Hooray, I have a new name.

monkeysmama · 06/05/2010 18:22

Hello again

Haven't read all posts. Back from depressing Barking - low turn out. Still time but dd was tired, it was grim & I had had enough.

Cooking arroz con pollo for dinner. Got other lefties coming over to mum's (my mum makes Rosa Luxemborg look right wing) to suffer together.

I'm feeling like sh&t. I know Nazis exist but seeing the hatred in their faces is pretty chilling. Tomorrow may feel a million times worse than when foolish Boris won the Mayoral election. Must say, UKIP photo on front of Metro cheered me up.

I really wanted to vote labour but had to go second best and voted to keep the tories out instead.

DH has just rung from work. He's on his way home. Wants to pick up comfort food on the way. We'll spend the night trembling.

Just taken the blue duvet cover off the bed in a fit of superstition and put a white one on instead. Feel like I'm surrendering but don't have yellow or red.

Feeling v nervous fellow lefties.

LeninGrad I like your 'I blame the Tories' catchphrase.

Thanks to MN I discovered IBTP on a feminist thread (I remember you saying you read it). I feel a theme coming on to cheer me up for the next decade.

KermitTheFrog · 06/05/2010 18:35

Well, we didn't have a green candidate, sadly. But I voted to keep the blues and loons out.

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 06/05/2010 18:35

Hello all...

As I said on another thread ...I feel sick

It will be a long long night.

I have wine, nuts and various meze ...but will have to be up at 7am for the children.

May try to pull a proper all nighter....

I've voted - never seen such queues before. Plan is to head upstairs to my neighbours for wine comfort so that I won't be alone with my weeping

What are we watching, TV wise, lefties? Beeb?

KermitTheFrog · 06/05/2010 18:38

It's got to be Channel Five with Ian Wright and Melinda Messenger, surely?
