There was a lot of talk about what the Lib Dems would do in the event of a hung parliament.

Gordon, what would you do?

mymuchness · 03/05/2010 20:32

Mr Brown - what plans are there for better care for the elderly? My grandmothers recently died and at the end of their lives had very poor levels of care - both at home and in hospital. It was a huge sadness to see people suffer in their twilight days.

alysonpeaches · 03/05/2010 20:33

Thanks Gordon, Good luck on Thursday, so glad you came to talk to us.

GordonBrown · 03/05/2010 20:33

It's been great to be here - just off to sign the visitors book, and prepare for the final crucial three days campaigning. I'm fighting for your future and it's all to play for. Now it's for you to decide.

Bumperliouzzzzzz · 03/05/2010 20:33

I assume you are off soon Mr Brown, you didn't answer my question on the gold. It wasn't an attacking question but if I am going to defend you as I often try to I'd like to know how to defend that one.

Anyway, I think that all things considered you have done a great job, a tough job, and I wouldn't do it for your wages.

I'm not sure how many of us really believe we are going to wake up to a Labour Government on Friday, but well done, and please make sure Labour have a fighting chance next time round.

VirtualPA · 03/05/2010 20:33

You are answering questions that, whilst important, will not make the huge changes we need. You are not answering questions.... you are picking them.

Jux · 03/05/2010 20:33

Has he gone then Justine?

MmeLindt · 03/05/2010 20:34

Good luck, Gordon. Hope that you are terribly busy on Friday morning.

cornsilk · 03/05/2010 20:34

Bye Gordon - good luck.

Greensleeves · 03/05/2010 20:34

bit of a shame so many fluffy light-hearted questions were given time while serious issues aruond education/SN provision were ignored

still, better than nothing I suppose

x100 - not all of these answers are honest and straight. And GB has got his figures wrong on the deficit figures.....

lou031205 · 03/05/2010 20:34

Of course he's picking them, VirtualPA - he couldn't possibly answer all of them in the course of an hour and a quarter's chat!

sfxmum · 03/05/2010 20:35

considering? yes I can consider many things but don't actually always meant to do them

besides they needs the Irish votes if minority government and will not upset the religious
see alignment in EU

evening PM as you were

ShadeofViolet · 03/05/2010 20:35

Thanks PM, and good luck for Thursday. I do hope you win

Beachcomber · 03/05/2010 20:35

Agree with you 100x it is obvious he is doing it spontaneously - look at what he has said to hunker for example.

Mr Brown you are indeed a good 'un, keep up the good work!

octothechildherder · 03/05/2010 20:35

THank you

hunkermunker · 03/05/2010 20:35

Jeffner, I know. Am doing much to approach this issue from a different perspective - getting good feedback, too Changing the regulations will help a great deal though - top-down messages v powerful, but also needs grass root things doing. Lots of interesting things to juggle, for sure!

(Sorry for hijacking thread a bit!)
