You had a chance to put a stop to the dodgy little lying, pathetic twat and you blew it.

Now we have to listen to his bollocks and hate inducing garbage for longer.

9,000 people voted for a bin rather than this swindler.

He can’t even bring himself to come to your town to accept the vote. He is laughing at you.

Real “man of the people’ - why can’t you see that he doesn’t give a crap about you or your problems?

Oh well at least the investigation into the £5mill can resume.

What a fucking waste of time and money. Disgusting. Disappointed in you guys. 🙈

Farage wasnt even an MP when he received the money.
He probably needed since some slimy little toad (no names mentioned) cut his security detail off.

The rules are clear. You have to declare all money given to you up to a year before election. He didn't.

The Commons code of conduct states that new MPs "must register all their current financial interests, and any registrable benefits (other than earnings) received in the 12 months before their election within one month of their election". https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cn5pr0gp3gro

Reform UK leader Nigel Farage during a walkabout in King's Lynn, Norfolk, whilst on the campaign trail for the upcoming local elections. He is wearing a tweed jacked, checked shirt and tie and behind him stands a bald man with a beard.

Nigel Farage received £5m from donor Christopher Harborne before he became an MP

The Reform leader says the gift was for his personal security - but opponents say he should have declared it.

He stood against Burnham on a manifesto that elected mayors should serve their full terms before becoming an MP…

The problem is that many people will shape their opinions on personal experience.

And unfortunately there are many Reform voters who ARE uneducated, racist, xenophobic, and extremely right wing.

I hear lots of people online talking about how not all Reform supporters are bigoted racists, and I’m sure that must be true. But in real life, every Reform voter I know holds pretty unpleasant views. I heard one say (a few days ago) that white and black people “shouldn’t be allowed” to marry and have babies. I wish I was joking.

I think lots of it comes down to the reasoning - the Reform voters I know just hate immigrants. It doesn’t matter if they’re legal or illegal - they just hate anyone who’s not “English”. Not even British. English. And that’s why they vote Reform - it’s an opportunity for their really unpleasant views to be validated. See also Trump.

There are other people who are deeply concerned about immigration because they believe too many/unvetted people are arriving. It’s not driven by an intrinsic hatred of anything non-British. These people don’t tend to vote Reform.

It’s like Brexit all over again really. The root of the beliefs is the issue.

Abd it’s the same for the rest of their policies. They blindly trust Nigel to help the man on the street while he’s thumbing his nose at his constituency and taking multi-million backhanders.

I’ve never personally met a Reform voter who was well informed politically or genuinely open to debate. Just look at some of the comments on this thread about Labour - when the statistics show that Labour’s policies of tackling immigration at its source are having real impact, they’re not interested. Reform voters typically aren’t interested in Labour succeeding in tackling immigration, because that’s not Saint Nigel. That’s the difference.

FWIW, I have been extremely critical of Burnham’s route to power. I think he’s morally abused the system. But Farage is on a whole other level - I just hope forensic investigators are good enough to find out what’s going on. Farage has had time to hide the bodies, fiscally speaking.

I’m sure there must be decent Reform voters - I just haven’t met one myself. The old saying seems to be fit for adapted use here - not all Reform/Restore voters are racist, but all racists vote Reform/Restore. And that’s the issue.

If he has done nothing wrong then that will be proven. It doesn't stop him being investigated, quite right. We should hold all our politicians to a high standard.

Why are you bothered? You don't live in Clacton.

If Reform ever do get in, will the men in white coats have to take you away?

It costs everyone in the UK money as the investigation has to be re-opened, which also potentially means yet another by election costing hundreds of thousands of pounds.

100%
This is the issue. It pisses me off that people refuse, blank, to see what's going on.

And no, I've never met a kind reform voter either. One of my neighbours I see walking around told me he'd shoot all the people in the boats. I felt sick that not only people hold these views but felt ok to say them out loud and think it's just dandy.

Old Nige has just wasted all that money on one election. Achieved sweet FA. Back to square one.

One election was done out of ego and avoidance, if there's another because he has to stand down then that's the correct reason for an election.

Obviously if he was found to be guilty of any misconduct, yes. But Burnham doesn’t appear to have taken any bribes, he donates 15% of his salary to homeless charities.

The only Reform voter I know well is a former Tory Councillor with a degree - he is obviously well informed politically.

You are not very well informed yourself as the Labour government has mostly benefitted from tougher immigration policies enacted by the Conservatives before they left office. With regards to small boat arrivals, reductions in numbers will largely reflect the fall in asylum seekers generally across Europe over the last year.

What is your evidence for the assertion that the Conservatives introduced tougher immigration policies? They are the ones who put asylum seekers in hotels. That has caused a lot of the anger amongst reform voters.
