Yes, I agree. I've heard Ann's killer was a member of Jeremy Corbyn's Your Party. I think there's been radicalisation on the left of British politics and a rise in intolerance. Gaza and the trans debate has shown this. People on the right are now demonised to such an extent that their safety is compromised, which seems to be what's happened here.

It's a very worrying development and everyone in public life suffers as a result.

I think the opposite has happened, it’s people on the left who are being demonised. Anyone who disagrees with a right wing view is denounced as a leftie.

That's probably because of the hyperbole around calling right wingers far right fascists.

The use of far right fascist is a bit more severe than that.

The Left is notorious for indulging in purity spirals of who is more Left wing. It's in their DNA. The Hard/Far Left have decided gender critical feminists are 'far Right'. There are people in Your Party calling Jeremy Corbyn 'Far Right' because he apologised for anti semitism in the Labour Party ( with his fingers crossed) Of course there are people on the Right who do this but it's laughable to claim the Left haven't disappeared up their own arse on this. It's why historically the Left will never be united.

This Is what Ann constantly had to deal with but she stopped caring.

It was calling for mass socialist democratic representation in Your Party. Signatory number 1505 matched the name and town of the suspect

This has been picked up on by right wing accounts, so I'm sure those of the not right who abhor taint by association with something the Other Side might have found that's salient will find this easy to dismiss

Yes, there's definitely intolerance on the left. The bile directed at 'Terfs' and 'Zios' demonstrates this.

In fairness, I think there's been radicalisation at both ends of the spectrum, far right, far left and extremist Islamists as well.

It's very sad and will only serve to intimidate anyone who has views that someone else sees as unacceptable.

Re the Hard Lefts alliance with radical Islam, it's the horseshoe theory in action- Radical Islam is Hard Right, and pretty fascistic at its extremes yet the Hard Left court them because they see little difference between them. Both extremes end up looking pretty similar, and just as nasty and intolerant as each other.

The hard left are despised by Islamic extremists. They just don't know it.

I did laugh when Spencer inferred the Reform MPs were grubby. That's while they were sat behind her in the Commons. She won't last five minutes. Just like Rayner. Resorting to personal insults. Ann would have eaten her for breakfast.

Yes, I imagine Reform MPs and councillors are genuinely upset at Ann's death. Partly because she was well liked and was a great spokeswoman for their policies. And also because they know that radicalisation on the left threatens them too.

I think security needs to be reviewed. Otherwise politicians who are gender critical, stand up for Isreal, believe in border control etc may end up being a target.

Reform have every right to feel threatened. They've also got the ridiculous conspiracy theories to deal with about Ann. What kind of mind even goes there to a UK politician having one of his own party members taken out. Absolutely grotesque.
