Badenoch is on BBC News standing in front of an armoured vehicle (she's not sitting in a tank yet, but give her time).
When told that the majority of Britons don't want to be involved in this war, she said that we would be if we understood what it meant.
She's happy to have a conversation with the PM, obviously he's too stupid too.
Only she has the intellect required to want to bomb people.

I don't agree with your interpretation of her support for the US. We were never asked to take part in offensive action against Iran.

Kemi B has said that the UK should have allowed USAF to use our bases from the start. Starmer obviously u turned and adopted her position last Sunday (after being initially over-ruled by Ed Milliband).
She has supported the UK taking defensive action to prevent further attacks on our people and assets abroad, "going for the archer rather than just catching arrows". She believes that Starmer has failed to provide adequate protection to our foreign bases. As do the people of Cyprus.

Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch has stepped up her calls for the government to authorise the RAF to strike Iran's missile launch sites.

Badenoch most definitely has done a U-turn.

Kemi Badenoch presses Starmer to strike Iranian missile sites

RAF jets have been shooting down missiles fired by Iran, but are not taking part in strikes on its sites.

You've misquoted her there.
She said Starmer was too scared to make foreign interventions.

With alll the new details emerging, I am pleased she has now changed her mind.

Did you read that before you posted it? That article explains my post above. Except she used a weapon vs bullets analogy, rather than archer vs arrows.
She hasn't u turned. Starmer has.

Would it be that bad if she had u-turned?

It is clear now that the US went in without a plan or exit strategy.

if they are using the intel from cia, nsa, and then spooks on the ground, it will likely be mixed plans or gives the appearance of mixed plans because like the public the enemies are also studing the general main stream media and also have their own spooks etc

ThatPearlkitty · 12/03/2026 20:06

im sure people seem to forget the world of 007 and just assume everything in the media is true

The irony of quoting Shakespeare in relation to an administration so lacking in culture, intelligence and humanity.

Your suggestion that ‘the USA would of had a plan’ (it’s ‘have’ a plan btw), somewhat contradicts the senators who were present in the classified briefing - but perhaps you know better with all of your 007 knowledge.

when you see shows like, alias, spooks, la femme nikita, the unit to get a better understanding of various aspects of espionage etc not to mention the cia library of intelligence studies then it does make one cynical of the main stream media

of course it "contradicts the senators" do you truly think they know all the parts of the war etc ?

Sherbs12 · 12/03/2026 21:57

@ThatPearlkitty Do I think senators who attended a classified two-hour briefing on the Iran War gained a lot of knowledge about it and were able to form qualified opinions based on that? Yes, I do. Do I think Trump or Hegseth comprehend all parts of the war that they have initiated? Absolutely not.

And I’m guessing your TV training comments are a joke - although to be fair, that would probably be enough to qualify you for this Trump administration, so good luck to you.

She hasn't u turned. Starmer has.

She has undoubtedly backtracked. It's on record.

I've read both of your links, and I also watched that PMQs exchange.
Badenoch is clearly talking about defending our air bases in both.
She hasn't back tracked or u turned.

No, its never wrong to change ones mind when the evidence shows one was wrong in the first place.

But Badenoch called for UK military involvement, she wanted UK strikes on missile sites, as did Farage, that is military involvement and is offensive in nature... how is it not, its just twisting words to pretend that flying bombing raids over Iran is defensive, Iran wasn't launching drones and missiles pre the US attacks.

To deny that is stupid but then Badenoch (and her supporters) are, she has no policies, no views other than to oppose... if Labour said they'd cut taxes, Badenoch would say they need to go up, she is also quite nasty in her attacks on Labour, go for the policies, sure but she makes it personal.

She leads a party that should be far ahead in the polls against a struggling Labour Govt, yet Tory polling is stuck solidly below 20%.

Thankfully though, she'll lead the Tories to their demise.... silver lining!

I hope Badenoch does too.

If you’re referencing the Mandelson points at the end, this may astound you, but I can be both a Labour supporter AND critical of their actions/politicians (Mandelson was always the wrong choice, which I’ve said from his initial appointment) - imagine that, being able to recognise flaws in a leader of a party you voted for and not letting my political leanings influence my view of objective reality.

One tipping point would be Starmer dragging us into a war of choice that goes against international law and has no clear plan, so as to pander to Trump (as Badenoch was proposing).

For clarity/dressing: Badenoch supporters can acknowledge that she called this one wrong initially and has now shifted her position, but they still think she’s the best candidate to lead the Tories at this point. Hope that isn’t too many words for you - I could be more blunt. HTH.
