You may not agree with the man (which is fair enough) but by god is your post desperate stuff.

Truth hurts, does it?

Yes, it is. I was starting to think we’d have nothing to agree on, but it is desperate that Farage did that. It’s good that there are some things so over the line that we can all agree on them.

It’s not that, I’m just not sure that this is the ‘gotcha’ you think it is for farage. Reform voters won’t care. I don’t care. It won’t resonate with the polls.

I think we all know hardcore Reform supporters won't care. But it does prove the (pathetic) measure of the man and won't win him any new voters. Some less zealous supporters might even drift away.

A lot of his hardcore voters do seem pissed off about Jenrick and Zahawi. I don't think they'll welcome the Labour defector Farage is promising us either.

Disagree - reform have the momentum and the right wing vote (ref + cons) is still substantial. About time we had a proper right wing party.

Reform don’t care about much, it seems. That’s the problem. Farage can be bought. He’s selling this country out to Russia.

He’s the only political leader who has shares in a news entertainment propaganda channel and presents it. The whole operation makes a fucking mockery of our democracy.

Normally, party members elect a leader and party members get a say what what goes on in the party. They don’t do that with reform because reform is a limited company and Farage is the boss, yet talks about democracy constantly

Oh, and which other party do you think is profiting from £350 football shirts? 😂 They are a complete joke.

Plenty of Tories wouldn't vote Reform. If Reform has momentum, why is its polling going the wrong way just now?

I totally believe enough deluded, or rich enough to only care about themselves, people will actually vote for him — even after the Brexit debacle that he was a good part responsible for.

Brexit was the right move, just poorly executed by a political class who are happy to take the money, but can’t or won’t govern without a cookie cutter EU policy to follow

What has improved since Brexit? You don’t think that the loss of freedom to live, work and travel extensively in the EU is a shame? If not for you then for the younger generation?

No. The most important factor is not having supranational government from Brussels. Our political class needs to grow up and start governing again. That means giving quangos, the treasury, the judiciary and arms length bodies a bloody constitutional nose.

It’s not - that’s why we need an insurgent reform government to hit the reset button. Liblabcon/ the blob are incapable of self reform.

So, you think the man that falsely advertised how great Brexit was going to be and then promptly fucked off is the candidate for the job? Just checking.

You will of course recall that farage wasn’t a member of the government that implemented Brexit?

but you ignore my broader point: it will take an outsider to shake up a political establishment that has become very comfortable indeed with inactivity.

yellowspanner · 18/01/2026 20:50

Anyone who doesn't vote Reform is not just devoid of a moral compass but doesn't care about the way this country is being destroyed

Farage is no "outsider". That's a daft statement. He has just welcomed yet another Tory into his ranks. Rum behaviour for a politician who claims to be fighting the political establishment.

So why is Farage joining forces with those he claims "broke Britain?"

You will recall how Farage pulled his own MPs out of contesting certain constituencies so that Johnson could win the 2019 election, yes? Farage was happy with his Brexit plans, plus when it went wrong it meant Johnson got all the blame for it and Farage could claim it wasn’t done properly.

I don’t know if you will recall that Farage was the leading figure, politically, that pushed for Brexit to happen.

Via UKIP, he incessantly drove it making it become a constant political conversation. His anti-EU rhetoric was part of what forced the referendum. He was instrumental in the Leave campaign and its inaccuracies and false promises.

When it came to the actual implementation, he was again incessant about a hard Brexit through his Brexit / Reform party. He counted the referendum going through as a political victory for himself before he immediately fucked off. Never mind though, seems like he might be back again for more of the same. Maybe we need to keep a few buses free for him to put ads on.
