He always manages to stoop lower.

Ireland clocked this grifter years ago. Anything for a few quid. Vile indeed

people don’t care though as long as he says things they want to hear.

I voted reform at the general election and will do so again. This is just noise.

ibuprofenhead · 16/01/2026 22:35

Anyone that votes for reform is void of moral compass.

@Mahanswarcanoe I think you mis quote. Isn't it ".... Anyone who isn't Liberal by the age of 30 ... "?

and Farage isn't a tory. He's a lot of other things, but Conservative isn't one of them.

Interesting post from you on a parenting forum. More bothered about telling us you will.continue voting for Farage and his party, rather than condemning his euligising of a convicted and vile abuser whose crimes against children were horrific. Noise? Not even disguising it. 😧

He’s right of centre - as are apparently most of the country outside of your echo chamber (see the polls).

and about time too given at the end the tories were little more than the Lib Dem’s in drag.

as to the quote: you will find I am correct.

He's not a conservative. He is completely devoid of morals - he'd do or say anything if it got him money or notability. He's a confirmed racist, in the pocket of Russia, and is a national security risk to this country.

I don’t get it. Yes, I already think he’s vile. But he was tricked in to saying this, he’s not actually praising him? So why would it change anyone’s mind on him?

Thats the bit I don’t get.
We cannot have low taxes, low immigration & improved services. It will not happen.

I would love to believe in utopia to by the way.

Same here.

The Oxbridge-educated Left totally dominate Britain. The “long march through the institutions” is pretty much complete. They run academia, the BBC, the arts, and the publishing industry. And between now and the next election they will use all their power and influence for one thing - to bring down Farage. He is now public enemy number one.

The UK is governed by quangos and arm length bodies. The judiciary has too much power and it has broken the traditional separation of powers between the executive, legislature and judiciary that made the system work. All courtesy of the Blair era which assumed we would play follow the leader to the EU forever and so could dispense with all that tedious governing stuff.

if farage can bulldoze through this and get our government actually governing again then yes, I believe him.

Why? Be specific

fedsup · 16/01/2026 23:02

I agree we need systemic change but that change is not quick & needs long term thinking & imo cross party consensus.

Our problems started under Thatcher and successive governments have contributed in turn.

I think voters prefer partisan politics though and want short term fixes.

Yawn. I’m not entirely sure how much more specific I can be…

it’s noise. Ie inconsequential background nonsense that won’t shift the poll one iota.

happier?

Thatcher was responsible for privatisation, largely as a means by which to break the power of the unions. Blair outsourced government - because the elite assumed we had in turn outsourced that to the EU in perpetuity.

now our politicians are having to re-learn how to do their jobs and actually govern the country, not be figureheads to quangos and civil servants. This is why Starmer, lack of charisma aside, cannot effect change. He has no levers of power post Blair.

Come on. This is silly.

Farage fell for a prank order on the website Cameo.

You can despise the prankster if you like, for their poor taste.

But plenty of politicians have been tricked before and plenty will be again.

This isn’t a eulogy for the Lost Prophets singer. Why pretend it is?

fedsup · 16/01/2026 23:15

The biggest problem we have is the fact we never recovered from the 08 crash with nearly 2 decades of low productivity & years of little investment. We now have an ageing population & an NHS & pension model that is not affordable.
Utilities will keep increasing, taxes will keep increasing etc, life will get harder but I understand why alternatives are popular.

Not for this.

If we are calling doing greetings clips on Cameo “vile” and “disguising” because we can’t distinguish it from paedophilia then we are not a serious electorate and deserve the politicians we get.
