I’m seriously impressed with this guy. Anyone else find him refreshingly honest and sensible?

That’s ok, luckily defending Mandelson and refusing to have a stand on Gaza except for a sternly worded letter means Starmer is far better than someone who has policies that would help actual people.

You misunderstand my point. I'm not defending Starmer. It's the ridiculous nature of the incident which makes Polanski unelectable.

Politicians can do all sorts of dodgy, illegal, immoral things and their careers continue just fine, but silly ones are a political death sentence.

GreenGoude · 14/09/2025 13:47

I am one of the many women, and a few good men, who have been exiled from the Green Party for standing up for women as a sex. There has been a concerted campaign to purge the Party of any debate on this issue. Polanski makes sure his fingerprints are not on the disciplinary rulings, which have seen 6 co-chairs of Green Party Women exiled in recent years, but he is firmly in support of the purge and the subsequent corruption of governance that has been allowed to run riot. A coterie of transactivists rotate between the Disciplinary Committee, the Regional Council, the Executive, the Standing Orders Committee & the Conference Committee, and they back up each other's decisions to target gender critical members.
Women's need to 'correctly sex' people when advocating for single sex spaces and services is called 'misgendering' by Polanski and he repeatedly states we are not welcome in the Greens.
He is also very happy to smear his opponents - when standing for Deputy in 2022 he said of his opponent, Shahrar Ali (who supports women's sex-based rights and the Cass Report) that 'Shahrar is standing with Boris Johnson, Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin'.
I agree with @cariadlet & @letterem - he is a charlatan and a danger to women and children.

Bluowl · 14/09/2025 13:56

He is an opportunist and a misogynist. Happy to throw women who have slogged their guts out for GP over the years out of the party BC they stand up for women's sex based rights and supporting Cass review to protect gender questioning children.

Kulwinder54 · 14/09/2025 13:57

It is very suspicious the way he's suddenly getting 'bigged up'. I see loads of posts on X about how great he is, articles in the papers... nothing about his stance on women's rights. But unfortunately not even the media can hide his horrible creepy vibe.

I think it's a good thing that the media can't hide his creepy vibe!

Eric1926 · 14/09/2025 15:55

Zack Polanski is a climber only out for himself and will latch on to any demographic that will help him. Just now it is the trans extremists who want to override women's rights. He was active in the LibDems and then found the Greens a better ladder to climb. Like typical con men he is charming and articulate. But all women and by that I mean biological women, should watch prudently

FlirtsWithRhinos · 14/09/2025 17:07

Starting to think we need a Dull Leftish Folks For Society and Environment party so there's a party that represents the people who want socially and economically centre-left policies without having to sign up to the tenets of Omnicause.

Thank you for your clear explanation. I didn’t know this and it’s interesting to hear. Will keep my eyes open!

Those of you banging on about a “creepy vibe” sound like teenagers. Maybe try criticising people’s actual opinions and policies instead.

No, we should all be aware of the creepy vibe men. Ignore this at your peril.

However, women have not given up on challenging the Green Party on its extreme misogyny. In 2023 we launched the Green Women's Declaration to lobby for our sex-based rights. It began with 152 signatories and now has over 1600. Earlier this year we launched a Supporter Membership Scheme with a sliding scale fee which has helped us engage more supporters, and raise money for our cause. We will have a strong presence at conference in Bournemouth 3rd-5th October and if the Party continues to exclude us we will not be afraid to use the law. Something of Farage about him to me. He is a sort of plausible rogue. It was obvious he would win the leadership. The pair he was up against were not very good at the media stuff. It would be nice to have a Labour leader who can string a few sincere sentences together and isn't a charlatan.

There's an interview with Leo Varadkar in the Guardian. Obviously, as a mixed race gay man , he is no friend of the far right. But he remarks that far right leaders he has met seem to be friendly and relaxed. Why are our leftwing leaders like dysfunctional robots reading an AI script? Fear , I suppose. Sigh.

Agreed. Why can’t they just get some training?!

That's interesting and very worrying.

It sounds like there's been quite a deliberate and effective takeover of an established political party by the woke left fascists. I think this is their new route of attack.

Think how effectively they took over the civil service and other institutions. There was a reprieve with the Equality Act ruling, and we've all sighed with relief and assumed that sense has won out and we can relax.

But it's not over. They're slithering in through another route - wolves in sheep's clothing - appropriating the heritage of the fluffy green party. The best thing is that people expect 'out there' ideas and behaviour from the Green party, and don't take them entirely seriously (sorry!) so they can do pretty much anything for quite a while before people will notice that something's not right.

Even the slightly ridiculous hypnotist background feeds into this - encouraging those outside the party to not take Polanski seriously, to not see his movement as a threat. We should take this very seriously indeed.

I don't know what they have planned, but I think there is a plan. And it's not to help people.

Have you never said something that you later realised was a stupid opinion?

Did you manage to find that cite or link I asked for upthread? Where you claimed Polanski had apologised for using his position as an HCP on Harley St to con women with body image issues?

I’ve had a quick skim back through quite a few and each time the question is raised he quite aggressively shuts it down and avoids answering rather than any form of apology or referencing an apology.

Have watched friends kicked out in exactly the way @GreenGoude describes upthread I will continue to regard him as a charlatan and a danger to women and girls.

The Green Party’s obsession with identity politics in the full purity spiral version will yet come back to haunt it, along with its relentless promotion of MC “green” consumerism which actively disadvantages those who are less well off.

RedToothBrush · 16/09/2025 10:15

I mean you have to hand it to him. He managed to find a career in starring at women's tits with the veneer of Harley Street respectability.

As far as grifts go, I'm sure a lot of men would applaud his ingenuity. No wonder he's loved by the green party membership and in particular Transcels.

He apologised for the hypnosis comment if that's what you mean? Otherwise I don't know what you're talking about but I'm sure your google is as good as mine.

Its just upthread, you made the claim that he had apologised.

My Google-fu has failed to find it, I have no memory of his ever apologising for grifting women in this way and you made the claim, not me.

So please cite where he has apologised and accepted it was wrong or I shall continue to assume you are mistaken and it never happened.

I don't really care what you assume. Nobody made you judge and jury.

But since your Google skills aren't working I'll give you a hand.
