Trump has called in federal military troops into Washington DC, starting with the false excuse of high crime (the crime rate has actually dropped markedly), and is ordering things that appear to be illegal. It looks like a lead-in to martial law. I've been in a forum with everyone posting in mounting concern.

Thanks for sharing. Just as a matter of logic, the fact that crime rates have dropped in DC doesn't contradict the claim that crime rates are alarmingly high in DC.

And it’s well known that crime has been bad in DC for a while but now we all pretend it’s not.

The DC police are being investigated for falsifying their records to show crime is down when it is not.

I live in Chicago and the mayor gaslights us claiming crime is down but everyone can see it isn’t. We can’t even go to our local grocery store anymore without walking through a bunch of riff raff using and selling drugs, catcalling young girls and women and making people feel unsafe.

Here is one of many posts on the neighborhood Facebook page complaining about the same bullshit and the police do nothing, the Alderman who is responding is like our local councilman and has been trying to help and it just gets worse and worse and the mayor pretends there’s problem.

Democrats have destroyed many cities and love criminals. Look at Californian cities like SF LA now shitholes with lots of crime, drugs and homeless despite the billions and billions that Newsom has spent on "solving homelessness".

The Alderman Pat responding is kinda like our local council man and the South loop is a lovely family friendly neighborhood being destroyed by useless idiots who don't even live there.

It’s a frog slowly boiling in a pot situation. We’re literally watching this happen in real time. He has complete immunity for any crimes committed, granted by the Supreme Court.
