Who would you vote for in a general election tomorrow?

If the next GE was tomorrow, who would you vote for? I've been unimpressed at decisions made by Labour since they came in and just don't have much faith in their long term plans. I've never even considered voting Tory, but also don't really see Labour doing much more to improve things for anyone. Will be interesting to see how things are in a few years time when the next GE comes round. Am I missing some really good stuff Labour are implementing?

Both the Greens and Lib Dems think that people can magically change sex, and that kids should be indoctrinated into and damaged by this utter crap.

They are a bloody disgrace, just like Labour, and just like influential Tories eg Penny Mordaunt, Caroline Nokes and Theresa May. This is an international children’s safeguarding scandal that they are now finally facing. Bloody hell.

Well said. We’ll look back on this and view this as a national scandal. Wes Streeting is pushing back. The only Labour MP I trust.

It's a protest vote at the moment. Protesting against all the main parties and the shitshow they've produced over the last few decades. If Reform get in and fail the same as the other parties then we really are screwed.

Why wouldn’t you vote for another party as your protest vote? Voting for another popular party doesn’t seem that much of a “protest” to me..?

I am a Conservative voter (life long) so if I'm not voting for them I wouldn't vote for a left wing party. So it can only be Reform.

I am interested in why people would vote Reform? Is it simply to get Labour out? 🤔

Yes, for me it would be Reform for exactly this reason. Whichever party is most likely to get Labour out, which at the moment seems like Reform.

Interesting

SNP

jjpollypocket · 28/06/2025 21:14

Reform

Olliesdefender · 28/06/2025 21:15

Reform have same silent backers as Trump trying to buy elections. I’d struggle to choose someone to vote for but I wouldn’t allow myself to be manipulated by people whose morals I despise.

Whoever gets Labour out.

Same

Pakoraplease · 28/06/2025 21:19

Labour

Hardlyworking · 28/06/2025 21:23

Definitely not reform because I'm not a fucking imbecile or racist. Probably labour again, but I'd see who was strongest in my constituency. Maybe lib dem.

FridayNightFever · 28/06/2025 21:26

Of course Labour.
I think everyone should give them a fucking chance.

RedToothBrush · 28/06/2025 21:28

Genuinely don't know.

Everythingmustgo · 28/06/2025 21:39

This is a really telling thread OP.

Before the last GE mumsnet was very much 'Lets all vote Labour!!!' and as much as I love it I often find mumsnet annoyingly left-leaning. I would never, ever vote Labour personally but the fact so many responses to your question have already been Reform suggests that if Labour don't seriously turn things around and dump that useless flip flop of a PM then the country will be in for a big shock come the next GE.

pizzaHeart · 28/06/2025 21:42

Labour, but our local MP was vocal against cutting PIP and winter fuel payments.

Or a big "fucking" shock as @Hardlyworking and @FridayNightFever might say.....

scalt · 28/06/2025 21:47

There is a danger people might vote Reform as a protest vote, thinking that they won’t get in… and then they do. I think it’s very possible that some people voted for Brexit thinking the same thing. I bet even Farage was more than a little surprised by the result.

Normandy144 · 28/06/2025 21:49

Lib Dem.

RedRec · 28/06/2025 21:50

Swinging back to Labour, from Lib Dem or Green, because I have the most refreshingly principled and intelligent local MP. Josh Fenton-Glynn, Calder Valley.

Bridport · 28/06/2025 21:52

Labour

mambojambodothetango · 28/06/2025 21:52

Labour. No question. They've got long term vision which is what we need. They've made a few mistakes but they're a drop in the ocean compared to the utter muppet Tories who ruined the country. Reform couldn't govern their way out of the pub car park.

Fluffyholeysocks · 28/06/2025 21:53

I dont think it will be a shock though, if Labour can't turn things round very soon, I think Starmer's days are numbered. If he goes, I can't think of a single candidate in the PLP to replace him. Talent combined with leadership is in very short supply. The Tories are no better, I don't think Ed Davey of the Lib Dems is PM material either. If the established parties want to keep Reform out of Government, they've got to get better leadership and fast.

What a pathetic response! It is not racist to oppose mass immigration and wanting to preserve our own culture! It’s gone too far and I think even the most tolerant of people are now seeing this. When it is on mass integration is not possible and you live in parallel worlds.it has got to end

TranceNation · 28/06/2025 22:01

None of them like I haven't voted in the previous three elections. All politicians are slippery self serving power hungry liars in my opinion.

“Reform couldn’t govern their way out of the pub car park”

I’m afraid a lot of people have the same thoughts about Labour.
