From what I can see, after his entirely unconvincing "position" on gaza he has essentially disappeared from view. Blair notoriously used to do this a lot when he wanted to avoid legitimate questions, leaving brown nosing slaves to face questions from the proles.
So over to the mnet net, which I know has wise tentacles everwhere
Has the famous SIR dropped into your church fete/tombola recently? Selfies welcome.

I think perhaps @Clavinova you have confused him with a waiter.

Perhaps

@Clavinova it is your beloved Sunak who has memory problems and can't recall much.

Wasn't it Keir Starmer who said there were "about 6 people" having a beer and curry with him in Durham? There were 16 other people there - how many beers did Starmer have?

You are quite right @Clavinova as demonstrated by this link.

I thought we were discussing Keir Starmer's memory problem - not whether he had broken any Covid rules? Durham Police later confirmed there were 17 people there in total (including Starmer);

@Clavinova you are mistaken, this thread is not for discussing but rather posting our favourite links.

@Clavinova I would have to listen to what exactly he said to Ferrari and can't be bothered right now as Ferrari's voice would put me off my glass of wine.

He may have fudged things, which isn't great. But he didn't lie under oath unlike Sunak.

I have said before, I am no Starmer fan for various reasons. But he is still far and away a more principled man than Sunak and I would much rather have Starmer running the country,

Dont worry not much longer to wait until Starmer is running the country.

But he does have a donkey field.

If children didn't have crap parents, then they too could be like Sunak.

I can help - Ferrari asked Starmer; "How many people were there in total"?

he didn't lie under oath unlike Sunak

That's quite an accusation without any proof.

I have said before, I am no Starmer fan for various reasons. But he is still far and away a more principled man than Sunak

I disagree -

He sold the field he bought for his parents after they died, how dare he. He should have rented it out at an inflated price.

Maybe he should have answered with 'I don't recall'?

Getting back to what Labour stands for
Labour’s Child Health Action Plan

Out of the 6 actions in the list - 3 are to be funded by abolishing (cough, cough) the non-dom tax status:

1.Cut waiting lists for children
How will Labour pay for this?
By abolishing the non-dom tax status.

3.Transform NHS dentistry
How will Labour pay for this?
By abolishing the non-dom tax status.

6.Introduce breakfast clubs for all primary school children
How will Labour pay for this?
By abolishing the non-dom tax status.

I've posted several times pointing out that Keir Starmer and Rachel Reeves are being somewhat economical with the truth when they talk about abolishing non-dom tax status - the Guardian has caught up at last;

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2024/jan/12/flagship-labour-plan-scrap-non-dom-tax-breaks

Labour considers non-dom tax plan that would raise £1bn less than initial pledge

Party may allow non-domiciles to live in Britain for four years before ending tax break, it is understood

Starmer's parents died in 2015 and 2018 - I guess it depends whether Starmer has any plans to increase capital gains tax for the rest of us (if he becomes PM) as to whether it was the right time to sell in December 2022.

Being considered,, nothing decided yet then

i didn't like the approach either but Starmer said he stood by what he said, so how is that unprincipled?

Anyway, these links all show that Starmer hasn't exactly been invisible Smile
