And a day after the 18th December 2020 party the bastard announced that most of the country were going into tier 4 (lockdown in all but name) and that families would not be able to see each other at Christmas.

Rhondaa · 22/03/2023 15:57

Christ! How long did that question going on for. The they tell BJ to be succinct with his answers Grin

I have turned the sound off, subtitles are less rage inducing

And Piers Morgan wanging on about how its a sacrifice we all had to make that Christmas and then buggering off to Antigua.

What a load of monotonous dullards on the panel droning on and on asking the very same questions. Loving Bernard's little hippy bracelet.

Thankyou.

I didn't lose a family member during this time. But I had both my parents having chemo in March 2020. My mum continued throughout covid and beyond and even when she was in hospital and then a hospice last year for her final days I had to wear a mask in her room. This was May 2022.

Every time she was in hospital until her lash visit when told nothing more could be done (April 2022) she went alone. For 2 whole years covid dictated what we could and couldn't do with regards the time we had with her.

2 whole years.

Luckily her funeral and home restrictions weren't there in her final months - something I'm forever grateful for. But to think of I'd have just called her final 2 years in medical care a leaving do (and justified it by the fact she was dying) I'd have had more contact. Angry

I'm so sorry @itsgettingweird

Seeing Boris Johnson lies and guff must be so distressing for you. I should have included everyone who had family and friends who were in hospital. I can't imagine the stress and heartbreak it causes you.

Big hugs to you and your family 💗

I know. He keeps saying these are rare events, but he's been talking about this for 2 hours so far and they're not even halfway through.

Not that rare, is it?!

The questions are framed very precisely so that Johnson is made aware of the specific event, the legislation and guidance in place at the time and any relevant evidence as well as their individual question.

Sadly there were so many events over such a period that they need to be clear.

TooBigForMyBoots · 22/03/2023 16:04

So many parties.

hesaidshesaidtheysaid · 22/03/2023 16:05

Is it unreasonable of me to expect someone running the country to be ever so slightly more aware of their surroundings and what is going on?!
I can't believe the absolute drivel pouring out. Shameful

tobee · 22/03/2023 15:21

He's doing his usual thing of pretending he's repeating the question asked but actually turning it into a question he can slightly more easily answer. Despicable trick!

Luckily he's being questioned by politicians who all know what that is and how it works.

He looks like a recalcitrant schoolboy

minou123 · 22/03/2023 16:24

Gosh, everything is someone else's fault.

"They didn't tell me", "Nobody explicitly told me"

Did he just walk around not looking anything and engaging his brain?

countrygirl99 · 22/03/2023 16:27

My dad was in his 90s and in and out of hospital over an 18 month period. Most of the time there were no visitors allowed. One time it was less than 50/50 he would make it. Because he wasn't definitely dying there was no exception to the no visitors rule. I had to explain to my mum, who has alzheimers, that he may die but no she couldn't go and see him. He was in 5 weeks that time.

L1ttledrummergirl · 22/03/2023 16:27

I didn't get an fpn, they only count as evidence if I got an fpn. What fucking planet does he live on?

minou123 · 22/03/2023 16:27

We didn't pass pens, but we did pass drinks.

Well that's ok then.

@Janiie Are you still of the view it is perfectly acceptable for a 56 year old to have a birthday party whilst denying that opportunity to millions of children?
