Xing!! Congratulations!!

Coppersulphate · 01/02/2020 20:27

I am trying to avoid the vitriol and have blocked most of it on twitter.
I occasionally wander over to other threads on here but only to post friendly stuff.
It is scary.
I find it amusing that some of the most vitriolic posts are from people in EU countries.
Note...no longer have to say EU27 .....just EU.
Because WE ARE OUT

Well done Boris. You kept faith with the voters.

Coppersulphate · 01/02/2020 20:28

Congratulations Xing's DS.

See what happens now we have left the EU.

DustyDiamond · 01/02/2020 20:51

@Doubletrouble99
We're heeeeeere!!!

(🙌🙌 for the PPI claim btw 😍)

Congrats to your DS Xing 🍷

Copper the sense of entitlement has astounded me.

My family have come up from the, lived, worked globally.

Been turned down for oz... Been accepted to blah... Tried again for x... And taken it all in their stride.

One uncle had gite or something near bordeaux at time when it was so popular with brits, he said he totally understood locals being upset because of the social reasons, holiday homes left empty halfwit most of the year etc.

He made huge efforts to integrate and be humble in someone else's country.

He never felt madly entitled demanding this and that. He's still there and spent more and more time there and is now on very good terms with the locals and is one... But he was sympathetic to the issues!

Arseaboutdarkly · 01/02/2020 21:07

Seriously? Non partisan? Couldn't be any more partisan on here. Presumably those words are for the benefit of the moderators?

GreenishMe · 01/02/2020 21:22

I think, Darkly, it was an open invitation to anyone who wants to join the discussion.

If it's heavily loaded in one direction atm it's probably because those with differing opinions choose to just flash and go instead of genuinely interacting.

Coppersulphate · 01/02/2020 21:41

Has anyone put a question forward to Sir Starmer?

I may ask "Given that you are perceived by many as an entitled, rich, London centric remainer how would you go about trying to win back the voters in the red wall seats? "

It is a genuine question that I don't think he has thought about. Or if he has I am interested in his answer.

By the way Singing, I am also originally from Liverpool. Great city.
I was made redundant by Derek Hatton's Militant Tendency. I note he has been welcomed back into the Labour Party after being expelled by Kinnock.

WeSavedSallySally · 01/02/2020 21:41

Just read macron letter to the eu.

Apparently it's because of governments hiding their own failures behind eu. And because they the eu isn't protective enough and not involved enough in people's daily lives.

ShockConfused

EpicIndividual · 01/02/2020 21:44

🚨 ❌

bellinisurge · 01/02/2020 21:44

He's not called Sir Starmer. He's called Keir Starmer or Sir Keir. There is no such title as Sir [Surname].

Coppersulphate · 01/02/2020 21:45

I suppose the reshuffle will be soon.
I hope Boris doesn't sack Phwaor Dom.

Boris needs to know he would be serious trouble with the Arms regulars if that happened.

But we could offer Dom a job here as shelf operative.
And perhaps the LL could find other things for him to do!😉😉

WeSavedSallySally · 01/02/2020 21:45

Copper I have strong ties to that area as well.

I wonder if you could make other more specific like another poster has..Tina the low skilled worker from the Workington social club...

How can kier or anyone they put forward understand her though. They can't, they don't want to, they want to re educate Tina. Or even just educate her. Explain to her... Tell her, talk at her.

EpicIndividual · 01/02/2020 21:46

“ Please ignore attempts of derailment and report concerns to us. We're always happy to take a look. Not engaging preserves the thread, and saves it from potential deletion.”

Just a quick reminder from @MNHQ from the the last thread.

Coppersulphate · 01/02/2020 21:46

Bellini,
I can call him what the hell I like.
Sir Starmer it is.

EpicIndividual · 01/02/2020 21:51

Anyway! Evening all! 😉🙌

I don’t have much to add today, as have been doing family stuff, but nice to see you all.

WeSavedSallySally · 01/02/2020 21:54

Just re read macron letter a gain, so cocky!

We must have judicial close alignment!

Did they ask this of the Canada etc!

I can't imagine the reaction in no 10.

Doffs cap at bellingsue educating of us thick leavers.

Coppersulphate · 01/02/2020 21:56

Yes, good idea Sally,
I will be:
Copper, the worker sacked because Liverpool City Council's Labour majority refused to set a balanced budget.

Or perhaps I could just ask why the Labour Party have readmitted members of Militant Tendency.

It is such a pity.
The Labour Party needs a leader with charisma, with optimism, and with a personality. And, of course with reasonable (yes, reasonable) policies.
And we need a decent opposition.

GreenishMe · 01/02/2020 21:58

Hi Epic. Smile

bellinisurge · 01/02/2020 22:16

My deepest and sincerest apologies for wrong thinking.

Arseaboutdarkly · 01/02/2020 22:20

If it's heavily loaded in one direction atm it's probably because those with differing opinions choose to just flash and go instead of genuinely interacting.

No. it's heavily loaded because it's been deliberately loaded in that direction. No one who wanted to have a genuine interaction would last 5 minutes

“ Please ignore attempts of derailment and report concerns to us. We're always happy to take a look. Not engaging preserves the thread, and saves it from potential deletion.”

And if they did try no doubt they would be reported for 'attempted derailment'.

I don't even care if it's a Brexiters thread, I care that it's being falsely promoted as Non Partisan

hospitalityinspector · 01/02/2020 22:24

Phwaor Dom on Andrew Marr in the morning Wink along with Nigel Farage.

Coppersulphate · 01/02/2020 22:24

Bellini, obviously I realise the convention of Sir plus first name but I choose to ignore it.

Sir Starmer suits him.
Are you going to ask him a question?

I would like to but I expect it would be ignored.

Coppersulphate · 01/02/2020 22:27

Anyway, Bellini, come I out of the cold, sit down and have a drink on the house.
And perhaps there are some of Singing's all day breakfast barman's left. They are delicious.
Help yourself.
