I'm still so torn. In a single sentence can you say who you are voting for and why?

Labour. We desperately need change in this country and I want a fairer society where the vulnerable and poor are better supported.

Lonelycrab · 12/12/2019 10:33

I’m voting Labour because I understand that the current “Tory” government has nothing to do with moderate conservatism- they’re actually UKIP in all but name, and only a hairs breath from the BNP/EDL which makes me feelEnvy (about as far from envy as is possible)

Willowcat77 · 12/12/2019 10:35

Labour, because they are the only party able to stop a hard right Tory government from destroying this country.

LochJessMonster · 12/12/2019 10:35

Tory because I want to leave the EU.

TowelNumber42 · 12/12/2019 10:47

Tory because of women's rights and the economy; because despite being a Remainer I believe Brexit is unavoidable; because I want Labour and Lib Dems to get such a drubbing they sort themselves out into being a decent opposition and potential government in waiting.

Enb76 · 12/12/2019 10:57

Tory because I read all the main three manifestos (for my area) and did some extra research to find out what was lies, what was truth and what was propaganda.

For many reasons the least worst party for me personally.

Huggybear16 · 12/12/2019 11:00

Tory because of women's rights

Yes, because Boris will make sure that women's rights are prioritised Confused

DrunkSanta · 12/12/2019 11:01

Sinn Fein. A united Ireland and their support for abortion rights in NI

NextdoorNeighbourIsATwat · 12/12/2019 11:02

Labour. Because I love Sinn Fein, Hezbollah, Hamas and think the Salisbury poisonings were a conspiracy against the Russia state.

Grin Grin Grin

In all seriousness, looking through this thread...we are so divided aren't we? So very far apart. A large chunk of us will be very disheartened tomorrow - I'm hoping I'm not amongst them. I don't think I've ever seen an election as so fundamentally important.

colouringinpro · 12/12/2019 11:08

Lib Dem because the Tories have crippled the National Debtvdespite austerity (where did the money go?!); because the NHS is on its knees and being privatised by stealth and because even if I wasn't a Remainer, the lies around Get Brexit Done make me fume. It will take at least a decade to sort all the trade deals we need. Meanwhile there will be a massive recession.

NextdoorNeighbourIsATwat · 12/12/2019 11:09

Also I'll be voting Tory because I think they are by far the most GC party. And, there are circa 40k more doctors and nurses on NHS wards compared to the figures ten years ago.

And despite being known as 'the nasty party', they weren't the ones who dragged us into Iraq, despite a million-plus of us marching.

BlackSwanGreen · 12/12/2019 11:09

Labour because I want a referendum on Brexit.

ClownsandCowboys · 12/12/2019 11:11

Labour, be a use I give a shit about the most vulnerable in society.

WolfOfOdin · 12/12/2019 11:12

Labour, because im a working class Northerner that the tories don't give a shit about

BertrandRussell · 12/12/2019 11:16

Tory. Because I love the UDA, the arms trade, Saudi Arabia and bombing schools in Palestine.

CendrillonSings · 12/12/2019 11:26

Conservative. Because socialism doesn’t work.

colouringinpro · 12/12/2019 11:30

*tripled the National Debt!

Morgan12 · 12/12/2019 11:32

SNP. To hopefully get the fuck away from Westminster and Tories forever.

MrsPeakyBlinders · 12/12/2019 14:39

Let me think - do I want an anti Semitic Communist as a PM ? Hmmmmm

colouringinpro · 12/12/2019 14:42

But Mrs he's never going to get a majority.

More important question: Do you want an NHS?

Ineedanamechange79 · 12/12/2019 15:31

Still undecided. It's close between the Tories and SNP.in my seat. Can't say I really want to vote for either.

lilgreen · 12/12/2019 15:38

Labour for social care, schools, nhs and the environment.

mumwon · 12/12/2019 15:40

dh & I (I think from discussions because he is trying to be tactical!) will be voting differently - clue neither of us is voting conservative - or anyone on that spectrum. We have always voted for different parties but are both middle left (as my ds puts it - dm typical Guardian reader Grin) & we don't argue about politics (got lots of other things to argue about, like who left the fridge open etc!)

Coldemort · 12/12/2019 15:42

Plaid Cymru - to get as far away from the shit show of Westminster.

Plus Adam Price is a beaut
