He really could, the polls are looking good for labour.
TM might regret her decision to call this snap election.

Do Tory voters actually think May has acquitted herself as a competent PM during the campaign? All that strong and stable rhetoric despite her u-turn; the staged events where 'ordinary members of the public' are screened in advance; her refusal to debate with other leaders. I am not a Corbyn fan myself but he's done a good job in the run up to the GE and I hope people turn out for him.

Just making a point that nothing is ever 100 percent guaranteed.
Going off thread a little bit,but let's be honest who would of thought in the early days of the Presidential Election that Donald Trump would be the next President Of The USA?
No wonder TM has called a early election as she was voted in by the British people but by parliament.

The way the polls are going, I wish I'd put £100 on this when I started the thread!

The augeries were all there from the past 12 months : Trump, Brexit , Leicester City..

And still you didn't click on Paddy Power!?

HornyTortoise · 01/06/2017 16:56

I hope so but really doubt it. The world seems to be leaning further and further to the right these days. I think it will be closer than May expected though. All I know is the polls mean fuck all...brexit, trump, last election...

Iwouldgoouttonight You are so right The Tories already started to move the boundaries in their favour and with more boundary changes to come this really is the last chance we have of ever having a Labour government again. With the Tory plans to continue the privatisation of the NHS and the continuation of the privatisation of the Utility companies were we have seen our bills triple in the last ten years I really do worry for our future living standards. As a mum and a Primary school teacher who doesn't much care for Corbyn or May I will be voting Labour and hoping for the best for all of us
