Oh, lord. Not the "I can't possibly tell you- if I did I'd be banned" line.

Here's a form of words. "If I said X.......X, would that mean I would be banned?"

I just can't bear the "secret squirrel" stuff.

Lweji · 15/12/2016 22:13

My sense of humour, quoting Spanish for effect and then bursting the effect by getting it wrong and calling it Romanian, self-deprectating British humour

You're truly the new Monty Python.

And now, for something completely different: Blair.

Roussette · 15/12/2016 22:13

I am hoping with Trump elected people will speak more freely and with any luck fewer people offended. If this creates a cultural shift then good

What... like the 437 hate crimes that were recorded in a short space of time after he got in. Slogans like Make America White Again and Trump Nation, Whites only... do you mean that sort of cultural shift and how sensitive people are to take offence...

SouthallGirl · 15/12/2016 22:15

If you cannot identify a serious problem because it would breach PC rules, then you cannot begin to solve the problem.

We need more people like Nazir Afzal, ex-CPS, who said "that a culture of political correctness had contributed to the authorities’ decision to turn a blind eye to the abuse of at least 1,400 in Rotherham."

That abuse lasted at least 12 years, all because police, council people and SS were to nervous about putting a finger on who the majority perps were.

A cultural shift would be good.

claig · 15/12/2016 22:15

'And now, for something completely different: Blair.'

Absolutely, there is only one Blair, thankfully, and "different" is a polite way of describing him.

I'm wondering, though, obviously slightly off on a tangent, whether if I got Google to translate all of your posts into Romanian they would make more sense. Maybe.

Lweji · 15/12/2016 22:19

It's funny how some groups of people are now accusing others of having thin skins when not that long ago were accusing others of bullying for simply challenging their views.

claig · 15/12/2016 22:21

'It's funny how some groups of people are now accusing others of having thin skins when not that long ago were accusing others of bullying for simply challenging their views.'

But it is a known fact that bullies have thin skins, that is why they are snide and bully.

'A cultural shift would be good.'

If Trump gets in then that is what will happen. It will be yuuge and it will end political correctness.

''A cultural shift would be good.''

And Trump will be politically incorrect about vaccinations just as he was in the debate in the Republican primaries.

True. Just look at Trump's tweeting record.

Lweji · 15/12/2016 22:26

Do you? Because I've only noticed one set of thin skins on these threads. From people who are happy to call names but hate being challenged.
Isn't that the definition of bully?

BertrandRussell · 15/12/2016 22:28

You know what, Claig? If I had to choose a Mumsnet bully, it would be you. You ignore, and over ride and mock. You refuse to answer questions. You refuse to explain. You are triumphalist over others. You deride, and refuse to explain why you are deriding. And above all else, you never, ever consider that other people might have a legitimate point of view. And you are pretty typical of Trump supporters and what, I suppose, is going to be the new world order. Which is pretty soul destroying.

Lweji · 15/12/2016 22:28

And Trump will be politically incorrect about vaccinations

Are you saying he'll also deny the US vaccines?

Roussette · 15/12/2016 22:30

southall that's one troll. Not sure how that typifies MN and I've been here probably 11 years now.. it has a certain ethos that runs through it, like it or lump it, there are other forums out there where you can say more if that's what you want.

claig · 15/12/2016 22:31

'True. Just look at Trump's tweeting record.'

That is a good point. Trump is a bully, he will bully the elites like they have never been bullied before. He has both a thin skin i.e. he remembers slights and hits back, but he also has an amazingingly thick skin too which is why only he could have taken what was thrown at him by the teams and why he could appoint politically correct Nikki Haley who was against him, Ricke Perry who called him "a cancer on conservatism" and "a carnival barker" etc

Trump bullies those he feels like (the elites) and ignores slights if he feels like.

Absolutely not, but he won't agree with you and your research

The elites know that Trump is coming for the ones he doesn't like and he will bully them

OP posts:
Missswatch · 15/12/2016 22:40

Didn't you know Bert? Comrade Claig was raised in a Siberian labour camp and placed here to bully you all

Comrade Claig. I like that

Kaija · 15/12/2016 22:40

It's not the elites Trump bullies.

claig · 15/12/2016 22:40

Some top people are not playing the elite's game over the Russian hacking claims because they fear what will happen if they lose and Trump wins.

OP posts:
Missswatch · 15/12/2016 22:42

It's also funny you call Claig a bully yet she has been subject to abuse herself and not once has she called for anyone to be banned, or accused anyone of being goady or trolling

Roussette · 15/12/2016 22:43

So it's all a popularity contest then claig. Not about the right person for the job
