And it shows that Trump is less popular than Hillary Clinton. The people have spoken - but a minority of the people. One good thing about both this and Brexit is that it might encourage non-voters to vote in future.

BertrandRussell · 06/12/2016 20:54

And he also said he would have won the popular vote if it wasn't for dodgy votes. That couple of dozen extras suggests otherwise...........

squishysquirmy · 06/12/2016 20:56

Late to this thread!
Anyone want to see a little graphic about historical climate change?
It's from a web comic, but the sources are cited and it's quite interesting to see (especially if you are a geek who loves timelines, like me).
It shows how much our climate has changed over the last 22,000 years but, crucially how the rate of increase we are seeing now is definitely something to be worried about. You have to scroll right down to see it though.

Trump should buy American Rock Salt. Plenty of money to be made ;)

Ontopofthesunset · 06/12/2016 21:03

Why? I don't understand. Even if you are using 'salty' to refer to his opponents presumably they are all bringing their own salt and won't be going to the Multiply Bankrupt One to buy it.

Missswatch · 06/12/2016 21:29

But the tears taste so nice

Kaija · 06/12/2016 21:33

Seize the day, missswatch. Enjoy it while you can.

Lweji · 06/12/2016 21:35

Although to be fair most politicians do

Undoubtedly. And he still managed to stay well ahead of all other candidates in the lying rate, even of Ted Cruz, IIRC.
Quite impressive feat.

RufusTheSpartacusReindeer · 06/12/2016 21:43

Very impressive lweji

He acts like a 10 year old and lies like one too

Missswatch · 06/12/2016 21:53

I will Kaija. You will get your day one day. Which is fine, those on the Trump Train will take it in good spirits. Fair sportsmanship and all

Kaija · 06/12/2016 21:59

Good point, missswatch. Just like Trump said when he thought he'd lost:

"We can't let this happen. We should march on Washington and stop this travesty. Our nation is totally divided!"

Missswatch · 06/12/2016 22:02

They wouldn't have done it

Kaija · 06/12/2016 22:07

True. Might have ended up like this:

Trump (Part 4)
Missswatch · 06/12/2016 22:09

Whoa.... crazies

Lweji · 06/12/2016 22:17

They wouldn't have done it

It's funny how sometimes Trump's word is gospel and at other times it's to be ignored.

BTW, climate change deniers, I hope you're wearing your wellies.
Sea ice extent in Arctic and Antarctic reached record lows in November

Kaija · 06/12/2016 22:20

There is a rather touching and tragic childlike faith in all this.

Lweji · 06/12/2016 22:30

These crazies?

Brexit Supreme Court Hearing Sees Pro-Israel Leprechaun Dance Outside

Yes, that's the sort that Farage attracts.

Kaija · 06/12/2016 22:39

Well just the one. Only 99,999 short of what Farage was hoping for.

Kaija · 06/12/2016 22:42

Meanwhile, latest figure for Clinton votes is 2.7 million more than Trump.

The people have spoken etc etc

InformalRoman · 06/12/2016 22:46

Well just the one. Only 99,999 short of what Farage was hoping for.

Lordy lord, just imagine 100,000 leprechauns jigging around outside the Supreme Court Grin.

Missswatch · 06/12/2016 23:46

Mark Forbes of Fairfax Media has resigned over claims of.sexual harassment. At this rate Trump will have no work to do. The media are doing this to themselves

Lweji · 06/12/2016 23:56

The editor-in-chief of major Melbourne newspaper The Age

Sure. That's cataclysmic in terms of US media.

Did Trump also gather Australian media and called them liars?

Missswatch · 07/12/2016 00:01

Media around the world are losing their shit over Trumps win

Kaija · 07/12/2016 00:03

Not Murdoch that's for sure.

Lweji · 07/12/2016 00:09

Media around the world are losing their shit over Trumps win

Yes, it's the beginning of the end for the media
